Chapter 13

"Clumsy, clumsy Little Lamb." He was the one who had caught me. At least that answers one question, he was part vampire too.

Father will kill me.

"Your Father won't kill you, Stella. You will see." Sky interrupts my train of thought.

"Don't you tell her Sky." A husky voice enters my thoughts.

"Who the hell are you?" It is only Stella who talks to me, never any other wolf.

"Stella, this is Midnight." Sky sounded annoyed by my response, and I can tell why.

"Oh shit, my bad your highness." I hear a low growl.

"Never call me that, I gave that title up centuries ago." Anger ignited in his voice.

"Who the fuck are you talking to Midnight?" His voice chimes in, and my entire body tenses.

"Your mate, Micah." Midnight's entire voice changed; he was much friendlier than before.

Suddenly, I feel him drop me, and the conversation ends. I land back on the couch, spilling the remaining soup broth on me.

"What the hell Micah!? Why did you drop her after you ran all the way to grab her in the first place?!" Rose runs into the hallway, going through the 2nd door and coming out with a towel. She comes back and throws the bowl at him, who grabs it, before she tries wiping the broth off my hoodie.

"I-I need a second. I'll go put the bowl up." He ran out of the room; but doesn't return when I believe he should have.

"I'm sorry, that was so unusual of him, he is never clumsy like that, let alone able to catch someone across the house." Rose gives up trying to dry me off, "Here, let me wash your jacket for you."

I take the hoodie off and hand it to her, she seemed used to doing everything around this place, was it just me perceiving things, or did she just let the boys do nothing?

I get why he, or Micah, I should say, ran off, I would have too, if I could walk. The fact that someone you never saw before was in your mind, and your wolf suddenly drops the bomb that they are your mate? Yeah, I would have ran as far as my paws could take me.

I see Rose walking back to the couch, "This was in your jacket, I didn't want it to get ruined in the wash." She hands me my locket before locking her eyes with mine, "You're a royal."

Her entire mood changed, fear deepened inside me, "Sadly, yes, I am…" Her brows furrow, she bites her lip.

"Who are you here for? My brother has done nothing wrong, so leave before I sink my claws in your chest." She inched closer, and my lip quivers.

What does she mean about her brother doing nothing wrong? And why does she think I am here for someone?

"He had nothing to do with what they did to him," She gives a low growl, "So leave." I did not know someone's expression could change so much within minutes.

"I-what are you talking about?" My jaw clenches, I was fighting back Sky, there was no need to fight yet.

"Don't play dumb, Stella, or whoever you really are, I know you are after my brother, so leave before it gets bad." I hear a rumble in her throat, she was fighting back her wolf too.

Suddenly, the other two guys walk into the living room, "Rose, what's going on?" The witch walks over but she pushes him back before he could calm her.

They were mates, I could tell by the pain in her eyes when she pushed him. That was not her doing, she seems to be losing her inner battle with the wolf.

The witch looks back at his friend, then at me and back again, "Devon?" The other one nods and comes toward me.

"I'm done with this shit." Sky took over, I couldn't hold her back any longer. My legs gave out, and when I finally opened my eyes, I saw her white paws.

The vamp was down before my eyes were open too, and Sky was heading for Rose, the witch intervened and tried a sleeping spell, and that was when he realized I was royal. Sky threw him across the room and into the TV.

Sky looked over to Rose who was now wolf too, he was down in one swing, but Sky didn't stop after that, blow after blow she kept going, I gave everything I had to stop her mid sobs, "Stop, you're going to kill her!"

"Stop Sky!" I couldn't even see what was happening, tears filled my eyes, she had all control, I had never seen her like this before, so ruthless, and cruel. "Stop! Please, stop! Make it stop!"

"She is getting in the way of our mates." Sky growls at me, I couldn't even see what she was doing anymore, my eyes went black, I could see nothing.

"What are you doing Sky?" I couldn't breathe, it was as if she were crushing my lungs. She was too powerful at the moment I couldn't get any ounce of control. "Sky-"
