Dante could still remember the time Serena had pulled the trigger to end Nightmare's life. He never thought she would do something like that, however he didn't know too much about Serena. He didn't want to admit it but he knew that she was right, she was right when she said he didn't know her. From a survivor's point of view, technically she had done what was needed for their survival. If Nightmare was to ever come after them, they would most likely be killed. Besides the reason she had lost this battle was because she was unaware of Dante's abilities.

Looking at Serena who was currently picking up valuable things in the area, Dante was lost in thought. Though his attention eventually shifted from her to the environment. Their plan to take down Nightmare with methane gas had destroyed their base as well as the plants in the environment. Ash along with burnt leaves from the plants laid on the ground in massive amounts giving the place a desolate look.
