CHAPTER 25

“Why are you quiet?” Mike asked me after a few moments. I was still shocked.

“Why?” I asked quietly. “Why now? Why after all this time?” I looked at him and sighed. He closed his eyes for a moment and clenched his jaw. He is so hot when he does that!

“She slapped Peter.” He said barely audible, but you could hear angriness in his voice. I reflexively looked at Peter. He was looking down, sadly. My heart melted instantly.

“Oh Peter…” I reached my hand to touch his shoulder and he looked at me with those beautiful big blue eyes and smiled weakly.

“I'm ok miss.” He said nervously.

“You can call me Jess.” I smiled widely to him, kissing him on a cheek. Mike looked at me surprised but I saw sparkles in his eyes. Peter started chuckling and my heart was instantly filled with strange feeling.

I'm already loving this boy!

“How could she?” I looked at Mike seriously. He shook his head in disapproval then looked at me.
