Xavier took a big step back into his room with a look on his face like he wanted to eat people.
Even some of the employees who had passed each other did not dare to just stare, let alone say hello, the expression on that stern face was so scary.
"Mia, make sure the revised report and proposal are on my desk after recess," Xavier said to the secretary walking behind him. "If you're late, I'll fire you!"
"Okay, Sir," answered Mia the secretary.
"Uhm, sir?" Called Mia nervously as soon as Xavier's strong hand touched the door handle of his room.
Xavier looked back with angry, "What?!"
Before Mia speak, Xavier look seemed to want to pounce on her. Making the secretary swallow the sentence she was about to say.
"Th-that, sir, there's—"
"What's wrong? Speak clearly!" Xavier became increasingly annoyed to find his secretary seemed to be struggling to string words together. Just a waste of time.
Instead of making the secretary speak more clearly, made the woman even more frightened.
"Ah, you took so long!" said Xavier curtly as he turned the knob on his door.
"Sir!" Mia looks more and more panic. "Th-it's inside there—"
Late. The door is now wide open. Now the expression on Xavier's stern face has now completely changed.
Mia and Rico— Xavier's assistant, looked at each other warily. It was certain that Xavier's mood would only get worse after this.
"Mommy?" Xavier stopped his steps, his handsome face turned cold instantly. "Is the world of socialites not interesting anymore? Until you become less work and come to the office like this."
Mia, who already knew the war was about to happen, immediately backed away and stepped out of the room.
"Gosh! It's really not right. Mrs. Hannah came when the Boss was in a bad mood," she muttered quietly, closing the door tightly while stroking her chest. "The third world war is about to start."
Maybe in this office it's just her and Rico—Xavier's assistant, who knows that the boss of their company almost never gets along with his mother, ever since Xavier's match with Nathalie was arranged.
Every time Hannah came to see her son at the office it always ended in a big fuss.
This little secret is known to Mia and Rico, only because they both work directly with Xavier and are always silent witnesses of their quarrels.
Back in the room, Hannah took a deep breath, trying not to get emotional as the stinging sarcasm escaped her son's mouth.
"Is the world of socialites not interesting anymore? Until you become less work and come to the office like this ...." Xavier hung his sentence in the air, then his gaze shifted to the person sitting next to his mother. "With Nathalie."
Ah, apparently the woman labeled as his biological mother came with her favorite daughter-in-law, Nathalie. Now Xavier can guess what is the purpose of the arrival of the middle-aged woman.
Hearing her name being called, Nathalie looked up at her future husband. "I was asked by Mommy to come here, X."
Hannah, who had been sitting on the sofa with Nathalie, stand up gracefully. "I've made an appointment with W.O, MUA, as well as wedding outfit and ring designers." The woman glanced at the luxurious watch on her left hand. "Maybe in fifteen minutes they'll be here."
"So this is how you force me?" Xavier looked at his mother scornfully. "By bringing them into the office ... without my permission," he growled emphatically.
"Then what else should I do?" Hannah said nonchalantly while shrugging her shoulders. "You always say you're too busy to prepare for the wedding. Well, we'll just come to your office and take care of everything here. this is the win-win solution, right?"
Hannah looked relaxed, while Nathalie looked worriedly at the two. The words of the future mother-in-law would surely provoke Xavier's anger even more.
Sure enough. The handsome face seemed to harden, Hannah managed to make Xavier's emotional side almost explode out of control.
Xavier looks increasingly furious. "Mommy!"
Xavier's screams boomed, even making Nathalie, who had not intended to take part in the debate, flinched slightly. In contrast to Hannah who seemed to have gotten used to her son's temperament.
"Mommy, you can't just bring things outside of work to the office without my permission," Xavier pointed at his own mother. Gone are all manners that have been shown by the good version of Xavier.
"Who the hell are you that I need your permission, Xavier?" Hannah asked casually, she sat back down on the sofa and grabbed one of the magazines on the table. "You act like this office is yours."
"Mommy …." Nathalie held Hannah's arm with a worried expression, but the middle-aged woman only glanced over with a dignified smile.
Xavier's blood boils hearing this. His hands were clenched into fists so that the veins in his arms could be seen. Hannah's words clearly hurt the self-esteem that Xavier held in high regard.
"I lead this company, I also have rights and power here."
"And there's still your grandfather as director commissioner," Hannah replied, not wanting to lose. "You're just the CEO, X. The chairman appointed by the board of commissioners. Don't be so arrogant! You could be kicked out of your current position at any time."
Sometimes dealing with a tough Xavier is needed this way. Being too lenient wouldn't allow Hannah to control her son's stubbornness.
"Mom, please don't be too hard on Xavier," Nathalie whispered. The beautiful face looked so worried about the dispute between the mother and child.
Hannah gently stroked Nathalie's hand that was wrapped around her arm as she said, "It's okay, don't worry. I told you to let this be my business."
At the same time, the phone on Xavier's desk rang loudly. With wide strides, Xavier headed for the table to pick up the call.
"Sir, there are several people who came to see you, they claimed to be a team of wedding organizers, designers, and—"
"Tell them to leave!" Xavier snapped, his mother's actions this time really made his blood boil even to the top of his head. "If they come in, I will kick you out of this office. Do you understand?!"
