Chapter 38:

Realizing the danger killer B stepped backwards and extended his tenticles. The tenticles were cut cleanly but managed to stall for a valuable split second.

Nero's counter didn't stop however, he lightned the sword using the same gravity manipulating runes. He ignited the same rocket propeller on his forearm to thrust his sword at Killer B.

Killer B could feel himself sh*t rocks as he saw the blade appeare right before his eyes, ready to run through his head and out the other side.

He was luckily saved by A who insantly appeared on Nero's flank and delivered a devistating punch that ragdolled Nero's body across the ocean.

"B use your Kyubi mode and create an opening. I'll end it in one strike." A instructed, in the world, his teamwork with B was perfect. B's training literally consited of combo moves and tactics against any threat the duo might face. Hence why they always stuck together.

B nodded in understanding, he immidiatly entered his version 2 transformation. His flesh was corroded by the strong chakra and his shape deformed to create a silhouette of an ox with 8 tails. He turned red and black all over.

"Good, this is what I wanted!!" Nero proclaimed, he activated chakra absorbing seals to asborb the remanent tailed beast chakra eminated by B.

He also encased himself in his full Asura armor. His armor turned bulky, the rocket propellers on his calfs and forearms increased in size and power output. Four extra appendages sprouted from his back. They were shaped like blasters and could shoot concentrated beams of dark chakra. He had used his augmenting abilities to the fullest to achieve the most destrctive armor he could produce with the resources at hand.

Although to confess:even with this Nero knew he couldn't defeat a tailed beast. The matter of energy, and the durabilty of his resources simply meant his armor could only operate for so long before falling apart. The problem wasn't energy, he had that in spades. The problem lay in the fact that he lacked durable materials to build with, if he overcharged his armor it wouod fall apart. That's why his armor was created with a battle of attrition in mind, if he couldn't kill them with power, he'd have to tire them out and then kill them.

B lunged towards Nero at a blinding speed, his roar shaking the ocean and each of his step creating pillers of water as it splashed about. He spewed an incomplete tailed beast bomb and shot the beam towards Nero.

Nero fed 5 million points into his shield, that was a wise choice since the shield managed to hold out against the attack, although more than 80% of the shield was gone.

A glowing fist came on Nero's side, Nero slashed towards the shield, increasing the gravity on the blade to more than 50 times the gravity of the planet. The two attacks clashed, a shockwave blew the waters and created waves that crashed brutally against the ships with neither wining out. B's skin was just too hard and Nero's gravity amplified attack could keep B at bay.

B flung his tail towards Nero's side, the hit commected and flung Nero away. Nero oriented himself with the help of his suit. He slowed down his speed and created a vertical platform in the air.

Nero used the rockets on his calf to propel him towards B who was about to follow up with an attack, the two clashed once more. B using his tails to guard his face, while Nero hecked and slashed towards him.

B threw a nasty backhand aimed at throwing Nero towards A's posision. In a strange turn of events, Nero turned as light as paper and fkuidly evaded the attack using the air generated by the palm strike to glide out of it's range.

He proppelled himself towards B and increased thr gravity on the blade ti its maximum, a 100 g's of force hit the tailed beast and severed one of it's chakra tails.

B retreated and shot a beam towards Nero to stall him. Nero evaded the attack, he created platforms and got closer in a zig zag motion towarda B.

Seeing this, B flared his chakra once again and entered the final stage of his transformation. He landed on the water and used his monsterous strength to punch the disoriented Nero into the water.

A flurry of mini tailed beast bombs followed right behind. After more than 10 seconds of continuously attacking. B stopped and looked at the surface of the water.

Artificial wirpools had been created by his barrage and Nero's form was nowhere to be seen, B confidsntly snorted believeing to have landed a critical hit. B spread out his senses under the insistance of his tennent.

Nero's form flew out of the water, the once folded appendages unfurdled and he aimed a thin and precise beam of dark chakra. The appandag also ripped apart after the blow having compressed a powerful beam to more than it's structure could handle.

B screamed in pain, three of his tails having been sliced cleanly. He'd recover but this was the first time the eight tails and B had suffered such pain.

While B was thrashing about, Nero swiftly approached the cut off tails and stored them. Having gotten what he came here for, Nero didn't attack further.

B was forced to transform back, A who was standing by this whole time approached his brother. Who seemer fine besides losing a lot of his chakra. A was ashamed, during this entire exchange he was just a stand-by, he couldn't find any openings to exploit and if he ran in he knew he would've gotten in the way. But he also kept his eyes open and noticed something

During the fight.A happened to notice a strange square platform that shimmered into and out of existence that their attacker used for mobility. He had upon a terrible realization
