"Hey, Boss, you called me in." Pamela came in without knocking, which made Alvin go unnoticed. This stunned him for a moment. Then, he quickly composed himself and coughed a little.
"What are you doing in the office in these late hours? I believe all the staff off to their homes already." He scanned her a little and looked straight at her face.
"Umm, I.. I... Since you are here in the office, I should also stay. Maybe you need something." She swayed her body forward a little, showing her popping cleavage.
Alvin looked at her action for a moment but quickly concentrated on his phone.
"Don't you know if there are urgent calls? You should tell me immediately, right?" He bored his eyes into her pale face, narrowing his eyes. His tone was firm but interrogative.
"But there were no urgent calls on your phone today." She said in denial.
"Someone called me many times, but you didn't bother to inform me once." His anger was getting high because she was playing too dumb there.
"Many calls…" She acted like she was thinking of something. In reality, she had fantasies about him and wanted to keep him for herself only. It was her usual act to ignore any calls from other women until it mattered for business.
She was tall and had a slender figure with perfect curves. But Alvin never paid attention to her efforts. Alvin was a multibillionaire and the most eligible bachelor in town. No other male had any position to reach his level.
Ever since she laid her eyes on him, her only dream was to reach his bedroom and become his legal wed. But Alvin never paid attention to her. She was the beauty of the office, and many of her colleagues desired to get her.
But Alvin already had someone in his heart, and he had no intention of ruining his relationship with Samantha. At the same time, Pamela pushed herself hard to get into his pants.
"Oh, yes, I remembered. I thought it was from some donation company." She acted innocent and made a puppy face to hide her cunning intentions.
Samantha's name was saved as a lifeline on his mobile, so it was obvious that the calls were from his girlfriend.
Pamela was envious of her. She had secretly investigated her and found that she was an epitome of beauty, but her background was nothing compared to hers. Still, Alvin loved Samantha instead of her.
Alvin repented, "Leave from here. Go back to home. No need to stay long for me when it's not needed." He said with annoyance and got up from his swivel chair.
"But boss, I am your assistant. What if you needed something? I must be here for you." She tried to get close to him with slow and seductive steps.
"I know well about my needs. Please go out. I am leaving, too." He said that, gathered his belongings, and left.
Suddenly, a cunning smile flashed on her face.
"Boss,"
"Boss,"
"Boss, wait for me." She shouted at his back.
But he didn't react to her calling him.
She quickly picked up her handbag and ran behind him.
Alvin was about to exit from the basement in his car when she approached him.
"What the hell, Pamela? Are you crazy?" He rolled down his car window and barked at her antics.
"Boss, it's already late. I would hardly get any commutes. Can you drop me?" She said with a worried face.
Being a gentleman, Alvin asked her to get in. However, he was not in the mood to give her any lift because of her stupid actions today. He wanted to reach Samantha as soon as possible, but there were misunderstandings. He called her back several times while coming out of the office, but she didn't pick them up.
He was worried about her health. In reality, she was in the hotel room with Martin and Derek.
There was a silence in the car. He was not ready to look at Pamela or talk with her. Many evil thoughts had already indulged him.
Pamela was smiling inwardly at her minor achievement. She was staying in the part of the city opposite Samantha's hostel, which would also take time. She finally succeeded in making a barrier between them. Now, she would get more time with him. Though it was a small play for her, it was a great start.
It was very light traffic outside, so he drove at his usual speed. His only aim was to reach his destination as soon as possible.
Suddenly, he hit the brake hard, and the car halted with the sound of screeching tyres.
An old lady was crossing the road and came in front of them. She was saved just in time. Alvin took a deep breath and waited for the lady to cross the path.
Pamela took this opportunity to put her hand on his, holding the gear. But he quickly retreated and got out of the car. He helped the old lady to move faster on the road and hopped back into his vehicle.
"You are very generous." Pamela appreciated his act, but he didn't pay any heed.
Alvin rolled the keys, and they moved with lightning speed.
"What is the work with him here?" Samantha asked with a jolt. He felt uncomfortable with his dangerous closeness.
She took a step back.
"He is my brother and will help us to reach our goal. You know what I mean, right?" Derek smirked.
She jolted a little. His words pierced her soul in many pieces.
"I didn't understand." She scrunched her nose to hide her fear.
Derek stared at her face, then looked at Martin with a crooked smile.
"What?" she asked quizzically.
"He will assist us in taking care of your mother. He will be there with her in the hospital all the time." Derek said nonchalantly while making a drink for all of them.
"But there are doctors and nurses all the time. What he has to do there?" She was getting hints slightly but wanted to be precise.
"You know, I never leave any loophole in my work. I do everything with foolproof security." He said while handing her the drink.
Martin grinned, showing his yellowish teeth. He had been trying to touch her hand from the start but had failed.
"I found some information and felt I should make my plan more secure. So, thought of this thing," he said with a smug face.
"Martin will stay there all the time, and it will guarantee that you won't get distracted from your play." He put a hand on her bare shoulder and squeezed a little.
"You can't do this?" She snapped back.
She had never encountered a lousy man like him, but now she couldn't turn back, as everything was at stake.
