I am struck by shock I can't even speak.
I want to talk but no words seem to be coming out.
"This is why I didn't want to say anything. You were not supposed to know." Vince says as he moves across me.
"What do you mean I wasn't supposed to know?" I am thrown off by that.
"Father was adamant about it. Think about it, he always saw you as the son he never had; doesn't that make you question a lot of things?" he goes on and I can't believe how I have never seen it before. But we have grown up together and he is my brother, I don't care if Darroc isn't his biological father.
"I didn't know", I say and he holds my shoulder.
"It's okay. That's our big family secret", he looks up "well one of our family's big secret".
"So do you know…?" I can't bring myself to say his biological dad.
"No. I never really wanted to know him. Mom told me everything I wanted to know about him and I am okay with what I know". He responds.
