Questioning Natalie
With Alonso heading to the police station to provide his statement, Natalie found herself seated in the Valois family's Mercedes with Javier behind the wheel. Jack occupied the front passenger seat while Gabriela sat in the back next to Natalie. It was one of the longest rides she had ever experienced in her life.
When the car parked in front of the mansion, Javier's eyes shifted between her flushed face and Gabriella's visibly upset expression. No one in the car made a move or said anything until Jack turned around and stared at his niece.
"...Keep your chin up, Nati. You've done nothing wrong."
Jack was there when she chased the loan shark outside the wedding planner's shop. If he was convinced that she did nothing wrong, then he must've thought she went back to her husband and told him everything.
I'm a coward, Uncle Jack. she admitted to herself, avoiding his sympathetic blue eyes and feeling undeserving of his compassion.
