Quirk Test***

I was counting down the days. Just 5 more before I'll be in UA. However this time I sighed. Today was the quirk test, I had already finished a bunch of physical examinations which just left an ability showcase and some kind of machine.

A doctor nodded, "You may start!"

I sighed and picked up the superhuman weight with ease. Rumi was grinning and the doctors all made interesting looks. Why were there three of them? I had to wonder what was in store for me.

"The next one please?"

I stopped, "Can I just lift whichever one I believe I can lift."

They paused and talked. They turned to Rumi and whispered something. Why was Rumi even here? I mean she was the one that drove us here. However, why was she with the doctors?

The doctor who spoke previously answered, "Go ahead."

I nodded and went over to the one that said 900 kg. It was specially made and I picked it up. I had to admit it was a struggle. However I lifted it to the same height as all the others. Placing it back down I called out. "That's about the best I can lift, the next one is 1000 kg and I don't think I can lift that one."

The doctors nodded, "No problem, can you try anyway?"

I sighed and went for it. Just the last weight this was especially made. I assume the number of people who lifted it is a total of 2. Maybe, three if you counted me trying to pick it up. I got about as high as my shins and dropped it. 

They gave me a thumbs up, "Next is the documented energy absorption? You said you can absorb light and heat?"

I nodded and a nurse wheeled in a light. She then handed me a pair of sunglasses. I assume it's to protect my eyes. I put them on and asked, "Is this a heat lamp?"

They didn't answer. In fact they all left the room along with the nurse. I was confused until the microphone connected. "When the light turns on try to absorb as much light in the room as you can. Once done the nurse will replace the bulb. Then we repeat with the heat."

I nodded and a second later the light flashed on. Without the glasses they gave me I'm sure I'd have been blinded. I breathed in and closed my eyes. THe light that pierced through the glasses and my eyelids slowly dimmed. Eventually I couldn't feel the light anymore.

The doctor spoke through the microphone. "Th-That's perfect!"

I opened my eyes and the lamp they brought in was off. The nurse came in and I asked. "How did I do?"

She paused and the doctor spoke through the mic again. "You managed to absorb up to 0.6 lux. It's truly impressive."

Up to 0.6 lux? How much was that? The nurse already changed the bulb and left the room. "Are you ready fo- Oh, you are right. If you are wondering 0.6 Lux is about as dark as the night when the moon is out. Give a thumbs up when you are ready."

I blinked, wasn't that really dark? I decided not to dwell on it and gave a thumbs up. The lamp turned on and a red hue filled the room. The heat of the lamp spread through the room quickly. 

I closed my eyes once more and breathed out a sigh. The heat I felt across my skin increased. While the air around me began to cool. Eventually i heard something crack and I jumped as the bulb of the lamp shattered. I could see my breath and the small observation windows had frost on them.

The doctor said, "-8 celsius, that's wow."

I shook my head in shock. "Are you sure?"

On the other side of the microphone a conversation I couldn't really hear occurred. I guess I wouldn't have an answer. The doctor spoke into the microphone again. "Let's move onto the next test. We feel that more ability testing will prove unfruitful in understanding your quirk."

I rolled my eyes, that's what I said before any of this started. "What's next?"

The nurse came in, "Please follow me to the next room."

So I followed, the nurse paused, "You will need to strip for the next test. Once you are inside it will be explained."

She closed the door behind me and no windows were present in this room. Not even an observation room. There was a large machine and one small camera was on the wall. I shrugged, not really caring if anyone actually saw me naked. Once I was naked I raised my hands up. "Now what?"

The doctor spoke, "This machine is called the Deep Tissue Quirk Indicator. It was made to test mostly mutation quirks and extremely unidentifiable quirks. It was made during the testing of animal quirk discoveries. So you will be put to sleep during the test so as to not cause unjust pain."

I looked at the machine again and the thing looked like a torture device with dozens of needles. What was the metal coffin thing? An iron maiden! That's what it reminded me of. "Are you sure its safe?"

The doctor responded, "Of course, after a lot of ethical and moral debates it was deemed safe in extreme cases."

"What the hell were extreme cases?"

That wasn't really a question I wanted an answer to. However the kind doctor answered anyway. "The case in which it appears someone has multiple quirks, mutative quirks and the very rare unexplainable quirk."

How nice… The doctor explained, "Once ready, get up onto the extended medical bed. From there just stay still and try to relax."

I sighed, I certainly felt queasy looking at all those needles. What can i do though, I jumped up onto the bed. I breathed out as the machine moved. The bed retracted into the machine and I got a face to face with all those needles. I breathed in as I closed my eyes.

Seconds later I could smell some kind of gas within the room. It smelled so sweet, it seemed to come from the machine. I felt my eyelids get heavier. It was sleeping gas, how nice.

New Sub Quirks: Acute Quirk Sensitivity, Subdermal Epoxy, Ageless Genetics, Major Drug Resistance, Living Terror, Energy absorption(Electricity and Radiation.)

Acute Quirk Sensitivity is a sub-quirk that is sensitive to quirk probing techniques. This quirk hides most quirks from probing. Thus sub-quirks like dormancy are kept hidden to protect parental quirk user. 

Subdermal Epoxy, a thin layer of mucus that hides just under the skin. It mimics the properties of Epoxy's puncture resistance. Combined with Athletic Edge this quirk makes one more resistance to large amounts of force like falling.

Ageless Genetics a sub-quirk created to repair all DNA structures. This includes the process of aging.

Major Drug Resistance is a resistance to drugs and substances that may impair abilities. 

Living Terror is a sub-quirk that stores fear and bloodlust created by the user. Said stored feelings can be released in a pinch. Putting any target in terror, panic or nausea.

Energy absorption has been altered due to the exposure of high amounts of radiation and electricity. The sub-quirk can now absorb radiation and electrical energy. However the amount is not as much as Light and Heat and must be trained.

Host waking due to Major Drug Resistance. Host resisting with Waking Slumber. Host remains asleep through drug induced sleep.>
