Chapter 25: Sogiita Gunha

(Dante POV)

"It's finally time, huh?" I muttered, gazing toward the Incarnation of Guts.

Earlier, I had woken up to find a few missed calls from Komoe-chan and Frenda, which I chose to ignore.

With nothing left to do, I teleported outside the family restaurant where I first encountered the blond minx.

The meals served there suited my taste—simple, not overly fancy, and with a homey feel.

Not to mention, the atmosphere was great too.

After satisfying myself with a hearty meal, my phone vibrated with a message detailing the time and location of my fight with Sogiita.

'3 P.M. in an underground laboratory near the Windowless Building. Mmm, it looks like Aleister is interested in the fight too, or something I don't know about is going on.' With a shrug, I decided to ignore it, planning to ditch everything after inviting Sogiita and only return after obtaining a strong stealth ability.

Afterward, I spent some time messaging Komoe-chan and Frenda, before deciding to stroll around the Commercial District to pass the time.

When the clock struck at 2:30, I teleported outside the Windowless Building and made my way to the location.

Now, standing on the opposite side of the square-kilometer arena, the fight that marks the end of this journey is about to begin.

"Yo! You're the new Number 1, yeah? I have to say, you are emitting quite the impressive guts, huh?" Sogiita said, locking eyes with me with a smile on his face as he assumed a fighting stance.

"Then it is only appropriate to show you the full capacity of my guts." In a flash, Sogiita dashed at supersonic speed, appearing in front of me and smashing his fist into the air.

"Amazing Punch!" he shouted, his voice filled with determination.

An explosion of pressure then erupted, blowing away and destroying the surroundings but ultimately did nothing to me as it simply phased by.

"Heh, looks like you don't have enough guts?" I taunted as the edge of my Irises turned red.

'Great Sage don't trash Sogiita easily. I want to confirm something.' I commanded as I remembered a theory I had read on the To Aru fandom's page.

Teleporting behind Sogiita, my fingers stretched out like a spear, enveloped in the Space element, as they lunged toward his waist, intending to pierce it.

As if sensing the danger, Sogiita immediately kicked off the ground and launched himself upward, successfully evading the strike.

'Damn, does this guy have an ability like spider sense too?' I cursed inwardly.

Floating into the air using continuous kicks a few meters above me, Sogiita's arms began emitting a bluish hue, accompanied by the crackling sound of electricity.

"Take this! Electric Ultra Hyper Giga Dual Amazing Punch!" Sogiita shouted, his voice amplified to its full power turning into a soundwave attack.

With an aggressive stomp on the air and a punch in the air in my direction with both fists, an explosion of pressure, lightning, and sound waves came rushing toward me like a tidal wave.

'Great Sage, give me control of my mouth.' I willed, as the attack simply phased through me.

"Hey, hey, hey, your guts are still lacking. Attacks like those won't affect me, you know? By utilizing advanced Space Manipulation, my body is enveloped in a distortion of space, effectively placing it within another dimension. This renders conventional attacks futile. You'll need far greater guts to penetrate this spatial barrier and hit me," I shouted toward Sogiita.

While some people might say it is stupid to announce how my ability works, all I can say is I agree with them.

I am not in jujutsu kaisen with a binding vow to explain my shit.

But there is a reason why I announced mine.

First, I am leaving this place, so who cares?

Second, when I return, I should be a lot stronger than I am now, so giving Aleister outdated information is a good way to make it seem they already understood me but nuh uh.

Last, the theory I was talking about.

About how Sogiita could be the strongest and most busted Esper there is.

"I see, so that's how it is. Don't worry, I still have a lot of guts I could pull out." With a shonen-like semi-shouting response, Sogiita dashed as his fist was being coated by translucent light.

'Ow shit. It seems it truly is the case. Damn, it seems I lucked out in picking him as a member.' With such thoughts in mind, Great Sage summoned the Spear to intercept the incoming punch.

With the sound of metal clashing that shouldn't have been possible as the spear was fully covered by my barrier, Sogiita's fist and the tip of the spear collided sending my body flying backward.

With a backward flip and using the concept of Gojo's infinity to divide the distance on my back, Great Sage stopped the momentum caused by the punch.

 Spitting out a little bit of blood, I said, "Your guts, I received it. But it is time to end this."

'Fuck that hurt!' I screamed inwardly.

'My body can't withstand a few more of those impacts. I know Sogiita's body is super strong but holly cow.' As I pretended to be a cool guy, sadly, my body was already in a bad shape from just one impact.

'Fuck, I'll make sure to enter a world where I can fix my body problem in the next world. Great Sage, how is the analysis of the Esper-powered domain expansion?' I asked.

'Whew, aight. Time to flex and look cool.' Teleporting 50 meters away from Soggita, I stood proudly while lifting my arms and crossing my fingers like how Gojo does.

"Let's end this in one final attack shall we?" I called out to Soggita.

"Yosh! Sure, if that is what you want. I'll show you my full powered guts!" Using the same posture as before, Sogita started radiating red, blue, yellow, and white auras.

"Domain Expansion, Compressed World."

"Ultra Eccentric Great Giga Hyper Amazing Punch!"
