Chapter 33 - Awake

Jihye

"What happened to our marriage?" My wife asked while I was sitting across her. We have been talking to each other for almost two hours probably confused about how we got married and she has been asking some questions from time to time and I don' even mind for one bit because first of all, I want my wife to know everything about her, secondly, I will give her the information that we did in the past and I'm not gonna lie with everything. I wanted to be honest with her and she deserves that everyone deserves the true stories when it comes to love stories.

"So, what happened is we have an Arranged Marriage" she furrowed her brows in confusion

"What exactly is an Arranged Marriage?" She asked while taking a bite of her salad

"Arranged Marriage is where you will marry a person not because you want to but because it's either for your parents, for the company, or something else" She hummed and drank her water

"So, what's the reason. Why did we get married?" She looked at me

"Well, your parents and my parents were certainly close. They have been friends since High School I guess and they have wished for us and that wishes are we need to get married so that their friendship will stay stronger and last longer and the other thing is your father and mother don't want your wealth to be passed with a random family they wanted it to be with someone who could they certainly trust with. So, they decided to choose me" Lauren formed an 'O' to her mouth while processing everything. I'm trying my best not to spill everything because I want to tell everything with Leslie when it comes to her real father.

"What does our marriage look like? Are we close? Did we fight? Did I do something stupid?" I chuckled and held her hand again

"Sweetheart, we're so close to each other through at the first day of our marriage you need to go back to Los Angeles because of your work and I understand that but you know when you were at Los Angeles we are throwing text to each other and we're trying to get to know each other and getting close and it worked. When you come back we've grown closer because we are talking personally and taking care of each other" She smiled while she gripped my hand

"I confessed that I like when we were at your parent's house. You were shocked at first but you told me that everything will be okay and someday soon for sure you'll like me back, You want me to prove everything to you so I did even before we got married" she blushed while I smiled "We decided to visit Paris or it was my idea because I want to celebrate our late honeymoon at that time we are very comfortable at each other since you confessed that you also like me. That's where our love story started and our 'first times'" I explained

"How about Jayden?" She asked instantly

"Two months after our trip to Paris, that's when you knew that you were pregnant and you were so stoked at that moment because you're finally having a child," I said sincerely

"Us. We're having a child" I blushed while she was looking at me in the eyes, it seems like our love story is starting again and I'm loving it "so, how'd it go?"

"Well, honestly it went well. We're taking turns taking care of him and you honestly like buying him some luxury stuff and your fans are laughing about it" she giggled "but I promise you when you were in a coma. Jayden was growing up so well and he missed you so much" Lauren sighed sadly "and I miss you. I wholeheartedly do" I whispered looking at her lovingly. All of a sudden she just hugged me and I was surprised at first but I need this. I certainly do so I hug her tightly. Whispering some sweet words.

"I'm sorry," she said "I know I have no idea what happened in the past but I want you to know that I'm back, I-I'm gonna start again. I-I don't k-know h-how b-but" I shushed her

"Hey" I whispered "I'm here, we're here. I'm your wife and I'm gonna help you, Jayden and I will be here for you and we're gonna take everything slow okay? You don't have to rush things because your trying to gain back your energy and don't pressure yourself to do it because everything takes time"  she sigh but she managed to smile at me and it melted my heart because finally a few hours of talking to her that's when I realized that her smile stays the same, she's still so beautiful.

"Thank you" she whispered while I kissed her hands and she hugged me. These are the things that I was waiting for, I'm hugging her and it was enough for now. I miss these moments with her, I'm finally feeling the warmth and the feeling that I've been waiting for. I'm home again, I'm in her arms again.

Two years of waiting for her is torture. As I mentioned, she was my home and the two years without her I feel like I was just in a cave alone, dark and gloomy. I feel incomplete and lonely like I have no friends besides me and now that my wife is back it feels like everything is going in the right place already. She's not back on her feet but slowly she will. We will. I love her and I promise to myself that I will be patient and help her with everything.

She was hugging me tightly not wanting me to let go and I don't mind. The door opened revealing my parents and Jayden. We pulled out the hug and Lauren blushed, it feels like she got shy because she saw some new faces but Jayden instantly went to her and gave her some flowers.

"Can I join the hug?" He asked cutely and showed his pouty face

Lauren chuckled and opened her arms while I helped him jump in the bed and he instantly went to her mother's arms while Lauren also opened the other one for me. I didn't hesitate to be in that arms again so I did. We hug her tightly and she deserves it. She was kissing Jayden's head and saying how sorry she was while Jayden was just humming and enjoying the moment.

Once we were done doing our moments together. I introduce her to my parents and Junwa instantly introduce himself and I was happy about it. Lauren was just silent while she was listening to my parent's and I was talking with Kai and Krystal. My Mom was telling her how much she missed her even my Dad. I'm happy that they certainly love Lauren.

Lauren

Waking up in an unfamiliar room, all white and uncomfortable bed is something that I don't expect. Another thing is, you are face to face with people with who you're not familiar.

When I woke up everything just feel so different, I feel like I'm new to the world, It feels like I'm made again without someone beside me, without the warmth of my mother but everything quickly changed when I met the people around me.

They were telling me that they are my family and they have been waiting for me for two years and I was hesitant at first, I wasn't believing them that they are my family but when I saw their eyes, it seems like everything was so real and honest.

Today...I met my mother and my stepfather, my step-siblings and I feel comfortable towards them already, I couldn't lie. I wanted to feel my mother's warmth again, I felt like I lost her for so long.

Another thing that shocked me is I'm married. I have a wife and I have a son. The first time I saw her, everything just fades away, everything went slow. When she went inside the room and I couldn't lie I was instantly attracted to her eyes and her lips. When she touched me everything is so familiar, I feel safe towards her, I feel like I know her for so long and I don't know why I decided to be talkative but I don't care. I want to know her and more of myself.

I met her family and they were so kind to me, her mother told me back then I called her Mom and I called her husband Dad. They just reminded me that I should still call them that since Jihye is still my wife and I'm thankful for it.

Right now, Jayden was sleeping in my lap while Jihye was asleep on the couch. I was playing with Jayden's hair when I saw the ring on my finger again, it looks so beautiful and luxurious. I removed it from my fingers and I instantly saw Jihye's name on it and I that she certainly is my wife. I smiled and put it back on.

I looked at Jayden and I covered him with a blanket, I caress his cheek and kiss the top of his head. She really looks like Jihye but what I certainly love about him is his eyes, it just looks like her 'Dada' as I remember. I smiled at the thought.

A while ago, when her parents decided to leave. Jihye was saying goodbye to them and Jayden was begging her to carry him and he was calling him 'Dada' I found it so cute, it melted my heart so much that I just want to die from it.

I decided to go back to sleep, tomorrow I'll see my mother again. I closed the lamp right beside me and I hug Jayden wanting to feel him. My life is slowly going back to place even though I couldn't remember that much, I don't know them truthfully but I know the important thing for now is I have a family, I have them and as far as I know, that's the most important thing in life. Without family, there's no happiness.

It was already ten in the morning and Jihye and Jayden went home so they could take a bath promised me that they will be back with some food on their hands and I'm excited about it.

My parents just arrived with some breakfast and they are cleaning my room. My mother told me that I called her 'Mommy' while I called my father 'Dad'. They were so happy seeing me awake and they couldn't wait for more accomplishments.

"U-uh, M-mommy?" I called out while looking at her, she instantly looked at me and smiled

"What is it?" She asked sitting at the chair beside me and holding my hands. I smiled and sigh

"S-so. Uhm what does stepfather mean?" I asked shuttering, she gripped my hand she looks at Dad who was nodding at her and she looks at me again while holding my hand

"Stepfather means is someone who is a husband or partner after the divorce or separation of one's parent" I looked at her in shocked

"S-so i-it means. D-dad" I looked at him and he nodded "He's n-not m-my real f-father?" I asked whispering while I also gripped my mother's hands.

"Yes sweetie"

I was confused when my mother isn't even worried about telling it to me. As far as I know, when someone wants to confess or ask someone about something they were afraid of they will just be nervous and it will take the time to open up everything but when it comes to Mommy she wasn't. She was even smiling at me and it seems like she was used to it.

"When you were a child your father and I decided to part ways, we got a divorce but I decided to let your father raise you because I know he wanted to have you in his life, I still have the communication to the both of you, I was relieved because he was taking care of you so well. You're the Unica Hija when it comes to his family side, he was the only son of the Walton's and you are the most important person to them since you're the very first grandkid" I smiled thinking of it. It seems like I'm certainly important.

"You were closed with her parents and they are taking care of you so well and treating you so good. They love you so much because you're the kindest and sweetest person and you also learned a lot, you are a smart and hard-working girl. When you were there with them they thought you how to do chores and you like taking care of your father" I grinned

"Your father was so proud of you that he wanted to shout it from the rooftops. You are a successful Model, CEO, and businesswoman. You have a lot of talent and you have the nicest and sweetest friends especially Suzy. Your father loves you so much" I nodded and I couldn't help but smile more

"What's his name?" I asked

"His name is Ben Walton," she says while already nervous what my next question is

"Where is he?" I said in joy and that's when I saw her sigh and she looked at Dad again and he rub my mother's back while he sat beside me resting her hand on my back

"He's gone" I furrowed my brows in confusion

"G-gone? W-what d-do y-you m-mean?" I shuttered

"He's dead Honey for five years now" I don't know what to feel but a tear just escaped from my eyes, Mommy wipe it away using her thumb and Dad hugged me from the side rubbing my arms

"W-what h-happened?"

"When you were twelve, your dad was diagnosed with cancer and the reason why you worked hard is that you were taking care of him. You both do the things that he likes but he manages to show you to be a good father, you are the one he had and that's why I decided not to get you when I left for Korea. He was so happy around you and I'm just thankful because you grew up so respectful. Your father loves you so much and whenever I see you, I can see how your father raise you" I didn't know what to say, I just hugged my Mom and sobbed while my Mom cooed me and told me that Dad and she will be there for me.

Jihye

Jayden and I came inside the room, I sigh when I saw Lauren fall asleep with the photo album in her hands, she was holding it tightly. Mommy and Dowon told me what happened and it broke my heart when I heard that she cried, it seems like she knows everything. I sat in the chair beside her bed and took her hands while Jayden was busy watching on my phone.

"My poor baby" I mumbled while caressing her cheek,

She looks so fragile, I know how sensitive she will be but I couldn't care less. All she needs was to heal.

"I love you so much, Lauren. You don't even know" I said while I kissed her hands and caressed them while looking at her.
