Demon Slayer

But directly in front of him was a dark purple translucent screen.

{

[Multiverse System]

Choose One of The Following...

[Fire Breathing]

[Wind Breathing]

[Water Breathing]

[Moon Breathing]

[Mist Breathing]

[Love Breathing]

[Thunder Breathing]

....

}

Rimuru watched the continuous list go on with an amused expression.

"Well this should be fun."

He stifled a chuckle as he realized which world he was reincarnated in.

"The Demon Slayer verse huh?... I knew I'd be transported into a world I'm familiar with, but to think it would be Demon Slayer."

He had to admit he wasn't the biggest fan of it as he believed Demon Slayer was a decent anime carried by its animation, but it was nonetheless entertaining/interesting to watch/read.

Rimuru pondered on the list in front of him, as this was one of the only features of the system.

At the beginning of each world he journeys to, he would be given the choice to choose which power he wishes to learn but he still has to train them in order for it to properly work.

Rimuru's eyes locked onto one certain purple-colored option at the very bottom...

[All Breathing Styles]

Rimuru put his fingers onto his chin as he curiously looked at the option, 'I suppose this wouldn't be the ideal choice for most people because mastering one Breathing Style already takes a long enough time... But for someone like me, it shouldn't be a problem.'

He inched his finger forward without hesitation, as he pressed the [All Breathing Styles] option.

Ding!

A dinging noise resounded in his ears as the purple screen morphed .

{

[Multiverse System]

Confirmed!]

[In order to continue to the next world, the mission must be completed...]

[Mission: Defeat the villain of this world, Muzan Kibutsuji.]

}

Rimuru nodded in understanding, he already discussed the workings of the system with Ciel before, and this seemed to be the best way for him to grow his strength while returning to his world.

'This system only has two features, the first one would be to allow me to choose an ability to use in that specific verse as soon as I first arrive, and the second feature was that I would have the mission of defeating the villain of the verse in order to become stronger and to continue to the next world...' Rimuru inwardly thought.

The purple screen suddenly vanished as if it was never there.

"I probably won't see that screen until the end of this mission." Rimuru muttered as he did some simple stretches with a calm smile.

He was still wearing his True Dragon outfit which comprised of a simple white t-shirt, black pants with golden embroidered, and black armbands.

The information about each breathing style already entered his brain and he wasn't much affected by it, now all he had to do was master them.

He always had a multitude of abilities and believed in quantity over quality when it came to his abilities since it simply depended on how you utilized each one.

[Water Breathing] could be used for defense while [Fire Breathing] could be used for offense, and etc for the other abilities.

But Rimuru suddenly stopped stretching as he raised a brow at the feeling of his body.

He raised his hand before lightly putting it onto his chest.

Badump!

Badump!

He could feel something beating in a rhythm inside his chest.

His eyes widened as he slowly glanced down, and put his hands on his pants while slowly pushing them open.

Rimuru's face lit up as he suddenly broke into a fit of laughter.

"HAHAHAHA!!"

Laughing like a madman, his voice reverberated in the dark cave.

After a few seconds of laughing, he finally calmed down and spoke once again.

"So you've returned little one?" He questioned seemingly to no one as he looked down toward his nether region.

He sighed in delight as he continued to speak to himself.

"It seems I've reincarnated as a human...Even I didn't see that coming." He remarked as he started to walk aimlessly in the dark cave.

He noticed that even though he was a human, his senses seemed enhanced, so then an idea came to him as he stopped walking in the dark cave.

He then softly tapped his foot on the ground.

Tap!

A quiet tapping noise resounded in the cave.

He repeated the action once again but used much more force than before.

Thud!

A much louder sound reverberated through the cave as Rimuru suddenly started walking in a certain direction.

He walked for a few more minutes until finally seeing light.

"Finally the exit... Who knew Sonar Vision would be this useful." He muttered as he raised his hand to protect his eyes from the bright light.

When he tapped the ground, he used his super hearing in order to image the surroundings, allowing him to find the exit.

Eventually, Rimuru inched closer and closer...

Until at last, he put his hand down as he finally exited the cave and felt the bright sun descend onto him with the gentle breeze.

'This reminds me of when I freed Veldora...' Rimuru chuckled as he had a nostalgic smile.

He was standing in front of a narrow stream of water with trees on each side, and he could see the mountains in the distance as the sun's shining figure made the glistening stream of water look even more clear.

The sight was beautiful as he relaxed and watched it.

But soon after he hopped from rock to rock above the stream of water and landed on the solid ground.

'First, let me at least train one form and that'll be.... [Thunder Breathing].'

He didn't need to train a strong foundation of a body because he already had one.

And he wasn't sure how strong his body already was, but he could guess it was beyond that of a normal civilian.

So without waiting, he suddenly bent his body downward as he held his sheathed katana right beside his hip.

Then he inhaled...

Before slowly exhaling as a cool mist came out.

'First Form: Thunder Clap'

In seemingly an instant, he unsheathed his katana as he disappeared with a trail of black lightning behind him.

Zoom!

He appeared a few meters away as he stumbled on his steps nimbly dodging all the trees in his path, before falling onto his back.

He lay on the ground with a satisfied smile, 'Not bad... But far from its full potential and I could barely control it.'

Rimuru quickly got up again and repeated the same form.

'First Form: Thunder Clap'

He zoomed forward with black lightning in his trail, appearing back in his original spot and this time stopping properly.

Nodding in content, 'Again.'

'Again.'

'Again.'

He would repeat the small movement as he zipped back and forth from the same spots continuously, wanting to have full control.

After over a dozen times of doing it, he was breathing slightly heavily.

"*Huff**Huff* I'll need to train my stamina and legs..." He breathed out as he sat down on the grassy ground and relaxed his back on a tree.

Rimuru slowly closed his eyes as he finished his last thought, "A good nap should do the job."

Shutting his eyes, he drifted into sleep, seemingly carefree in the middle of the forest.

****

Just a few minutes later, a silver/white wolf crept out from behind a tree and slowly approached Rimuru's defenseless figure.

The wolf made sure to not make any type of noise as it was only a few feet away.

It opened its mouth, only inches away from Rimuru's neck.

Until it finally lunged!

Wooo!

The wolf suddenly howled as its neck was grasped by a firm yet soft hand.

It fearfully looked down when noticing the blue-haired individual had his eyes wide open with a bone-chilling smile as if he was never asleep.

"Got you."

Rimuru's eerily calm voice made the wolf whimper as he slowly rose with it in his hand.

"What took you so long?... Fake sleeping is pretty hard, there was this butterfly who just wouldn't buzz off!" Rimuru remarked, evidently pleased once he was finally standing with the wolf hanging in his palm.

The wolf seemed to have understood it was tricked as its eyes could only stare in fright toward Rimuru.

Rimuru's lips tugged higher and higher as his grip tightened even more on the wolf's neck.

"Subarashi."

Crack!

A cracking noise could be heard as Rimuru's fist clutched even harder.

Until finally...

Snap!

The wolf's lifeless head fell limp to the side as Rimuru abruptly let go of its body and watched it fall with a soft thud.

His expression soon turned emotionless as the gears in his brain were moving.

'For some reason that didn't feel bad...'

Rimuru arched his brows as he realized something.

He remembered there were two side effects to reincarnating, one of them was your memories being in a confused state, which luckily he didn't have.

But the second one was that your personality would be morphed into a different one.

'So my personalities changed huh?... Or maybe this was my true self?... Hmm, I wonder.' Rimuru shrugged, not really caring either way.

He would simply act how he feels, and at the end of the day, he is still Rimuru Tempest.

Rimuru glanced down toward the lifeless body of the wolf before picking up his katana and unsheathing it.

"Time to eat."

A short time after, it was finally night time and the wolf's skin could be seen cut off as pieces of its body lay bare on the ground.

Besides it could be seen a fire with meat cooking above it.

And Rimuru himself was happily humming a song as he poked the wolf meat with a stick, waiting for it to be tender.

He glanced up at the silver shining moon with an admiring look.

Rimuru's nose twitched as it caught the scent of something ominous.

'Blood?' He questioned inwardly as he looked back down deep into the forest.

Rimuru dropped the stick and picked up his katana, he then started to sprint through the forest.

Even using the thunder breathing as a boost, as black lightning could be seen trailing behind him.

His expression seemed eager...

Luckily he was close to the location as he approached it, before coming to a halt.

Rimuru then noticed one small wooden shed in the middle of a clearing of the forest.

He vanished as he appeared inside the hut.

[1 Minute Before]

Muichiro was wearing a simple blue-striped robe as he woke up to drink some water.

He glanced down toward his sleeping brother on the ground with a sad look.

But he just shook his head as he opened the barrel beside him and used the large spoon to drink from it.

Once he finished, he looked behind himself and noticed his brother's eyes open up.

As soon as he was about to speak, he froze...

"The hell..."

A voice suddenly remarked as Muichiro slowly looked to his left and noticed a strange-looking man appeared inside their shed.

"Just a couple of brats?" The strange man with markings condescendingly questioned.

He was wearing a vest showing his chest with normal black sweatpants that had a wrap on his waist.

The man sneered as it lunged toward Muichiro.

"Muichiro!"

But Muichiro's brother shouted as he launched forward and used his body to protect his brother.

Muichiro watched as his brother's arm flew past him.

"AHHHHH!!" Yuichiro screamed with all his might as he felt a sharp pain coming from the missing stump of his left arm, falling down to his knees.

Muichiro's face was painted in the blood of his brother as he stood there in shock, before quickly recollecting himself.

"Onii-san! Onii-san!" Muichiro continued to call to his hurting brother.

Realizing his brother was in a frenzy, he grabbed him in a protective manner and dragged him toward the corner of the room, holding him tight to his chest.

His heart pounded fervently in fright as he felt a squeezing sensation in his chest.

The demon slowly approached them with a creepy smile as he laughed.

"A couple of poor woodcutters like you are totally useless." The demon-like figure continued.

"Since it doesn't matter whether you exist or not... Your lives are that worthless."

He finally stopped in front of them as he watched them stare up at him in fright.

The demon brought his claw-like fingers back before thrusting it forward as Muichiro watched, seemingly frozen.

The demon's hand approached slowly, before...

Slash!

"Huh?" The demon questioningly muttered as it watched blood spur from its missing right hand.

It glanced back up as it noticed a blue-haired figure standing in front of the kids with their katana drawn.

"Now, now, why don't you fight someone your own size?" Rimuru questioned with a smirk.
