Chapter 82 End Almost

Karna watched as the island began to get closer and closer. He began to use more and more magic into Deliora hoping it would end soon.

And suddenly it did. Deliora vanished, turned into dust.

Immediately Karna created an FRJ arrow and threw it and activated it, teleporting himself, thereby making his velocity essentially zero. A really useful fact that he had planned to use in such situations.

Karna got to velocity zero and fell into the ocean. He then swam to the shore. When he reached there he switched off his demon slaying form. Suddenly as if he lost all feeling of the body, he fell to the ground. He was not able to understand what happened for a few moments and then it hit him.

The expenditure had increased compared to last time. Last time, he was dealing with a weaker level demon among the demons of Zeref, so the amount of death energy required to kill the demon was not too much. But Deliora was an entirely different being. He was already stronger than Ur who was at the level of a wizard saint at that time along with being overcharged with the life of dozens of demons made him many levels higher.

So, the death energy required to wipe him off was even greater than used before.

'but I did not feel anything while in the demon slayer form and only felt it after I released it' Karna speculated 'last time I did not feel anything. Was the difference between the two demon that high and if so the fact that I only felt the exhaustion only after I left the form because of the death element'

If that's the reason, Karna knew that he had to find a way to learn more about his powers, if not the Tartarus Demons that he has to face in the future might be even stronger than the currently boosted Deliora. Chances are after winning the battle and turning back into human form, he might just die or turn into ash because of the backlash of using the death energy in its own form.

After an hour

Karna was still on the ground. Right now, he was able to move his face and was able to talk. He was glad that he had fell on his back on the sand after turning back. If he had fallen forward on back into the sea, his journey would have ended with lack of air. Now, that's something he was sure Jason will laugh at his face for. He was sure that Jason will not mind that he lost the mission of saving the world. He will just laugh at him continuously like a kid.

Most of all Karna had no need to face that. Right now, even though his face was recovered, he knew that it would take a few hours for him to move his body. But his magic is completely inaccessible. It almost looked like his body has taken some time to completely rest for some time. Even if he has the horse talisman, it won't heal the damage to stamina and magic level, and something told him that using the mana potion might be harmful for him

Suddenly it hit him, his tiredness of body will be fixed within a few hours because of which he will be able to walk, only his magic will take a few days to come back. And Incursio does not depend upon magic but depends on his physical strength and stamina, perfect for him after he recovers physically.

The weapon actually took care of two things at once if we consider that he has no need to risk his life to get the dragon slayer fragment as well, the armour will handle that part. But Karna knew that overly depending upon it is idiotic as this will not solve the risk of death that he will face if he is not careful while using the death demon form.

But right now, he still has the sub mission that Ultear went to get information about to complete the entire mission. There is also the fact that not being able to use his magic has led to a wrench in his plans with the Phantom Lord Guild war that will happen later. Even though Lucy right now won't get targeted by her father, in the cannon Phantom Lord had taken the job because of Lucy's identity and thinking about getting the Heartfilia riches by keeping her hostage. Right now, because of not having access to teleportation, he won't be able to stop their first strike towards the guild.

Karna sighed as he took in his helplessness right now. His magic has not recovered even though 2 hours had passed, so his guildmates will not be able to sense him and would have to manually search the entire island which chances are would take the entire day unless they start from the shore first. As he contemplated this while looking at the sky, suddenly someone blocked his view.

"well, what do we have here need any help" Ultear asked with a mischievous smile.

How can this happen again and this time with such a large amount of demons have disappeared.

Mard Geer was walking around speculating what has happened around him right now. Unlike last time when a single demon of Zeref had disappeared, this time multiple ones had disappeared. Mard Geer would not have been this much tense if it was ordinary demons but Deliora was one of his best demons right after he counts out his main knights also Deliora had the ability to grow stronger like the rest of them as well.

Mard Geer speculated, if it had happened like last time that means the humans have grown way stronger in this method. But that's almost improbable killing a weak demon and killing all of these demons at the same time is not normal.

He then looked at each of the demons and tried to find something that points to some other conclusion.

'wait, aren't all of these demons non recoverable because of being trapped in iced shell. We had decided that since iced shell takes a few centuries to thaw out, we should leave them until they get released since the trapped demons are alive'

Did something happen involving every demon at the same time. Investigations must be done before the conclusion is drawn'

Mard Geer decided and began contacting his lesser members who are good at infiltration.
