Explaining

"Dark Moon. I will now tell you something that is very important, not just to me, but to the whole universe. I'm not really who you believe me to be."

That sentence shocked Dark Moon and woke her from her delusions.

While Guihu Luixing waited for Dark Moon to calm down a bit, he was also choosing the words he was going to use.

"You see, this universe's location was found out by the habitants of another universe, one much more developed and stronger than ours. The habitats of this universe wouldn't stand a chance, they would have been slayed and enslaved by the invaders, killing the consciousness of the universe, the Heavens themselves."

Dark Moon clearly wasn't expecting these words. She had a shocked expression and felt like Guihu Luixing was telling her a fairy tale. His expression was, however, dead serious. She rarely saw such expression on his face.

Guihu Luixing continued "In an act of desperate self defense, the Heavens of our universe, in order to avoid being consumed by the consciousness of the invading universe, chose to undergo a Class-up Trial. If it succeeded, the universe would be strengthened, allowing it's population to grow stronger, giving them a fighting chance against the invaders. If failed, however, life in the universe would be wiped out, killing the universe in the process."

The scale of the story surpassed Dark Moon's expectations. She seemed to be struggling with understanding it, so Guihu Luixing decided to wait a bit so she could sort her thoughts.

After some she looked him in the eyes with a questioning gaze.

"I know this may sound crazy and unbelievable, but please, listen till the end okay?" he asked her.

Dark Moon fixed her position and sit straight. She now was serious and not in her usual mood.

"So, the Class-up Trial is something that tests the whole universe in multiple aspects. Culture development, habitants personal strength, habitants moral, the universe capability to nurture cultivators and many other aspects."

Dark Moon nodded her head, signaling that she understood.

"The trial this universe is going through is a Trial Beast. Somewhere in a dark corner of this universe is an egg. In a few million years, from this egg, a calamitous beast will be born. The beast will be strong and cunning. It will not only use it's strength to dominate, but it will also use the habitants' greed and other dark emotions to put them against one another."

Guihu Luixing than made an exhausted expression as if he already lost the game "If the whole universe is able to gather as one, the Trial Beast will simply have no chance. As a newborn that is. As time passes, the beast will grow stronger and stronger, and defeating it will become harder and harder."

Dark Moon understood that. It wouldn't really be a Trial if it was as simple as killing a chicken.

"That's where I come in." said Guihu Luixing.

When Dark Moon heard that, her body shook a bit. 'What could be his role in all of this?' she thought.

"I am the Fate's Agent. If the Trial Beast is the test givers chess piece in the Trial, I'm the universe's piece in overcoming it. I am not the one responsible for defeating the Trial 3, in fact, it seems that even if attack it, I won't be able to harm it." Guihu Luixing shook his head with resignation.

Dark Moon became confused. According to him, he's the Heaven's tactical piece, but he's not able to deal damage to the enemy's piece?

"Now, now. I know what you're thinking. I also think that's kinda odd, but listen. My soul, instead of being one naturally formed, it's was specifically made by the heavens in order to participate in the trial. Because of that, if I managed to defeat the Trial Beast, it wouldn't be a true test to the universe."

'That makes sense.' Dark Moon nodded.

"But while I can't defeat the Trial Beast directly, using indirect means are just fine. I am to raise champions who are to fight the Trial Beast together. To do so, I was given a special power. It is called system and it's function is to aid me in my mission by assigning tasks, that if completed successfully, I'll be rewarded with prizes that will definitely help me, but if I fail, I might face serious consequences, even dying."

Heari6the word 'dying', Dark Moon became very worried for Guihu Luixing.

"My job is basically find the most people that are fated to have a great destiny, protect and guide them in order to make them a soldier in the war against the Trial Beast. I'll also create an organization that's responsible for tracking these individuals, tracking the Trial Beast and fighting against the Trial Beats's forces."

Guihu Luixing then took a deep breath and explained why they were having this conversation.

"Dark Moon. I trust you and I know you won't betray me. But I need you to understand that I have a mission, a purpose, one I hate to fulfill. In doing so, I will be almost constantly exposed to danger. If you are to accompany me in a Soul Link Contract or a Retainer Contract, you'll also be exposed to that danger, and you may die because of that. I want you to think if you want to accompany me even then."

Dark Moon was about to jump on Guihu Luixing, but he lifted his hand and stopped her.

"Dark Moon, please. This is life changing choice, both for you and for me. I don't want you to decide it on an emotion or in a rush. Please think carefully. We will have to get stronger while being low-key and untraceable. I am currently planning to disappear in a few years, without telling anyone else. This means without telling our parents or friends, making them worry and causing them grief. Think carefully if you can do all that."

Dark Moon understood his seriousness. She didn't believe he was crazy or anything like that, but his story was just too unbelievable. His words about disappearing without telling anyone was another impact for her. She was used to be around her family, but if she followed him, it was likely she would be unable to see them ever again.

From the ceiling cane Serana.

"Is this story true? I feel that story is too unbelievable." she asked.

"Of course it is." said Guihu Luixing rolling his eyes "Do I need to lie to either of you? If I wanted to hide it, there's no way you would find it out, and if I wanted to fool you, there are many other, more believable stories I could make."

Serana thought a bit and then asked with a smile "Then what you promised me is really true?! Are we traveling all around the universe meeting the greatest experts and seeing unbelievable things?"

"Of course it is true! In fact, we are to do that so much you'll probably eventually get bored of it." Guihu Luixing said shaking his head.

"Hehehe, I doubt it." she said with a smile.

"Kon!" their conversation was interrupted by Dark Moon's loud bark.
