Today was nothing short of a disappointment. I have been expecting this so-called House of Evolution to strike an attack. My guard was up the entire day. I needed to protect my Master's belongings and apartment at all costs. Yet, no one came. "Sensei, I have located their hideout. It was suspiciously easy to track them down; I suspect a ploy." I informed my Master, who busied himself in front of the television.
There wasn't anything interesting being shown, but from my weeks of observation, it seems that watching the television was one of my Master's routines. I have written it down; it's possible that this was a part of Master Saitama's key to his overwhelming strength. I waited patiently as Master Saitama wore his heroic costume. I must conclude that it requires further improvements. The simplistic design and crude material it's made of wouldn't be enough to garner the public's attention. Though, I do admit that it stands out from the rest.
The somewhat simple design ameliorates his overall look. I would've liked to propose a better costume that I had in mind. It is one that I have personally designed. One that fits Master Saitama's greatness. But... From what I've heard. It looks like Master treasures his costume and refuses to change it. "Dude, are we going or what?" I hear my Master call to me. It seems that I've been too engrossed in my thoughts.
I quickly blurted an apology and moved. "Yeah, yeah... didn't you say that it's in a forest or something? Let's hunt some pigs while we're at it. I heard they're delicious."
...
Whoosh!
Saitama ran with carefree, avoiding the dozens of trees and rocks he passed by. His disciple, Genos, followed closely behind. "I am sorry, Sensei. I thought that you could fly..." Genos apologized. The fastest way of travel for him was to fly using his blasters, but Genos didn't expect that his Master couldn't fly.
"Why did you even think that I could fly... I'm still human, you know." Saitama responded with his usual blank expression. They conversed with each other, more of Genos apologizing for his mistake rather than an actual conversation. A few more minutes pass when Genos abruptly stop.
"Sensei, their hideout is roughly 300 meters away. I suggest we take our time to pass through these dense forestation." Genos suggested. He was being vigilant. Genos don't know what they have inside their arsenal. "Oh, okay." Saitama merely agreed and stopped in his tracks. He didn't mind walking for a bit. It would serve beneficial for him. Saitama had two reasons for coming here. The first was to find the 'House of Revolution' he had mistakingly remembered. Saitama wanted to search for that girl, Ena's parents, and return her to them. The second was... well, he wants to hunt some species of pig that he saw in a hunting channel. Apparently, they taste pretty good.
Soon enough, they arrived at a large clearing, and in the middle was an eight-story building that looked suspiciously fake. None of the lights were on, and the door was tightly shut. "Genos, are you sure it's this building?" Saitama questioned. He knocked on the door uncaring, expecting no one the open it.
Buzz!
Suddenly, the sound of a mosquito buzzing was heard. "Oh." Saitama blurts out. He hated mosquitoes. Exceeding the feeling of losing his flip-flops. Without flinching, he quickly pulled out his palm and slammed it hard on his face. His face smoked, steam coming out where it hit.
"Sensei!" Genos called at the side. "What's wrong?" His Master questioned. "...There is none, Sensei. But the building..." He hesitatingly continued. "Is destroyed." Saitama quickly turned around and saw the aftermath of his action. "Oh. Oops." He didn't slap his face that hard, but Saitama forgot to take into consideration that a 'weak' slap would cause catastrophic damage.
The entire building was gone, from top to bottom. The surrounding area has been devastated, and hills and mountains leveled to the ground. It went on for hundreds of kilometers. Saitama looked down and saw something out of sight.
"Oh, there's a hatch here." He said plainly and snapped it open. Stairs revealed themselves, and luminescence light assaulted his eyes. Dust made it inside his nose, and he sneezed. It would have caused another catastrophe if he had not controlled it. "Please be careful, Sensei. This place doesn't seem to be well maintained." Genos reminds him from the side.
Saitama waved it off and continued down the stairs. It was quite long, but they made it to the bottom in a few minutes. At the bottom was a long hallway, that extended as far as the eye could see. Though, it wasn't that difficult for Saitama to see the end with his enhanced eyesight. The hallway was dimly lit, and the lights flickered every so often.
"You think they already know we're here?" Saitama asked the vigilant cyborg. "I believe so. I couldn't possibly imagine a powerhouse would willingly allow an intruder in." Genos responded. "Meh, doesn't really matter as long as they could one punch! the dudes away." Saitama exclaimed as he waved his fist around.
Soon enough, the area around them quieted down and only their footsteps were heard. Saitama looked ahead, in the far distance, he could faintly see lights going out. The ground lightly shook with each passing second. Genos quickly understood the situation and initiated his stance. "Sensei! Up ahead!"
"Yeah, I know," Saitama said, still uncaring. He already saw what it was a while ago, and was actually anticipating their arrival. He glanced at his partner and in that instant, a huge being towered over both of them. With a quick swift motion, Saitama grabbed Genos out of harm's way and drop him at his side. "Be careful, dude. You almost got turned into a piece of modern art." Saitama couldn't help but remark.
"Thank you, Sensei." He said, "But it appears we have another trouble at hand." Genos added. The being that almost crushed him got his back turned to them. "Is it them?" It questioned. "Yeah..." A man that was being held by his head weakly confirmed. "The one on the right..."
"Well, since we don't need the one on the left..." The huge beetle-like monster quickly slammed his armored hand into Genos. Who wasn't strong enough to defend against the attack and was directly crushed into the wall.
Saitama; with his typical forgetfulness, has completely forgotten that a monster existed in front of them. "Genos! Dude, you good?" An expression of worry was plastered on his face as he looked at the pitiful sight of Genos. "I...am—fine." He barely worded out as Saitama turned to the new arrival.
"You turned Genos into something worse than a modern art, bring it on." Saitama said with a bit of annoyance. "Heh. Just so happens a new test ground—"
Boom!
"Yeah, yeah. It'll end with just a punch anyways, plus, I'm kind of annoyed." Saitama exclaimed as he wiped the guts off his bloodied fist. "Right, wasn't there a dude with this guy?" A faint grunt sounded not that far away, "Oh, he passed out."
On the side, Genos managed to pull himself out. "I am deeply sorry, Sensei. It seems my training is still considerably lacking." He worded out with difficulty. His face was cracked, and parts of his body has been dented from the force of the monsters attack.
"It's fine, as long as you learn from it." It didn't bother Saitama. After all, he wasn't even teaching the kid anything. He felt as if he was just scamming him... The best he could do was leave him a few insights about random stuff and most importantly, sales.
"Can ya move?" Saitama asked with a strange look. "Certainly, Sensei. But it seems my movement will be limited." Genos answered and moved his limbs around. 'I don't feel good hindering Doctor Kuseno's work... But it looks like I will need further upgrades.' Genos moved and approached the unconscious person on the ground.
He scanned him and confirmed an identity. "Dr. Genus, a genius from the past. It unbelievable how he managed to retain his youth... But from the data given to me, he was the one that gave birth to the S-Class hero, Zombieman." He thought aloud.
"Sensei, he's the guy that were looking for." Genos turned around and picked up the unconscious man on the ground. "But... Isn't this too easy?" He continued, "I suppose that was their strongest. But, it's strange that they easily fell."
"Oh. So that guy was the strongest here..?" Saitama mulled and depressed over the thought. "Sensei, your strength is out of the question. He would obviously not stand a chance against your unparalleled might."
Saitama thought about it for a bit and decided. "I guess. Let's go hunt some food!" He finally set out and created another hole for them to pass through.
...
No, this can't be. All my life's work, gone in the blink of an eye!
That girl; she was a masterpiece, the perfect being created after years of research! Zombieman—no, even Carnage Kabuto pales in comparison!
It's all their fault—Monster Association or some bullcrap! If they haven't meddled in my research, none of this would've happen! My choices are limited... I guess it's time to release 'that'.
Bang!
"T-trouble! Carnage Kabuto has escaped his confinement! He's killing all of our clones one by one!" Clone 12, one of my earliest clone appeared before my office and reported. Sigh, I really don't have a choice, do I?
...
The large door that haven't been accessed since its creation; opened before my eyes and revealed the being that lies on the other side. I gazed at its figure, fixated at its appearance. My head was quick to shake, it would prove troublesome if I fall to its charm.
It was one of my creations ability, the ability to charm any being, regardless of their gender, they will fall under her control. Powerful as it was, I fail to test it against Carnage Kabuto, whom was crazy enough to overpower any of his carnal desires.
A clone of mine moved in, with proper equipment that allowed us to lessen the charms effects. Although impossible to negate, it was good enough. "She will be unfrozen within 30 minutes max." He said as I fixed my glasses. "Tch. That's not enough time, those Monster Association guys will be here soon enough. Plus, we have an intruder to deal with."
"Don't worry, all will be good once she gets out of the ice." My clone reassured. Though, I already knew that. I am him, after all. "Anyways. Have we found traces of that girl? She was the primary reason we existed. My years of hard work and devotion to create the perfect, evolved human being."
"Yes. From Armored Gorilla's recent mission outside. He have encountered her and two other person. One can be identified as bald, while the other was robotic. Wait, this description matches the intruders from earlier..."
"Exactly. Go buy some time, I will wait here for her awakening." I didn't have much else to do, my demise was near, and so was every one of my clones. My clone soon left, not saying another word.
...
'W-what happened..? The Monster Association, they must have arrived... My clones and other creations will not survive against their forces.'
I forced myself up, but only a grunt came out. My body wouldn't move, even with all my strength. All have been drained, not a single speck of energy remained in me.
My body has been beaten pretty badly, blood coming out of my mouth. It's not hard to imagine that my body must have been filled with internal injuries...
My body ached; bones shattered. "Ugh..." I let out another grunt. Remembering everything that happened up to this point. 'The pinnacle of my creations... Yes, that's right. These guys have her.'
'Although I am uncertain how they managed to tame her, I'm set on recovering her.' I groaned as the pain assaulted me. 'Right Carnage Kabuto, what happened to him...?' My thoughts were cut abruptly when the dust cleared, showing what used to be our base of operation, completely exposed to the elements of nature and sun.
'Didn't I build it underground..?' I violently coughed a mouthful of blood as a memory resurfaced. 'That bald guy... He—he killed him...'
'Even if Carnage Kabuto is only my second strongest, I firmly believed nobody else except my peak creation would be able to defeat him...'
Cough! Cough!
"Y-you..!"
"Oh, you're awake." The man who carried me exclaimed. "You were sprawled on the ground earlier and looked pretty bad." He scratched his head. I couldn't see his face, since he carried me on his shoulders uncaring of my injuries.
"Oh, sorry bout that," Ugh... My head dazed. I couldn't think properly...
"Oh... I remember now..." I giggled manically. 'She' should have been released by now... The Monster Association... These intruders... They wouldn't see what strikes them.
"H-hahahaha!"
"Uh. Did he hit his head or something?" I heard the bald man remark. "I believe so." The robot agreed from the side.
...
Damn it! Damn it all! My plan, all led in failure! All thanks to those guys meddling! The Ultimate Brachii King steroid has just been completed, yet I didn't have the chance to give it to my little brother! If they didn't arrive at that time, we would've been unstoppable!
Now, they're holding us captive in this tiny little area, with no room to breath. They captured, and stole my researches!
"Fukegao. Have you decided yet? We merely asks for your cooperation. We cannot develop further advancements of the steroids without its creator." A monster, who guarded my cell asked for the umpteenth time.
"My choices doesn't change. Just kill me. I refuse to give my greatest achievement away just like that!"
"You leave us with no choice." The metal door opened. Making metallic noises as it slid against the floor. A floating eyeball came in, all too familiar...
"Your body will be taken over, and will slave away here for the rest of your miserable life." A chill ran down my spine... I don't like the sound of that. "Oh, and you will retain your conciousness. Someone will take over your body, but you will still feel everything that happens to it." I stared up at the eyeball, sweat dripping down my forehead. A fate worse than death...
"Fine..." I said and dropped on the ground, my spirit broken. They also have my brother...
"That's an agreement, then." The eye said with a tone that sounded like as if it was smiling at me...
