A New job

It's been two weeks since Bloom became Lord Azazel's assistant. Her former colleagues all thought that Bloom was reaping the rewards of her hard work and that is why she was promoted.

The rumor were that Mr Shaw had seen her report and was awe so he investigated her and promoted her to work for him.

Bloom's colleagues had even celebrated it and Bloom had to put in a fake smile all through. It was exhausting for her.

Bloom had been working close with Claire, she even found out that Claire was half vampire and half human but her mom was a witch.

So far Bloom's work has been to humans and she couldn't be more greatful. Bloom didn't want to think about working with supernaturals for now even if claire had explained that no one of them can touch her.

Lord Azazel's orders are always delivered by Claire. Bloom haven't met any other vampires apart from claire.

Most of the humans - or Normads as the supernatural calls them - that Bloom had spoken to seemed to be aware of who he was since they addressed him as Lord Shaw.

Claire have explained that only a few people can address Lord Azazel by his name Azazel. Most of the humans Bloom had communicated with on behalf of Lord Azazel are all extremely powerful people in all sectors of life. From the business world, to the entertainment industry, to government sectors and officials.

Bloom realized that Claire was right when she told her that Lord Azazel had a lot of influence. Bloom didn't know if she was enjoying her new job or not. She was just glad to be alive.

Bloom certainly missed her colleagues. On the top floor, there was only her, Mr Shaw and Claire.

Bloom didn't know if there were other offices since she hadn't really explored the floor and she had her own personal bathroom.

"Hey human." A voice said from the entrance.

Bloom took her eyes away from the computer screen to see who was standing by her door.

Bloom's heart thundered in her chest as the red haired guy who tried to compell came into her office and sat down on one of the chairs in front of her desk.

"I haven't introduced myself properly. My name is Grey". He stretched out his hand to Bloom.

Bloom nervously shook his hand before retreating it immediately.

"I see you are already working for Lord Azazel."

Bloom didn't respond to that.

"I knew he wouldn't just let you go just like that." He said as he assessed her.

"Do you need something?" Bloom asks.

"I just came to see the first human i couldn't compell."

"Are you mad at me about that?"

"No, I'm surprised."

"Hmm." Bloomed hummed and turned her attention back to her computer screen.

It seemed to Bloom that he just came to check her out. Although she vividly noticed his presence sje tried to not let it bother her but it did.

After sitting there and watching her for over ten minutes Bloom turned to him.

"Don't you have something to do?" Bloom asked in annoyance.

Grey raised his brows at her reaction.

"If you don't I do and you watching me is creepy." Bloom continued.

He leaned away from his seat and leaned towards her table.

His eyes brewed into hers. Bloom noticed that his eyes were not glowing red this time but was actually green.

"You know what is creepy-." Grey began "-what is creepy is being compelled by a four hundred year old Vampire who has the ability to get into anyone's head and still be unaffected."

Bloom knew he was talking about her. She had also thought about it but she just couldn't figure it out.

Bloom took a deep breath and also leaned towards him. She stared into his green eyes too, refusing to be intimidated.

"You know what's creepier-" Bloom started. "Staring at a girl for ten minutes unblinking. So do the both of us a favour and leave. I'm busy." Bloom finally leaned away and turn her attention back to her computer screen.

Grey's mouth was left agape. A lot of things have happened to him over the centuries but this was certainly different.

Grey knew Bloom was afraid of what he was but she wasn't freaked out or shaking instead she stood her ground.

"That's fair." Grey surrendered.

"I'll leave " he stood up and headed towards the door.

"Mr Grey" Bloom called stopping Grey.

She opened her her picked out three lollipops. She stood up and walked up to him.

"Thank you for visiting." She said with a smile as she handed him the lollipops.

Grey looked at the gift and back at the girl. His lips rose up in a grin.

She really was weird.

"It's Grey, just Grey." He said before heading out.

Bloom took a deep breath. Her new job was certainly different.
