Crash
The kid will not stop wailing.
"Shhhhh! Shhhhh!" Kelly's going to come back and think I hit her kid, or something. "Dude! Chill! You just startled me, that's all."
But he's got his eyes closed now and he's on a roll. The whole peninsula has to be able to hear him. And no matter what I say, he won't calm down.
I look at his little body, spasming in the high chair, and look back towards the house, but there's no sign of Kelly, and if I don't get this kid calmed down, she'll think she can't leave him alone with me.
