Chapter 16.

Chapter 16: Jurassic Battle

It was supposed to be a relaxing break. After the chaos of stopping kaiju invasions and dimensional rifts, Rick had an idea: "Let's take a little vacation, just to catch our breath. No villains, no apocalyptic scenarios—just a good old-fashioned adventure. How about Jurassic Park?"

The idea seemed too good to pass up. Even Sans, who had seen his fair share of insanity, couldn't help but chuckle at the thought. "I mean, dinosaurs... how bad could it be, right?"

"Exactly!" Rick said, grinning. "No kaiju, no giant robots, no supervillains. Just a few dinosaurs. Relaxing, right?"

The team minus Morty (who had opted to stay behind in the safety of Rick's lab, dubious about his grandfather's plans) piled into the portal ship. Clara, Hikari, Gojo, and Sans joined Rick as they rocketed through the multiverse, heading to Isla Nublar—home of the famous Jurassic Park.

Arrival at Jurassic Park

When they arrived, the island looked exactly as Rick had described: lush, vibrant, and seemingly peaceful. A gentle breeze swayed the palm trees, and in the distance, they could hear the call of exotic birds. It felt almost like an idyllic tropical retreat.

Hikari stretched, the golden coin still spinning between his fingers. "I have to admit, this place is… really something. Not bad for a vacation."

Gojo cracked his neck, looking around with a grin. "I don't know, I'm feeling pretty chill. Dinosaurs? Shouldn't be too hard to handle. Not when I'm around."

Rick pulled out a small device, scanning the area. "There's a few dinosaur-themed 'attractions' on the other side of the park, but the real fun's in the control center. I've been here before—let's go check it out."

Sans gave a lazy shrug. "Sounds like trouble. You sure you're not planning on messing with the park's systems, Rick?"

Rick didn't answer immediately. Instead, he gave a sly smile. "What's the point of visiting a dinosaur theme park if you don't mess with the systems? Besides, the security here is a joke. They just let the dinosaurs roam around. It's practically begging for a little... adventure."

The Dinosaur Attack

The team made their way to the park's main control center. They'd barely made it to the gates when the ground shook violently. A distant roar echoed through the trees.

Gojo's eyes gleamed. "That's not good. That's not good at all."

Suddenly, a towering silhouette appeared on the horizon—a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex, its jaws open and teeth gleaming in the sunlight. It was followed by a herd of velociraptors, their sharp claws clicking against the ground as they sprinted forward, hungry and fast.

"Okay, that's definitely not part of the plan," Rick muttered, his expression shifting from amusement to alarm. "I didn't turn the systems off—someone else must've. And now, we've got angry dinosaurs on the loose."

"Guess this is a bit more intense than I thought," Hikari said, tossing his coin in the air once more. "Time to gamble."

Gojo laughed, stretching out his limbs. "Alright. Time to have a little fun."

The T-Rex roared again, its gigantic form barreling toward them at full speed. The team immediately sprang into action.

Gojo moved first, his Limitless technique manifesting in an instant. The space around him warped, and he teleported right in front of the T-Rex, causing the giant creature to slam into an invisible wall of energy. The T-Rex staggered backward, roaring in confusion.

"Stay still," Gojo said, his grin wide as the T-Rex tried to move forward again but found itself trapped by his technique. "This is going to be fun."

Sans, meanwhile, had already teleported to the side and summoned several bone spears, hurling them toward the velociraptors charging in from behind. The bone projectiles pierced their skulls, causing a few of the smaller dinosaurs to fall lifelessly to the ground. "I hope they have good insurance here," Sans muttered, still leaning casually as if it was just another Tuesday for him.

Hikari, not one to be left behind, activated his Domain Expansion: Idle Death Gamble. His cursed energy flared, sending a shockwave through the area. His golden coin spun furiously between his fingers before he flicked it toward the ground.

The ground beneath the velociraptors shifted violently as the energy surged through the park, warping space around them. Several of the raptors, unable to react in time, were thrown into the air, their bodies smashing into the trees with force.

Rick, ever the opportunist, had already pulled out a gadget from his lab coat and pressed a button. A loud hum filled the air, and a massive wall of electric fencing descended from the trees, trapping the remaining dinosaurs in a confined area.

"That should buy us some time," Rick said, his hands already moving over his device. "But I'll need to remap the park's security system. Can't trust anyone else to do it right."

---

Unexpected Trouble

As the team battled and contained the dinosaurs, it became clear that the situation was spiraling out of control. The T-Rex, still locked in Gojo's barrier, was relentless in its attempts to break free. Meanwhile, a pack of raptors had figured out how to climb the electric fence and were making their way toward the control center.

Hikari flicked his coin into the air again, the golden disc glowing with intense cursed energy. "Alright, let's wrap this up." With another casual flick of his wrist, his energy surged, and the dinosaurs around them were briefly stunned, their movements slowed as they were trapped in a gravity-altering field.

Sans, using the moment of stillness, teleported into the raptor pack and summoned multiple bone traps that wrapped around their limbs, rendering them immobile.

Rick was still working on the control panel, fingers flying across the keys. "Come on… come on... Got it!" The electric fence flickered as the system rebooted. The fence expanded, doubling its reach and sending another shockwave through the area, knocking the raptors back as they were zapped.

But the T-Rex was still a problem.

The T-Rex Showdown

Gojo, still standing before the massive creature, teleported again—this time landing directly atop the T-Rex's head. The dinosaur bellowed, but Gojo was already moving. He placed his hand on its skull, his energy flaring as he created a force field around its brain.

"This should keep you occupied for a while," Gojo muttered, his tone casual as he overloaded the T-Rex's senses, trapping the beast in a haze of disorientation.

But the T-Rex wasn't the only threat. From the shadows of the jungle, something else emerged—an even larger, scarier creature. A Spinosaurus.

Rick looked up, his face falling. "I should have known. We're about to get really screwed."

The Spinosaurus charged, and for a brief moment, it seemed like the team might be overwhelmed. But Hikari stepped forward, his coin still glowing. "I'm feeling lucky today."

With a dramatic flick of his wrist, Hikari called forth another burst of energy, causing the ground to ripple and twist. The Spinosaurus froze mid-charge, unable to move. It stumbled and fell, trapped in a gravitational force that left it immobilized for just long enough.

Gojo, standing on the T-Rex's back, gave a wide grin. "Now that's what I call teamwork. Alright, Rick, finish it."

Rick, who had been watching the events unfold, finally keyed in the final command on his device. The park's security system activated one last time, pulling the Spinosaurus and the T-Rex into a containment area. The electric fencing shimmered, sealing them in a reinforced pen.

"We're good," Rick said, wiping his brow. "For now. I've got the park's systems back under control. They won't be able to escape again."

Relaxing... For Now

The team gathered in the control center, exhausted but triumphant. Sans took a deep breath, leaning back in his chair. "Well, that was something. Can we go back to the beach now? Maybe without the giant lizards?"

Gojo laughed, still riding the high of the battle. "I could get used to this. Dinosaurs, giant reptiles, and chaos. What's next?"

Rick, typing furiously on his tablet, finally looked up. "Next? I think it's time we really get some rest. No more insane challenges. We've earned it."

But even as Rick said this, a faint glow from his device caught his attention. A new alert. Something was stirring again, something far worse than dinosaurs.

Rick sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Alright, fine. We'll take a tiny break. But I'm not going to be fooled again."

Sans grinned. "You say that now. I've got a feeling this vacation is about to get a whole lot more interesting."
