WAREHOUSE
POV DESMOND
All of the color drained from my face as I watched Nathaniel jump down from the rafters above. He told me that he would stay away, that he was going to let me and Dedra handle this. I tried not to look at Dedra's face but I'm sure he was also just as shocked. Or maybe he had always known he was there.
Either way I had to regain my composure before Thomas and Nathaniel walked back over to where I was sitting. Taking a few deep breaths, I made my face blank as they walked over to the fountain.
"What are you doing here, Nathaniel?" I asked in a monotone voice.
"That's what I would like to know," Thomas mused. "I thought the two of you were no more, yes?"
"I couldn't just let Desmond sign away his life as I did," Nathaniel ground out.
"That's not your decision," I hissed. "I thought I told you to leave me alone."
"Nathaniel, I'm going to have to ask you to leave," Thomas said, trying to guide him away.
