Chapter 27-Yours Forever...

Before heading up to bed, we all check the entire house. We want to ensure no one is hiding and jumping out while sleeping. Someone out there wants to kill Ryder, and we are all expendable.

Darryl even helps. As soon as we finish, he and LeAnn leave for the night.

We feel better once all the doors and windows are locked and the alarm system is armed. Freddie tells us he took Darryl's tablet and will be sleeping with it. If there is the slightest movement downstairs or anyone hacks the system, he will be notified the moment it happens.

Once Darryl left, Freddie went and did an entire house sweep. It's obvious he does not trust Darryl. Joe followed him patiently, knowing Freddie's dislike of Darryl was the reason behind it.

Once in our bedroom, I exhale. I pick up Bell and cuddle with her as I stand before the picture window.
