The second day of the tournament was upon them, but it proved to be a rather uneventful one. Instead of going to watch the matches, Carin subjected Rune and his group to a day of harsh training as final preparation for the upcoming preliminaries.

Aside from receiving a bite on the neck from Luna when he woke up that morning and missing his meet-up with Miriam, nothing really happened. He had a full day's worth of training and then ate dinner and went to bed early. Back in the village of Kin, however, someone else was having the opposite kind of experience.

"The day is finally here!"

Stella made sure to get up early that day. She wanted to be in Venronis to surprise Rune, so she rose from her bed before the sun had even begun to peak over the horizon. It had been less than a year since he left her, and she had spent every moment working alongside her family to raise enough money to reunite with him.
