Monarch's Ascension: Rise to Power with the Sovereign System

In "Monarch's Ascension: Rise to Power with the Sovereign System", the main character finds themselves mysteriously transported into the body of an 14 year old after dying. In this new world they are tasked with building and ruling a kingdom. The problem: the Kingdom in Question is just One Island that is currently being ransacked by Pirates. Fortunately, he is being granted a powerful tool to aid them in him in this quest: the Sovereign System. This unique system provides the MC with a wide array of abilities and resources to help him grow their kingdom. English isn't my first language so I don't have a plethora of vocabularies in my head. The grammar will possibly be very bad. So please cut me some slack. Hope you will like the story.

Every end is a new beginning

Well, here we are... Who would have thought that it would end this soon?

The hospital room was eerily quiet, except for the rhythmic beeping of the machines keeping me alive. As I laid in bed, my mind drifted back to my past, reliving the moments that had led me here. The mistakes, the regrets, and the wrong choices that had defined my life until this point.

I remembered the reckless and impulsive youth I had been, always chasing the next thrill without a thought for the consequences. I had hurt the people closest to me, lost the respect and friendship of those around me, and wasted precious years of my life in pursuit of temporary pleasures instead of setting myself up.

But then came university. It was a reality check. I was very close to getting kicked out just because of my bad grades. It was at this time that the only people who hadn't abandoned me came to my rescue: my family. My parents and sister were the only ones who still loved me, even after all the stuff that I did throughout the years. Thanks to them, I slowly started to get out of the dark hole that I had created for myself.

But then came the diagnosis: a heart disease that would take my life sooner than I had ever imagined. It was a cruel twist of fate, but I refused to let it defeat me. I made the decision to donate my organs to give someone else a chance at life. It was the least I could do after all the unnecessary harm I had caused in the past.

And so, lying in that hospital bed, I hoped that my organs would be of good use to people who might do good in the world. It was too late for me to start over and make things right. But I hoped that through my organs I could, even if only indirectly, make things right, even in death. With that thought in my mind, I closed my eyes and took my last breath, at peace with the knowledge that my life, no matter how flawed, had served a purpose. Something my teenage self wouldn't have probably never guessed: saving a life.

Then nothing...

And still nothing. It was something at first I didn't realize, then it struck me—before me stood an angel. Yes, you heard that right—a real angel. I tried to calm down, but that is really hard when you don't even know what is happening right now.

Right at this moment, the angel started to speak: "You have been granted the opportunity to get a second chance at life, the possibility to transmigrate into another world. Now the question is, do you want to do that? Or do you want to go straight to the afterlife?"

As I gazed upon the angel before me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. This was a being that seemed to be responsible for the transmigration of souls, a being that held the power to grant new life.

"Why am I, of all people, here?" I asked the angel.

The angel replied, "You have been given a rare opportunity. One of the children who received one of your organs went on to create a machine that helped with cancer treatment and the early detection of different cancers. Your last-minute, but also selfless, act of becoming an organ donor has brought you highly positive karma."

I was taken aback. I had no idea that my kidney had made such a significant impact on someone's life.

The angel continued, "Your soul also seemed to have many regrets, which is why you have been given another chance in a new universe."

I couldn't believe it. I had been given another chance at life, all because of my decision to donate my organs. It was a humbling realization, and I vowed to make the most of this new opportunity.

This time I shall live a "real" life. A life without any regrets, as I would try my best to avoid being in a similar situation to my last life.

After I agreed to transmigrate, I suddenly found myself in a different place, surrounded by a strange, ethereal light. As I looked around, I saw a figure approaching me.

"My name is Leandro," the being said. "I am a creator, and I have taken it upon myself to care for a world that was abandoned by its original creator. This has left the world in a state of imbalance, and I am in need of assistance."

I was taken aback by this revelation. I had barely had a chance to process my new reality, and now I was being asked to help save an entire world.

"My name is Albert," I replied, even though I guessed that he already knew my name. But I wanted to start this new life right, and the right manners wouldn't hurt. "But how can I help? I am just one person."

Leandro replied, "Well, you wouldn't have to save the world. What I want you to do is create a country. And as long as your country has a large enough impact on the world, the balance of the world can easily be restored. It doesn't matter if you want to take over an already existing one or if you want to create your own; maybe you'll even become king one day." He chuckled and continued, "I understand that this is a daunting task, which is why I have decided to grant you the Sovereign System." It is my own creation, and it will allow you to manage resources, recruit followers, and build a kingdom or a republic, whatever you like. With this system, you will have the power to bring balance back to this world."

I was stunned. The Sovereign System sounded like an incredibly powerful tool, and I couldn't believe that Leandro, a being that seemingly could create, manage, and destroy worlds, was entrusting me with it. But I knew that I had to do my best to live up to this responsibility and help save this world from its imbalance. Although I wondered what exactly this imbalance in the world was.

I asked Leandro about the world, wanting to know more about the kind of place I was about to enter. "It's a world of swords and magic," he replied cryptically.

Confused by this answer, I pressed him for more information. "What do you mean by 'swords and magic'?" I asked, hoping for a more detailed explanation.

Leandro hesitated for a moment before answering. "It's a world where people use swords and magic to fight and survive," he said. "But there's more to it than that. You'll see for yourself soon enough."

I was about to ask more questions when Leandro interrupted me. "Listen carefully," he said, his voice growing serious. "You have been given a second chance at life in this world. You will be reborn as a 14-year-old boy named Temetrius, who died just moments ago in his own world. You will have his memories and emotions, which will help you navigate this new world."

I was taken aback by this revelation. "Wait, what? I'm going to be someone else?"

Leandro nodded. "Yes, but you'll still be you. You'll have all of your own experiences and memories, too. But you'll also have Temetrious's, and you'll need to use them to help balance this world."

I wasn't sure I understood what he was asking of me, but before I could ask any more questions, Leandro warned me of potential consequences. "I hope there aren't any serious backlashes from this," he muttered, almost to himself.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, feeling a sense of unease creeping up on me.

Leandro didn't answer, instead bidding me a quick farewell and vanishing before my eyes. As I slipped into unconsciousness, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of world I was about to enter, and what kind of challenges lay ahead.

I slowly opened my eyes, feeling disoriented and confused. The last thing I remembered was talking to Leandro, and then everything went black. As I looked around, I realized I was in a small, dimly lit room. The walls were made of stone, and the only furniture was a small wooden bed and a mirror hanging on the wall.

I stood up, feeling unsteady on my feet, and walked over to the mirror. I couldn't help but gasp when I saw my reflection. Furthermore, I looked completely different. My face was thinner, my hair was black and messy, and my eyes were a deep brown color. There was a scar beside my left eye that looked like it had been there for a while.

I examined my new body more closely. I was tall and lanky, and I could feel the sharp edges of my bones pressing against my skin. Not only that, but I realized that I must have been malnourished and neglected for some time.

At that moment, I started to realize that this wasn't a dream; I was now called Temetrious and no longer my old name, Albert.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through my head, causing me to fall to the ground. I clutched my head, trying to dull the pain, but it only seemed to intensify. It felt like my brain was being ripped apart. I could feel memories flooding into my mind—memories that didn't belong to me. They belonged to Temetrious, the boy whose body I now inhabit.

As the pain slowly subsided, I tried to make sense of what was happening to me. It was like I was living in a dream or a nightmare. I had so many questions, but I didn't know where to start. All I could do was try to make sense of my new surroundings and my new identity.

This is my first time writing a story and English isn't my first language.
