the next day she went to the office

"resignation letter,? why" Nick asked

"I got a new job" Joan said

"is it because of what I said to Callum" Nick asked

"no!!, I thought you didn't like my presence so I looked for another job and besides what did you tell Callum?" Joan said

"you were doing fine here, you don't need to resign, I will leave very soon so you don't have to worry about me" Nick said

"thanks but please accept my resignation" she said and left the office, on her way out.

"it's good you finally realized you were a nuisance here" Alice said and Joan didn't mind her and went on to pack

"he loves me now, so In two months come for the divorce," Alice said and Joan chuckled

"oh goodness but until then he's my husband" Joan said and left the premises

"finally she's out" Alice breathe a sigh of relief but Nick wasn't at peace, how was he going to keep his eyes on her when she's not around, did she really not want to marry him, was she pressured? we're questions he kept on asking with no answer.

the next day during a meeting with his focus somewhere someone walked in with lunch box he looked up and it was Joan

"oh honey, you left early so I brought your food here" she said to him who became confused but happy at the same time

"I apologise but, my husband is hungry and needs to eat, can you give him a minute to eat, this poor wife really had a hard time to get here"

they all excused them and Nick watched her confused as she set up the food

"so eat ,

"I thought you resign and what's all this"

"yes I resigned and this is my full job to be a housewife" she said smiling

"eat or your meeting will not be held" she said as she fed him and he watched her, Alice on the other hand hated every bit of it.

he ate and the meeting went on, Joan waited for him and after the meeting she held his hand in front of the whole staffs and asked him why he wasn't wearing their ring

"thank goodness I found it at home," she said and made him wear it

Mr Luke asked her what she was doing and in front of them she said

"he's my husband now, we just got married, he was my childhood love and I forced him into married when he came back"

Nick stared and she held his hand

"hubby! let's go home, I am tired" she said and he left with her

when they were inside the car

"what's this all about Joan" Nick asked

"I am being your wife, I have decided to follow you anywhere and make sure you love me again, Nick I won't give you up, I will save my marriage" she said and he smiled a little

he drove her to her apartment

"why did you bring me here" Joan asked

"isnt this where you stay"

"no I moved back to your house, I should be with my husband right, come on let's go home I am tired, I will sleep a little"

she was indeed tired from all the packing and moving.

when they got home Alice was there waiting for Nick

"what's she doing here"
