A Calculative Squirrel

Elara woke up with a stretch; her alarm went off, startling her fully awake. Turning it off, she yawned lightly, walking out of her bedroom to brush, wash her face, and then put on her gym outfit.

After exercising for an hour, she took a quick shower and did her skincare and haircare routine before putting on some cozy home clothes and slippers.

"What should I make today?" Elara pondered, her eyes scanning through her kitchen.

After much deliberation, she decided to make some spicy shakshuka. Although she wasn't a fan of spicy food, a certain someone did so she decided to compromise for today.

Soon, she was done, and after taking off her apron, she dished out the meal and began setting up the table.

While placing the food on the dining table, the doorbell rang. Smiling knowingly, she placed the last serving and taking off her gloves, went to answer the doorbell.

Standing before her after she opened the door was a tall lady with pretty blue eyes, blushed cheeks, and short white hair that fell lightly to her shoulder.

However, the most eye-catching thing was her outfit. She was dressed up in a cosplay outfit of AOT, and just before Elara could let out a peep, she jokingly made an army salute to her, leaving her speechless.

Looking at the cheeky lady, Elara rolled her eyes, "Get in here idiot."

Going to the refrigerator to get some drinks, Elara questioned the white-haired lady who had already taken a seat, "I thought we'd have breakfast first before jumping right into it."

Taking a large gulp of the coke Elara had served her, the lady replied, "It's nothing; I can always change, I just felt like being a bit extra before coming, you know?"

"Suit yourself. You know where to change, and hurry up the food will get cold."

"Roger that captain."

"Yeah, yeah."

After waiting till mushrooms grew on her hair Elara finally had it.

"Star!" she exclaimed in annoyance, what was taking that girl so long?!

"Chill out! Am coming!" Star responded, finally stumbling out.

She had on an oversized shirt and loose trousers with her pale hair in a small ponytail. Walking up to the glaring Elara, she sat directly opposite her, smiling stupidly.

"That's not a wig? I thought you didn't want to dye your hair?" Elara asked surprisingly while Star uncovered the plates of food getting ready to dig in.

"Oh my spicy shakshuka, nice! And yeah, I don't like dyeing my hair, but this is a once-in-a-while thing, and if I take care of my hair well, it shouldn't be a problem. You should try it sometime," Star said picking up her cutleries to start eating.

"I can't do that, 4c hair is different. I'd rather get a wig," Elara said with a slight frown while also reaching out for her cutleries, "Well, whatever, let's get to eating…"

Watching Star already stuffing her face with food Elara rolled her eyes playfully before digging in as well.

"So, what had you been up to throughout our departure?" Star asked while applying Elara's makeup.

"Nothing much, just these and that."

They had finished dressing up for the upcoming livestream with only the remaining thing being Elara's makeup.

Star had on a shiny leather-like red and white eccentric-looking outfit with gold accents. On top was a cropped military-style jacket with gold buttons, leaving the midriff exposed with a glimpse of a black brassiere covered by a tie that stopped just on top of her skirt.

Her skirt was short and pleated with a high-low hem, the back flowing down to her knees. Matching the ensemble was a red top hat with a long feather boa draped over her back, thigh-high stockings, a pair of brown gloves, a cane and boots.

Paired with her white hair, flashy red lipstick, and classy makeup, she looked like a flamboyant ringmaster.

As for Elara, her outfit was slightly more nutty.

She wore a black, form-fitting, fuzzy-textured leotard, enunciating her curvy shape. It had a high-cut design on the legs, white fur trims around the neckline and leg openings, and a belt wrapped around it giving it a more innovative look.

A hose ran from the high cut of the leotard to her feet, and lastly, a pair of black ankle-length boot heels. Combined with the long, curved, fluffy squirrel tail and short round ears, her outfit was complete.

After completing her makeup, Star let Elara's curly black hair fall onto her back. She stood up stretching her sore muscles from having been seated for too long.

"Can I see?" she asked, excited to see her final look.

"Sure~, you'll be impressed by how pretty you look!" Star said proudly.

Walking up to the mirror beside her, Elara was indeed astonished by her look. Unlike the innocent and adventurous look she had anticipated, what faced her was far different.

The black and white outfit, along with her gothic-like makeup and black hair that covered half of her face, gave her a moody elegance that contrasted with the innocence of a sciurid. She was like a wild squirrel, having experienced the gloom of the world, matured over time into a calculative creature whose innocent exterior vastly differed from its true melancholic nature.

It was a soulfully beautiful look.

"So, what do you think?"

" Hypnotizing," Elara said in a daze.

Star smirked, her already wild look turning more rogue, and with a little twirl of her cane, said dramatically, "Let the curtains be drawn, for the show has just begun!"
