Chapter 18: Blow It All Up
The hybrid creature howled as it thrashed, pushing against the gravity field Hikari had created. Sans continued to use his bone weapons to restrain it, but it was clear this was no ordinary beast. Its eyes glowed with a strange intelligence—an unnatural combination of human and animal. As the creature lunged forward, snapping its massive jaws, Gojo barely managed to sidestep, his Limitless technique warping space around him with ease.
Rick's fingers flew over his device as he worked furiously. "This is taking way too long," he muttered under his breath, watching the creature struggle against their combined efforts.
"Rick, do you have a plan here or are we just throwing punches at some mutated freaks?" Gojo called, barely dodging a swipe from the creature's claws.
Rick, never one to miss an opportunity for flair, looked up and flashed a grin. "Oh, I've got a plan, all right. It's called: Blow. It. All. Up."
"What?" Sans said, raising an eyebrow. "Is that your plan? Just explode everything?"
Rick grinned wider. "Yup. The park, the facility, everything. There's no point in sticking around with this mess. We're leaving. But not before I give this whole place a parting gift."
Gojo's expression shifted from amusement to surprise. "Wait, you're not serious? You're actually going to blow this place up?"
Hikari, his coin still spinning in the air, gave a lazy shrug. "At this point? Yeah, sounds like the only reasonable solution. I mean, we're here, we've already dealt with giant lizards and freaky experiments... why not just finish it?"
Rick pulled out a detonator, a smug look on his face. "Exactly. The signal's been traced, the experiments are getting out of hand, and there's too much classified garbage down here for anyone to clean up. So why not hit the reset button?"
Sans let out a sigh. "Always gotta go for the dramatic exit. Fine, let's see how this one turns out."
With a few presses of the button, Rick activated a series of countdowns on various devices spread throughout the facility. The whole lab began to hum and rumble ominously, as if it too realized what was coming.
"This is going to be fun," Rick said, looking over his shoulder. "Let's go, everyone. I'm not sticking around for the fireworks."

The Escape
Without waiting for a response, Rick led the team back through the facility, the walls shaking with every passing second. The hybrid creature, still struggling in Hikari's gravity, let out one last, monstrous roar before collapsing under the weight of the curse. Sans gave it a parting wave. "See ya never."
"Can you even handle this explosion?" Gojo asked, raising an eyebrow as he followed Rick through the winding corridors.
Rick didn't break his stride. "Of course. I've got a shield system built into the portal ship. Don't worry about it, Gojo. I've been blowing things up for years and I'm still here."
As they emerged from the underground facility, the sky outside seemed impossibly bright, a stark contrast to the darkness they had just left. The park, with its towering structures and deadly creatures, was now a distant memory.
Rick pushed a button on his portal gun, and a swirling vortex opened up in front of them.
"After you," Rick said with a sly grin.

The Big Boom
The team didn't need to be told twice. They jumped into the portal, one by one, as the ground beneath them continued to shake with growing intensity. They could hear the faint sound of alarms blaring behind them, followed by the hum of energy charging up in the facility.
As they sailed through the portal, Rick pushed one final button. The screen inside the portal ship showed the last countdown of the detonator:
T-Minus 10 Seconds
Sans leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. "This is gonna be epic. I mean, we're not even sticking around for the explosion. How cool is that?"
Gojo was already reclining, his hands behind his head. "I'll admit, this is a good way to wrap up the day. The explosion's gonna be huge, and we don't even have to fight any more monsters."
Hikari tossed his coin again, though his gaze was serious. "I don't know. Something about this feels... like we're about to leave a bigger mess behind."
"Don't worry, Hikari," Rick said with a wink. "I've got it all figured out. Let's just sit back, relax, and let the fireworks do the work."
The countdown reached zero, and in that moment, the team felt the sheer power of Rick's device. The portal ship jolted as a massive explosion ripped through the sky behind them, the sound of the blast echoing through the fabric of the multiverse.
The island of Isla Nublar—Jurassic Park—was no more.
A moment later, they found themselves back in the safety of Rick's lab, the portal closing behind them with a soft whoosh. The silence that followed was almost deafening.

Aftermath
The team sat in stunned silence for a moment. The remnants of the explosion still reverberated in their minds, and the reality of what they'd just done began to set in.
"So," Gojo said, breaking the silence. "You really just blew up a whole island. And a genetic research facility."
Rick grinned, leaning back in his chair. "Yep. And now we don't have to worry about any more dinosaur hybrids or secret military projects. We've made the world a little safer."
Sans chuckled. "Well, that's one way to do it. You know, Rick, I've been around the block a few times, but I'll admit—this was a new one."
Hikari, still tossing his coin, glanced over at Rick. "That was... a lot. Are we really just walking away from this?"
Rick sighed. "The whole thing was a disaster. There's no way we were ever going to clean it up properly. Besides, I don't want to stick around to see what else they were hiding in that place. Sometimes, the only solution is to hit the big red button and walk away."
Gojo nodded, a satisfied grin on his face. "Fair enough. I think we've earned a break. But next time, let's try not to leave that big of a mess behind."
Rick raised his glass. "Deal. But for now, let's just enjoy the fact that we got rid of another problem. Cheers."
The team clinked glasses, the explosion of Jurassic Park now a distant memory, as they sat back and enjoyed the brief peace that followed.
For once, things were quiet. But as always, it wouldn't last long.
