CH-8 Monke meets the Monke King

Jin's POV

Where am I? Definitely not on a tree in old Japan.

Pitch-black darkness around me with stars shining above my head and black flat surface with water level just below my ankles. This is all I can see

"Hey, Eva! Where exactly are we?"

"Eva!"

So she's not here too.

*deep breathes* Think calmly and try not to panic. Let's sit down in a lotus position and think for a moment before jumping to conclusions. Take deep breaths and -

"At least you're not afraid of the unknown." Even though my eyes were closed, I could feel the power emitted by this person in front of me and I'd heard this voice somewhere. As I opened my eyes and saw him, every fiber of my existence was telling me to kneel and worship the man in front of me. My body started to move on its own-

NO! I don't want to kneel, even if it's him.

With a lean build, which didn't seem that strong but anyone with skills could see, the power in his body was unrivaled. Crimson red eyes with star-shaped golden pupils, without a shred of malice in them. Light golden hair which shined so bright, like they were light themselves. Numerous scars across his body which were the signs of countless fights he had won. Wearing a simple-looking plain white t-shirt and blue trousers, with a red-colored loop around his head. With a simple smile on his face, the place where we were, made him look even more godly. Standing in front of me was the original Jin/Dan Mori in his True Maitreya form.

"Hmm good. You don't need to worry about anything, While I do have a lot of power, I'm not a fan of playing god. But you already knew that, didn't you, my variant."

"I'm not a variant of Jin Mori. I died once and just woke up one day with this body. But yes, I knew that."

"I know. Technically I gave this body to you."

What did he just say now!? All the calm and composure I had was blown away for a while and shock was clearly visible on my face. *deep breathes* x2 And I'm calm again.

"No need to act so stiff! Come on let's sit down and eat some peaches. I'll explain what happened to you."

"Thank you...Sir."

"Did you just call me sir?" I nodded yes and he just started laughing.

"....."

He's been laughing for 5 minutes. This is getting awkward. I guess he's in a really good mood.

"Just call me Jin/Dan or Mori, I don't mind."

"Okay sure. Can you please tell me what exactly happened to me?"

"Hmmm stand up and follow me. I'll take you to see a wonderful place." He turned back and started walking towards empty lands. I don't know where we are going but following him is the only thing I can do here anyway.

Mori waved his hand sideways and a circular blue portal just opened in front of him and he just walked inside it. I wanted to know where it leads exactly but asking too many questions is pointless. I'm going to see it in a moment anyway.

"Come on in Jin Mori!" a voice came from the inside. I took a deep breath before walking inside the portal as it closed itself behind me.

Well, I certainly didn't expect this.

A massive island with an area spanning more than a planet, and bright blue water surrounding it. Dragons and wyverns flying across the skies, with multiple demon races like Minotaurs and Monkeys walking around. Lush green trees and colorful flowers everywhere, with beautiful mountains in one area and volcanoes in the other.

I am certain that it was one of the best places to ever exist. And it felt like home.

The Monkey King put his hand around my shoulder and said with a big smile,

"Welcome to the Sage Realm kid!"

As the chapters are short today...I'll be posting one more a few hours later....And I'll be editing the last chapter's ending as the story would not make sense if it stayed the same...So read the ending of CH-7 again after this arc finishes.....It'll probably be about 3 more chapters for the sage realm and 3-4 chapters to complete the Demon Slayer Arc...And the Sage realm is where Monkey King originated from...
