Goodbye, Island X (1)

308064—the number of soldiers who had survived on Island X.

Most of these soldiers were Troopers, their numbers approaching 300000. 8000 were Captains, and out of the 240 Commanders, over half had remained alive. However, there was no Commander-ranked soldier in this gathered alliance. No.

The surviving Commanders had fused to become 50 abominations, their strength lingering between a Commander and a General.

10 was the number of super abominations—a fused version of two General-ranked soldiers.

And 4 were Supreme Generals, their strength incomprehensible; their fusion, an impossibility.

Now Kai saw them all; like crickets lined up in the valley between him and the Cloudbreak Spire. Tick-Tack-Tick! The sound arrived in his ears, the march of a colossal army ringing in his ears like the song of bugs.

He walked toward them, eying the 4 beings hovering above the Spire's top in the distance. It was as if they found it diminutive to come at him together, using their full force.

Suit yourself, he would say to them, if they cared to listen.

They were still holding hands, fingers entwined. He could feel it, her blood pulsing under the layers of shadow suit and her skin. It was throbbing. Her heart must be pounding, he knew.

And yet, Kai felt nothing.

He smiled, anyway. That much he could do. The much he ought to do, right?

The earth beneath his feet suddenly picked up the rumble. The Troopers and Captains were all charging him at once, their roar shaking the sky; and the sun, an orange-red globe just half an hour away from saying goodbye.

The survivors deserved this march, the honor of trying their blades, spells, and gazes at the Old Demon. No one among them was weak. Nor did they lack the courage to come at him so openly.

Let them.

These brave men and women… were not enough to make him let go of Cersei's hand.

A silent wind whispered in his ears, his hair rising, falling, and stirring wildly. Today was a good day to kill, the wind said. Today was as good a day as the one when he had killed so many with the face of Ryan, slaughtering them in their sleep. No? Hadn't he smiled when he had killed Greta, the girl from Death Eaters? Then why wasn't he smiling now?

Kai wished, and the wind left him alone, the corners of his lips arching up for the umpteenth time. Another empty attempt. Failed again.

The 308000 soldiers bloated the sky like dark clouds galloping toward him. Then they broke in several flanks, bent on surrounding the three of them from all around.

Selene never opened her third eye to look at them. The rhythm of Kai's steps had yet to fluctuate, she could tell. And she had known her master for long enough to know what that meant.

The dark clouds become the descent of the darkest, moonless, and starless night as the soldiers "fell" toward the three of them. It was as if they just wanted to squash them under sheer weight. Their eyes looked murderous and loathing enough to make them do something so crazy, at least.

They were packed together so tight that it was hard to tell where the Pokemon ended and where the man began. The Wights, the blue-eyed undead, were pressed into the magical creatures from Death Eaters' camp, both growling inhumanely. From above, groups of wizards and witches were falling toward him like kamikazes.

In the middle of all this, a white-robed old man walked hand-in-hand with stunning, shadowy beauty. A ghost-like serpent slithered around them, its hisses condescending.

A gust of wind tore its way through the gaps, rushed its way to Kai the fastest, and listed his white-grayish hair.

By the time they fell back, they were already glowing yellow.

Kai's brilliant, old but alive, hazel pupils narrowed into thin needles, the aura of a Conqueror oozing out of his every pore.

Crack!

Bolts of yellow lightning cracked, tearing the space apart. A thunderous boom rang out. With Kai as the center, a storm of lightning rippled out in all directions, instantly covering a distance of 1000 meters.

The murderous and hateful eyes rolled back in the head. Those who didn't have eyes became still like rocks. And the undead began splitting apart, disintegrating into fine dust particles.

No need to thank me, the Haki-storm said as it passed them, rumbling the very fabric of space.

And it kept going.

The storm hit the Commander-level abominations first, their knees buckling; as they should in the presence of Old Demon, the White Serpent Emperor.

It hit the super abominations, next. Hearts shook and the corners of their eyes split apart, tears of blood streaming down their cheeks; as they should at the sight of Rain Slaughterer, the False One.

The Haki-storm had all but faded when it reached the four Beings hovering at the top of Cloudbreak Spire, but it persisted. A greeting was a must, it seemed to say, before the showdown.

Mewtwo's eyes shone blue and knocked it back.

Odd fellow, Kai remarked, bodies raining down around him like raindrops. So grumpy.

Nobody fell where Kai's path lay as if they dared not fall in that direction—even if they were unconscious.

When the group of three walked out of this odd rain, leaving hundreds of thousands of bodies behind, they found the 50 abominations first. All knees bent, digging deep into the hard rock. In the middle was a Charizard, garbed in a Dementor's cloak. Tendrils of blue-white fire escaped its nostrils in defiance; in vain.

The might of an emperor was not to be slighted. Never.

Kai looked at these abominations, at the 10 strongest. He looked into their eyes, one by one, and he nodded. "Not bad," he commented, looking up, his voice aged and feeble. "These 10 are far better than the others."

Hovering at the top of the Spire, Supreme General Albus Dumbledore smiled. "Thank you."

Kai brought his gaze back. "No need," he shook his head. "Selene. I leave them to you."

Selene snapped her head and hissed, slowing down. Kai and Cersei kept walking and soon passed the 50 kneeled soldiers, their knees trembling, their heads down.

It was then Kai snapped his fingers, magic spilling out of him like a torrent.

Booms and bangs tore the silent valley open, and the 6 ft long Ghost Basilisk suddenly enlarged, becoming a 300 ft monstrous serpent.

Her one eye seemed like a sun, her other a blob of night. She bared her fangs at them all. Her mouth opened like a maw, becoming a boundless chasm.

And then, with a resounding boom, she exploded.

"No!" one of the 50 cried, alarmed, seeing a sea of white-silver mist rushing toward them. "It's the Soul Tsunami! Move! Move! Fucking Move!!!"

Kai lifted the pressure off them, and the abominations rushed in all directions, hoping to avoid contacting the mist. They deserved a chance to fight; to struggle. Kai wouldn't leave them hopeless.

Now appeared the 10 super abominations, their bodies trembling, but their spine straight. They looked down at him from above, these fusions who were once Generals. Now what they were, who knew?

Kai could spy the appearance of General Snape, intermingled with Rayquaza, his height reaching 15 ft, at the least.

On Snape-Rayquaza's left, he saw General Lily Potter, rainbow-colored antlers of Xerneas glowing on her head, her feet hoofed, her color black. On his right, Lord Voldemort seemed to have sprouted flaming, divine wings. His were the eyes of a serpent and of a bird, mixed in a horrifying, hideous fusion. A fusion with Ho-oh, perhaps?

And they kept becoming weirder, one odder than the next. All powerful, beyond measure.

Kai looked at Snape, or whatever he was now, Lily, Voldemort, and Daenerys, scaled and beautiful, the only one among them. "I leave them to you."

For the first time, Cersei lifted her masked face, her eyes bloodshot.

All super abominations frowned at the sight, at her gaze, sensing the bloodlust.

She hated them. She hated them all.

Two large bat-like shadow wings sprouted on her back, and a construct appeared attached to her back.

The clancks of metal rang, and in no time, a black, sleek armor appeared over her, covering her from head to toe.

"You put too much faith in her, Old Demon," Supreme General Jon Snow said from afar, his icy voice chilling Kai's ears. "She can't—"

The Night's Lord held back his words, for General Daenerys, the draconic being, had already become a ray of sunlight, charging at Kai.

On Kai's right, Cersei flew up at the same time, becoming a blur. Two long-barreled silver guns shone red and black under the light of the setting sun.

Even a child could tell if he could discern that Cersei wasn't half as fast as the incoming beast.

General Daenerys, with a mocking smile on her face, charged at Cersei. Her thick, scaled fingers balled into a fist, her nostrils spitting out fumes of hot ash. It was as if she had decided to ram into the black-armored figure.

There was no avoiding this charge. Cersei was destined to get annihilated.

If she had been the Cersei of the past, that is.

Cersei's green, fiery eyes reflected the head-sized fist, and time stagnated. Wind halted, and the sounds vanished. Frame by frame, Daenerys' fist moved forward.

Frame by frame, all mocking smiles disappeared.

And then the world shifted to Cersei's right.

Kenbunshoku Haki!

One moment, the Shadow Queen was in front of General Daenerys, awaiting her death. In the other, she was hovering on Daenerys' right, the gun in Cersei's hand pointed at the General's temple.

The nozzle of the gun felt cold against Daenerys' burning scales, her slitted pupils widening in shock.

Cersei pulled the trigger.

BANG!
