Final Day in Aren

Those words hurt like a spear, especially coming from the president herself.

Regardless, I stand up in silence with my head down and left them on their own. I continue going to the library since it's only my sanctuary.

While there, I look for books about the Child of Darkness but there seems to be none. However, there is one thing I understand. Magic has 7 elemental attributes with 4 non-elemental ones.

Fire, earth, wind, lightning, nature, light, and dark. As for the non-elemental, they are enchanting, mental, beast, and unique.

Enchanting spells are enhancing type of magic. They can enhance equipments and a person's capabilities. They are mostly used by supporters and enchanters. Mental spells refer to the abilities that affect the mind of the opponent. As for the beast, they are non-elemental abilities that originate from the monsters. While unique is what it says.

Right now, most of my skills are unique types. I don't have any elemental spells yet, and I cannot learn them since I need an attribute.

For example, I cannot learn [Fire Ball], the most basic spell sold on the market without a fire attribute. Right now, the attributes I only have are Mental, Beast, Spatial and Dark.

It is quite annoying since the system is telling me to defy the church. No one in Aren teaches mental and beast spells. Spatial and Dark spells are banned in this kingdom.

Especially the nobilities, they hate dark arts to their core. No wonder the princess was so mad at me earlier.

I scratch my head in frustration.

God, what am I supposed to do?!

Spatial spells are advanced dark affinity spells. The church is even more strict with them. Even amongst the dark arts users, only a few can use it. So finding them is almost impossible.

An old lady shows up, she then notices me grimacing.

The old lady is the maid and caretaker of this library. She is the reason why I survived the whole month in the castle.

Whenever I brood over at my table, she will come over and bring me some tea. "You will become old like me if you make that face frequently. So you should smile."

"Thank you, Miss Fritz, you're always so kind to me."

Seeing her smile heals my heart. She also suggests to me the books I should read.

However, this will be the last time I will be in this library.

"If you ever feel down don't hesitate to come here again."

"Miss Fritz, about that... Thank you for everything!" I say aloud.

Upon seeing my sullen look, to my surprise, she then hugs me tightly and pats my back. "I understand that you want to leave. Just make sure to take care of yourself."

"I will!"

I then run from the library. It's hard for me to the final goodbye to her. I'm even tearing up.

She reminds me of my grandmother who passed away recently.

Tomorrow shall be the day I will leave this country. After I farm for EXP on the Malvis forest, I'll just disappear from my classmates.

I will have no regrets.

I then come down from the castle and into the city. As always, those bastards from the church are trailing me. However, I ignore them for a while. Going into the Aren forest, I continue farming for EXP.

As wild boars continue attacking me, I use my fingers as claws with my unique skill [Vampiric Slash]. I then rake them into pieces. They are weak and the EXP I gain is negligible. However, they make for good food.

I stay here and set up a fire camp.

I spend my time eating here since the people from the castle including my classmates don't treat me well.

It's kind of ironic since I always hang with them well without problems back then.

Things change quickly, huh?

A roar shatters the air which catches my attention.

Looking up, to my surprise, a giant lion the size of a tank with large draconic wings soars the skies. It roars mightily taking the attention of the guards.

What the hell is that?!

[Lioragon (General Monster)

Level: 80 ]

General Monster? Seeing its high level, it's bad news. It's the highest level monster yet I have come across. It also has a higher HP than the beasts in its level.

I then come across some of my classmates. I try to talk to them but they ignore me as they continue running towards the Lioragon.

"Hey?!"

I sigh.

None paid attention to me. Though they seem to be panicking since they are chasing the Lioragon urgently.

I follow them.

I then hear them talk. "Dude, it was your fault that thing escaped the dungeon?"

"Nah dude, it's yours. I only plan to lure it to a corner."

One of them is Nova, he notices me and talks to me. He looks friendly and approachable. "Oh Myla, didn't see you there."

"What happened?"

"We screwed up and accidentally let this thing escape the dungeon, hehe, I guess."

The Lioragon flies to a wall and lands upon the ramparts. It roars and shoots out flames from its mouth, burning the guards that approach it.

The guards fall from the wall while their bodies are on fire.

My classmates got taken aback seeing the dead guards.

"Someone just died... because of us?!" They are frozen as they reflect upon their actions.

Another student got angry, he hold his friend's collar and stare at him in the eye. "If only you didn't act arrogant back then this wouldn't have happened."

"Shut up, it was you who came up with that dumb plan."

My classmates begin to argue with each other. More guards are being killed by the creature causing more trauma to my classmates.

Even I feel overwhelmed. We just realized that our actions will bear a heavy consequence in this world. When we thought we are given powers, we thought we can do anything we want, but that isn't the case.

That's what these fools are probably thinking. However, I have always thought these things through even before I came here.

This world is not a game. It is reality!

I then run towards the wall and climb up by running sideways. I can hear my classmates getting impressed.

"She can do that?"

"What is with her?"

As a vampire, I always feel that my body is light and agile. Although ever since I came into this world I have always been athletic. The system just gave my body some improvements.

Upon reaching the ramparts, I flip before I land.

Looks like my acrobatic skill is top-notch as well.

I then call out to the guards. "Call the other heroes. I'll hold this thing from here." Even though I hate their guts, I have no choice but to rely on them.

Right now, the only thing I can do is to hold this creature in place so there won't be any more casualties.

My eyes turn sharp as I use [Warmblood Sensing]. I can also use this skill to see the insides of the Lioragon. Its beating heart, entrails, and blood flow.

Since I know I won't be able to defeat it in the usual way, I'm going to beat this creature as how vampires fight. Glad, I learned this move from my favorite western novel.

With [Break Dash]! I then accelerate and appear in front of the Lioragon. The Lioragon swings its long claws at me which causes me to dodge and slide below the creature.

While I am under the creature, with my eyes I can see its head-sized heart.

Here!

I then aim for its heart and use [Vampiric Slash]!

I'm gonna gauge out its heart to instantly kill it.

Upon sinking my claws, blood splatters out. However, I can't even penetrate its ribs.

This thing is tough!

The Lioragon roars from pain. It then steps aside and my position is revealed. It showers me with flames which cause me to roll away and dodge it.

I pant as I continue to evade each attack.

Right now, since it's going on the offensive, I can't attack.

My uniform catches on flames which I quickly put out.

At that moment, several of my classmates show up. Alfred is not here but it seems his friends are.

William, the right hand of Alfred says. "What's this? Taking all the glory for yourself, huh?"

His friends are there too. "Oh, it looks like the bitch is here."

"Shoo, shoo, this thing is ours."

They must have wanted me away from this place so they can get all the EXP by themselves. Especially, the one who can kill it will gain the most EXP.

My other classmates show up as well, including the president. She just stares at me but ignores me.

The others look at me with an annoyed look.

I sigh and stand up. I walk away and give that thing to them.

Looking at them they are fighting the beast, though they seem to be having a hard time.

Alfred's friends kept on getting blown away since they don't have the agility to keep up with its attacks.

Right now, my classmates are divided into two. Those who attack and those who act as support.

As for Shira, she seems to be holding her ground but I can't see them defeating that thing yet.

Shira lands several cuts upon the creature a couple of times but they are all shallows cuts. "Damn it! One more time!"

Shira is well-suited in this type of combat. She has well-balanced agility, defense, stamina, and strength. Not to mention, her stats are high compared to ours. Even though she can't beat that thing in a short amount of time, she makes everyone look useless.

However, the fight is dragging on, they become battered. They are panting as they are hitting their limit. Especially, Shira is slowing down yet the creature is still as strong as before.

"Where the hell is Alfred when we need him?" A friend of Alfred says.

I hope they don't realize I took him out.

William yells at me. "Yo bitch, how dare you just sit around while we are in trouble?!"

I click my tongue.

First, they don't want me to interfere then they are asking for my help? They are too annoying now.

Shira gets blown away as she blocks the heavy claws of the Lioragon. She lands rolling away with a cough. Everyone looks worried but she stands up quickly.

The fallen Shira stands up from the ground. She extends her sword out as she readies herself again.

Leon the class secretary cheers. "Go, president!"

"President, go kill that thing!"

Shira takes a deep breath. She stays determined. "Thank you, everyone, your support will empower my blade! If we work together, nothing in this world can stop us." She yells at the Lioragon. "Hey you monster, you hear that?! This is the power of the entire class!"

Seriously? I cringe slightly at what she says. I get the usual protagonist vibe from her.

Everyone seems to be supporting her except Lara. She clicks her tongue. "That damn president, always on the spotlight again."

Lara's friends are talking to her. "At this pace, she will steal all your popularity."

Man, I can't wait until I get out of this place.

Eventually, Shira then manages to cleave the Lioragon eventually after repeated attacks. "Third form, draconic stance!" She yells as she cuts the beast down.

Since it took too long for them to defeat it, I didn't gain an assist which is sad.

Afterward, when the night came, the King celebrated them back at the castle. The King congratulated Shira that she got a new title after defeating that beast.

However, I'm not interested in their little event.

I just stare at the window alone. Things will feel sour if I'm there after all.

I notice one classmate is staring at me. She is a timid and kind girl. Her name is Sena I think. When I look at her, she looks scared and runs away.

Huh? What's with her?
