Soul King Palace

Yami and Yachiru watched the 5 people interact with everyone, suddenly a tanned guy with strange hair and glasses appeared in front of Yami and swiped his sword from him, saying "You're the Human, I've been hearing so much about?" Yami said "My sword! Give it back!" The man kicked Yami down and stood on him as he said "This Zanpakuto, I didn't make it. No wonder. Plus, this sword..." he snapped and said "Senjumaru, take this kid as well!"

Yami struggled and Shunsui held Yachiru, saying "He'll be fine. Relax." she said "But!" The man looked at Yachiru and grinned "Your boyfriend will be just fine, kid! Don't worry!" Yachiru blushed and grumbled. Yami struggled and the man crouched down saying "Stop struggling, kid. Your sword is crying for you." Yami's eyes widened and he was slapped into a bubble by a woman.

His old scarf was taken by the tan skinned man along with his sword and Zanpakuto, saying "This kid has good stuff!" Yami smashed on the bubbled glaring at the tanned man, who said he could just take his stuff?! The tanned man pulled his eye lid and spat his tongue out, walking away with the swords tied together with the scarf.

A while later

Yami arrived at the Soul King's area, he was sent with Ichigo and the rest of the wounded people. They were thrown into a Hot spring with one of the Royal guards, Tenjirou Kirinji.

Yami was sinking under the water and his healing was increased exponentially! This hot spring was better than the Healing Potions!

A day later

He went through a cycle in the Healing Spring then a red Blood Pool, over and over until Tenjirou punched him and said "You're good to go, kid." Yami said "Why am I here in the first place?" Tenjirou said "Don't ask me, I just heal people." he punched Ichigo and then Renji, who woke up as well.

Tenjirou sent all three of them to the next place with a hammer, smashing them across the sky. The three landed on the ground. They met Kirio Hikifune and she made food for them, they were hungry from healing their wounds and having their Reiryoku replaced. The food strengthened and increased their Reiryoku the more they ate. Yami even felt his breath increasing in quality!

He ate voraciously as he realized he could get even stronger by consuming the food in front of him, just as he did in the Healing Hot Spring, he took advantage of the benefits and used the precious opportunity to it's utmost limit, almost inhaling the food. It didn't taste as good as Hiro's but, Yami was sure Hiro didn't know how to make food like this.

Actually, Hiro could probably do it. He always cooked normally, his cooking skill was so high that it tasted like that and gave the benefits it did. If he cooked with Reiatsu, Mana, Nen, or Chakra, maybe it would be 10000x better than Kirio's.

Nevertheless, Yami didn't know this and continued eating before getting sent to the next palace along with the other two.

They landed on a platform and were stunned by the extravagant welcome by Oetsu Nimaiya. Yami looked at Oetsu and shouted "Give me back my sword!" Oetsu said "Hmmmmmmmmmm? Can't hear ya'~!" Yami charged up to him, pushing the girls out of the way as he said "I said give it back!" the girls pouted and said "Yami-sama~ I'll be your sword!"

Yami said "No, get away from me. You're not my Zanpakutos or sword." the girls pouted and were actually sad. They saw Yami's sword, his Zanpakuto was nothing, but that sword... It was the happiest sword they had ever seen in their lives. They wanted to be happy too!

Yami ignored them and went right up to Oetsu, Ichigo shouted "Yami! He's a Zero Division Captain! Y-" Yami ignored him and grabbed Oetsu saying "Give me back my friend." Oetsu grinned and said "Friend? You mean that lump of metal you carry around? I threw it away, it's melting in my forge."

Yami clenched Oetsu's collar and roared before punching him in the face. Ichigo and Renji ran over, this was bad! Yami cried and beat Oetsu, punching him in the face as tears ran down his cheeks. He believed Oetsu because he couldn't hear the song anymore.

Ichigo and Renji grabbed Yami off Oetsu and Yami kicked wildly, shouting "Give him back! Give him back to me!" Oetsu pushed off the ground and jumped to his feet, grinning without a scratch on him as he said "Great! I like you kid! I've never seen someone so emotional over a sword before!"

He grabbed Yami and brought him close "But you broke my glasses, punk." before headbutting Yami and knocking him out. He threw Yami on his shoulder and said "Let's go." as he walked away, Ichigo and Renji looked at each other, Renji shrugged and Ichigo sighed before following Oetsu.

A girl walked over and said "You came by yourself?" Oetsu said "Yessir! Found an interesting kid!" the girl nodded and they walked to a shack on a mountain. Oetsu looked at Yami and mumbled to himself "If that sword of his was a Zanpakuto..." he shuddered in glee, what an amazing sword that would be!

Oetsu threw Ichigo and Renji into a hole full of Asauchi. The two looked up and Oetsu grinned saying "These Zanpakutos got no love! Ya need new ones!" he smashed Ichigo and Renji's sword together, breaking them apart and said "Find your own Zanpakuto~!"

Ichigo and Renji fought the Asauchi for a day and a half, Renji succeeded but Ichigo failed and was sent away. Oetsu then threw Yami into the hole by himself and woke him up, saying "Kid~ Look what I got here~" Yami woke up and looked around before looking up at Oetsu, his eye widened and he watched as Oetsu took out his swords and brought them together, Yami shouted "STOP!"

Oetsu smashed the swords together and shattered them, Yami teared up and shouted "Bastard! I'll kill you! I'll kill you! Kill you! KILL YOU!" he grabbed an Asauchi from behind him and the Asauchi turned white as Yami jumped and swung it into a sword at Oetsu, who grinned and stretched out a finger.

The Asauchi exploded to pieces, Yami fell back and grabbed another Asauchi, swinging the sword it became at Oetsu with endless rage. Oetsu caught the falling pieces of the sword and wrapped them in the scarf, he ignored the Zanpakuto as it was 'trash' that wasn't created by him. He looked at Yami and said "Come on, kid~ Weren't you going to kill me?" Yami growled and grabbed the Asauchi slashing at Oetsu endlessly.

A long time later

Yami grabbed an Asauchi and looked at it before jumping at Oetsu and slashing down, but this time it didn't shatter. Oetsu grinned and the Asauchi stayed Humanoid. It looked like a devil, it had purple horns, white skin, black scalera, fangs, purple eyes, black hair, and black wings on it's back. It looked extremely evil, but it felt nice.

Oetsu said "Perfect! Just in time too!" Ichigo appeared and Oetsu kicked him into the hole. All the Asauchi kneeled down and Ichigo looked through them before taking a specific one. It turned into a Hollow looking thing.

Oetsu knocked Yami out and took him with him and Ichigo, who asked "Why did you knock him out again?" Oetsu said "This kid will bite me to death if he has to. I can tell, I mean after all..." he held up the shoddy scarf saying "I did break his friend." Ichigo was stunned and said "Why?!"

Oetsu said seriously "You don't understand what this sword really was." Ichigo said "It's not a sword?" Oetsu said "It was... Originally." Ichigo was confused and Oetsu explained "I don't know what this kid normally does with this sword, but despite the chips which looked fairly recent, this sword gained a spirit. Meaning that it was just a normal sword when it was made."

Oetsu pointed at Yami and continued "The kid 'made' the sword get a spirit from the bond he created with the sword. It's not just a simple 'sword' anymore. It's something completely new and different. It's a sword with life, its like a Zanpakuto but different. What it can become... even I don't know. All I know is, this kid and this sword... are special."

Ichigo said "Usually he carried it around with him everywhere. I haven't seen him without it since I saw him again after a year and a half." Oetsu replied seriously "The reason you didn't see him during that time was because, his soul wasn't in the World of the Living. Wherever he was during that time, he got the sword and became attached to it." Ichigo added "Apparently, he even holds it at school."

Oetsu laughed and said "I wouldn't be surprised if he sleeps with it." Ichigo looked at him funny and Oetsu wiggled his finger saying "Don't underestimate the lengths sword freaks will go!" Ichigo shook his head and they entered an underground space. Oetsu put Yami down and said "Ichigo first!"
