Khaos Brigade Last Effort

It looks like they are getting desperate. The Khaos Brigade is getting desperate. Since the time they merge from the shadow and announce their presence to the world, they never get a win in every fight they do, from the battle between the Vongola family and the Hero faction to the siege of Faysummit.

Now in an attempt to get Ophis back from the Faysummit, they bring the big gun, Samael, also known as the Dragon Eater, The Poison of God, and The Evil Intention of God. I don't really know the reason why Rizevim needed Ophis, but I have some idea why he needed her. The first thing that comes to mind is breaking the seal of the DxD.

I have a theory that breaking that seal needs a godly amount of energy, and the only one that can help him achieve it is throughout Ophis or Great Red. He cannot do it with Great Red as he will immediately get killed on sight when Great Red sees him, so the only one that can help him achieve his goal is Ophis.

I feel that the Khaos Brigade will show Ophis that they have the weapon that can defeat Great Red, but in reality, Rizevim only wants to extract Ophis's power using the power of Samael.

Why tell you this, you ask? Well, the Khaos Brigade is coming to Faysummit once again, and this time, they bring all of their armies with them.

I look toward the sky and see a massive army covering the sun above Faysummit. There are many kinds of races among the army of the Khaos Brigade. Devil, Fallen Angel, Human, and Dragon but mostly dragon.

It looks like there are still many members of the Khaos Brigade other than the remnant of the previous one.

"Fire!"

After I say that word, the Melammu Dingir fired its beam of destruction toward the army above Faysummit. However, before it could touch any of the people of Khaos Brigade, a massive portal appeared behind them, and from it became a mist of darkness that covered all of them, creating a massive sphere of darkness.

A second later, a massive eastern dragon gets out from the same portal that creates the sphere of darkness in the air.

"Apophis"

I look at Amaterasu, who says it out loud.

"How do you know it's him?"

"Of course, I know. That darkness is the only darkness that can swallow the sun."

"I see."

Yeah, I read it in one of the books inside my library. The book says that when Apophis and Ra, the God of the Sun, fight, there is no sunshine in the world for three days. That is the reason why Apophis has the title of Eclipse Dragon.

"Let me handle him."

"Heh, let me help you in this fight, Amaterasu."

I look at Lugh, who summoned his spear in hand, and Amaterasu summoning her mirror. I guess they really want revenge when Apophis makes the sun not shine. They are both the God and Goddess of the sun, and I guess they are salty when the sun does not shine.

Without getting into an argument with each other, both Lugh and Amaterasu suddenly appear above Apophis and blast him with their attack. That blast is strong enough to make Apophis thrown away from his current location and cancel the barrier he created to protect the Khaos Brigade.

"Now! Continue to fire the cannon!"

When the barrier is gone, my men continue firing the cannon toward the enemy. One by one, the enemy began to fall. The high ranking members of the Khaos Brigade try to make a barrier to protect themselves, and they are successful in doing so but not the other.

When I see the Khaos Brigade begin charging at us, I summon the Blade Blacksmith and also Lily to my side.

"Let's do this."

*3rd POV*

It was chaos in the Faysummit. The fight against the army of the alliance between the Vongola family, the Celtic Faction, and the Shinto faction against the Khaos Brigade.

The fight is happening just outside the barrier of the Faysummit. Among the fighters, there is a rather familiar person. He is wielding a spear that releases a large amount of holy energy. He is a formidable fighter that can fight against multiple opponents at the same time.

This man is Cao Cao, the holder of the True Longinus.

Currently, he is fighting against a group of humans and youkai that come at him. However, while they have the number, Cao Cao is not the opponent they can beat with just a number.

"Is this all you guys can do? I'm disappointed."

"Then let me be your opponent."

Cao Cao just in time to block an incoming attack coming from his right. When he looks to his right, he sees a beautiful woman wearing tight body armor and holding a spear in her hand. She has ruby-like eyes and purple hair that flow freely.

"Cao Cao, the descendant of Cao Cao the Warlord."

"Scáthach, The Queen of Land of Shadow"

Without saying any more words, both of the spear users begin to clash.

Cao Cao started his attack with a flurry of thrust attacks. However, his opponent cannot be defeated with only speed as she dodges and blocks all his attacks flawlessly. Not only that, but she also does her own counter-attack.

Parry. Thrust. Slash. Dodge. Block.

They continue to do their dance of death for five minutes non-stop. For five minutes, they continue to attack each other while also blocking all the incoming attacks.

After five minutes of intense close combat fighting, Cao Cao kicked Scáthach away and created some distance.

"You are really the best spear user in the world. It is unfortunate seeing you accept immortality from the Gods and abandon your humanity."

"..."

"Balance Breaker: Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin"

When Cao Cao says these words, a seven sphere of light appears around him. They have the same size, and they are floating there on their own.

"Let's end this fight."

Without waiting for his opponent's answer, Cao Cao charged at Scáthach with his spear in hand. When he is close enough to her, he does a quick thrust where Scáthach blocks his attack. However, instead of frowning, Cao Cao showed a grin on his face.

While blocking all Cao Cao attacks, a shadow appears behind her and begins to attack her as well.

*Thunk!*

Scáthach kicks Cao Cao away from her and blocks the incoming attack from her back. Seeing the situation, Scáthach also decided to get serious. She summoned another Gae Bolg. This is the other Gae Bolg she created after she gave her Gae Bolg to Cu Chulainn.

With both weapons in her hand, she began to fight all the creatures Cao Cao summoned to fight her, and she was also able to block all the surprise attacks Cao Cao tried.

When Cao Cao sees that even with the help of the creature he summoned through his balance breaker is not enough to defeat Scáthach, he activates his balance breaker's ability.

"Itsutei Ratana!"

This ability of his balance breaker should be able to seal the unique power of any woman he faced in battle. However, to his surprise, Itsutei Ratana did not work on Scáthach as she continued destroying all his creatures.

Cao Cao began to think about the strategy he needed to defeat his opponent. He knows that using brute force will never be worth it as right now, his hand is already numb because of blocking the incoming attack from Scáthach. Cao Cao also knows that he will never win against her in the spear battle as he doesn't have the same experience as Scáthach.

*Thunk!*

Cao Cao snapped from his thought just in time to block the Scáthach attack coming at him. When he saw the weapon in Scáthach, and he knew the way to win against her.

"Chatsuka Ratana!"

When the True Longinus tip touches the Scáthach spear, he can hear a crack coming from the said spear. He knows that his plan is working. He needs to get the tip of True Longinus to touch Scáthach's weapon, and it will be gone.

"So that is your plan, huh? To destroy my weapon?"

"It's already too late. Just one more touch, and your weapon will be gone."

"Then let me use its true power first."

Scáthach jumped away from Cao Cao and pointed her spear at him before saying.

"Soar, Gae Bolg!"

A second later, Gae Bolg began to soar toward Cao Cao, intending to pierce his heart. When he saw the spear fly at him, he activated another skill of his balance breaker.

"Mala Ratana!"

This is the ability of his sacred gear that let him redirect any attack that comes toward him. When Gae Bolg hit the orb that protected Cao Cao, the orbs began to redirect the attack toward Scáthach. However….

*BZT*

As if reality rewrites itself, there is a hole inside his body while Scáthach has the familiar spear in her hand before she throws it at him.

"How?"

"This is the special ability of Gae Bolg. Your heart has already been pierced before the spear even thrust. The heart seeking spear that will always reach its target."

"I see. Look like I'm lost once again."

Just like that, the last member of the Hero faction is dead.
