The world had turned black. Kaori's skin was illuminated, letting off a faint white glow as she stood in a void, naked. Suddenly, a ghostly figure appeared before her.

It bore no features, other than a vaguely masculine, thin physical frame and a polite smile.

"Greetings," Kaori heard, looking up. "I suppose, to a human, it has been a while since we last spoke. For me, however, it's been no time at all. We may as well have only just said goodbye to each other a minute ago."

The figure chuckled to itself as Kaori put forth a confused expression.

"Uh... Have we talked before?"

"Indeed," he replied quickly. "It is irrelevant for now, though, so I will simply introduce myself once more. My name is Yx. You, Kaori, Lumina's Champion, have come seeking an alternative to what you and your friends consider to be some poor options. I have made this meeting happen because I believe I have one for you. Would you like to hear about it?"
