She set up properly, and wore a remorseful look. "I have come to realize what I had done, and I wanted to apologize to her. I am sorry."
"Apologize to her?" he questioned. He doubted her intentions. Someone like her, who didn't think twice before hurting her best friend repeatedly wouldn't just repent overnight. It was impossible.
Beth nodded eagerly, "I know it might seem unbelievable, but it's true. I feel remorseful for what I had done to Mia. We grew up together, and have been best friend." She tried to shed some tears, but no tears came out of her eyes.
Declan kept quiet, staring at her as she continued.
"It was after I had spent enough time alone without her that I realized I was wrong. No man is worth what I did. Sorry." She raised her hand up. "I know you are also a man, but what I am saying is no man was worth me destroying the kind of relationship I had with Mia."
