In the morning, the police officer who helped her escape was called to the interrogation room to give his statement. "I was doing my rounds when she requested to be taken to the bathroom. When we got there, she tried to escape, running to the broken passageway. I followed her and tried to stop her. While we were fighting, she pulled a knife from my belt and stabbed me with it."
"Why didn't you call for help when she tried to run away?" The officer asked.
"Because if I had run to get help then she'd have escaped so I tried to stop her on my own." The officer replied.
"Where is the knife? Have you searched for fingerprints?" The inspector asked one of his colleagues.
"Yes we have done that already, there are two fingerprints on the knife, his and the fugitive's." His colleague replied.
The officer nodded. "You can leave, take a short break until your hand heals, we don't want a liability." The inspector said,
