She was sleepy
Miss Chicken puts the plates on the table in front of the Mister. He looks at the dishes quietly. The scent of the food already has him drooling.
There's rice, spicy grilled short ribs, stewed fish, cucumber soup, and kimchi. His eyes well up. It feels like it's been an eternity since he had eaten her cooking.
But why is she smiling at him so brightly? He's not used to seeing such a smile. She would always show him a grumpy face or complain about something that he had done. Is she really over whatever made her mad at him?
"Why aren't you eating?" Chang Seol asks him with a sweet voice.
It sends a shiver down his spine. But her sweet tone isn't enough to sway him from eating the food that she made. He picks the spoon and tastes the soup first.
Damn! The savoury taste enlightens his soul. "Chicken, how did you improve your cooking so much?"
"It's a secret." Chang Seol gives him a tight smile. "Eat more."
