Chapter five One year of torture
For the whole year she had been living in the house, it has been full of torture, she can't even remember how many times she has gone to the hospital because of sickness. The Davis family has been giving her headache, if not burnt, maybe pushed or hit on the head, or attacked in the streets. If a week went by without her suffering she would count that week a blessing.
She remembered one day Anna made her stay in the rain for one whole hour just waiting for her. She had given all the shopping bags to Sarah and said she is going to buy an umbrella, so that they can cover themselves while waiting for Damian to arrive, but she never came back. She hailed a taxi, dropped the bags on the floor and got in, she left without care, when she went back to the house, before she opened the door, she heard two voices talking and laughing.
"You know, she is so stupid, I left her with the bags and told Damian to meet me on the other side, then I lied to her that I was going to buy an umbrella! The bitch just stood in the rain waiting, the scene was so hilarious! I wish I had recorded it."
"Oh, that slut deserved it, she knows my brother has a girlfriend but she is still clinging to him!" She guessed that was Maddie.
Sarah opened the door and walked in the house, she wondered if the people in this place were crazy, when did she cling to Damian? In fact she hopes this so called contract could end soon.
"Oh Sarah, you are back!? I am sorry, I tried to tell Damian where you were but he said he was in a hurry and my phone battery died so I couldn't make any calls. I hope you don't mind."
"I don't mind at all." Sarah replied indifferently.
Anna observed Sarah for a while and saw that she was heading upstairs without saying anything. "Ummm... Sarah, what about the bags?"
"Oh, I truly apologize, see that stupid taxi driver said he can't carry wet clothes, and I was just an exception. I hope you do not mind" Sarah said indifferently and headed upstairs not waiting for Anna to answer her.
Anna was left downstairs gritting her teeth and cursing ferociously, "That bitch really knows some tricks, well let's see who Damian will support."
When Damian arrived, the first thing was the flow of complaints. "Babe, the money you gave me for shopping was wasted by Sarah, I bought clothes and she threw them away and when I tried to stop her she slapped my face."
"Brother, I am telling you that woman is a snake, she can bite you when you least expected. Who knew the weak girl can hit someone, especially your girlfriend!" Maddie decided to add more salt, and there was flow of complaints that was given to him.
"We are guests, yet she could not even serve us!"
"But babe, I really feel bad, that is the money that you have worked hard for and she threw it away as if it wasn't valuable."
Sarah was coming downstairs to drink some water when she heard the complaints. Now that she was given some information about her family she didn't care at all, she won't let anyone bully her, not in this world and not ever. She hates every one in this house. She can't believe that old fool of a father sold her, before, she had her suspicions but never dwelled on it. She was thankful to her creator for giving her the mind she has now.
"Sarah, come here." Damian ordered.
Sarah did not care at all, she was dizzy and she felt like she will have a high fever any time soon which made her regret why she never carried her medicine kit when she was coming to this house. She walked slowly to the kitchen, not caring at all. This one year and the years in her fake father's villa, she hasn't lived a peaceful life, but she was never the one to give up. She just hates schemes, especially when she is the victim.
"Babe, you see, she is really rude, she doesn't even care whether you are calling her. I wonder if she is the real Sarah I knew when we were in school."
