Hearing her reply, Nathan smiled and continued to knock on the door.
Sharon got annoyed and didn't answer.
"I have told him to wait a moment. Why does he still knock?" Sharon murmured.
"I told you! Wait a minute!"
"Hurry up. I need to pee,"
Nathan replied anxiously.
Sharon still stood under the shower and ignored what Nathan said.
Seeing that Sharon neither answered nor opened the door, Nathan opened the door and rushed in.
Sharon was startled when she saw him rushing in, and she stared at him.
"Why do you get in?"
Nathan looked at her fair skin with droplets, and he was stunned for a moment.
"Close your eyes and get out!"
Sharon yelled in embarrassment.
"Why? I'm peeing?"
Nathan said as he reached out unbuckled his belt. Sharon looked at him, and she picked up her pajama and walked out of the bedroom immediately.
Seeing her come out, Nathan turned off the shower and tidied up the bathroom before walking out.
"Where did you go today? Did you have a good time?"
Nathan sat beside her and looked at her with deep eyes full of love.
Sharon nodded and sat there, looking preoccupied.
"What happened? It seems that you are not that happy."
Nathan knew her a lot. Since she hung out today, she should be in a good mood and tell him something interesting she met, but not looked cold like this.
Sharon had a sigh and looked hesitant. She looked at Nathan and thought that she should tell him what happened.
"I saw Cliff and Renata today."
Hearing that, Nathan came to a halt for a moment and then nodded slightly.
"Are you jealous of their staying together?"
"Jealous? So ridiculous!
I can't wait to kick their ass when I see them now. How can I be jealous of them!" Sharon thought.
"Why do you ask so?" Sharon retorted.
Nathan smiled. The previous Sharon was innocent, and Cliff was his boyfriend. Nathan had no idea if it would remind her of something in the past.
He knew that Sharon hated Cliff so much, especially Cliff planned to insult her last time. But each time Nathan thought of their relationship before, he would be a bit jealous of Cliff in his heart.
"Well, it's just a casual remark. How did they hook up together?
"Because Todd Group has no way to deal with its building materials, and he asked Evans Group for help."
Nathan looked at Sharon and sneered with confidence on his face.
"Evans Group has signed a contract with me. I don't believe Renata dares to use materials from Todd Group."
Sharon nodded, "You are right. Evans Group doesn't dare, and Cliff..."
Sharon told Nathan what she had seen and heard. Then she sighed again.
Nathan stretched out his hand and stroked Sharon's face. His deep eyes were shining as if they were filled with hope. Sharon looked at him and smiled softly, feeling a little relieved.
"Thank you. You always make me feel hopeful, even though now..."
"Don't worry. I can feel the pressure in your heart. Wait for a night, and I'll arrange for you to be responsible for the cooperation with Evans Group tomorrow."
Tomorrow? Sharon was shocked.
Evans Group? It used to be her home, the place she was felt at ease to stay. But she never imagined that things would go on like this one day.
Sharon nodded, holding Nathan's hand tightly. For a moment, she didn't know what she could say.
"Go to Evans Group and check up on their progress tomorrow. It's been a while since we signed the first contract."
"Okay."
Nathan looked at her had had a hint of complex feeling.
Sharon understood that it would be the first time she went back to Evans Group openly since she was expelled. But the difference was that she had a new identity.
Watching Sharon go silent, Nathan reached out and stroked her hair.
That gave Sharon a kind of invisible power. The worry was cleared away, and she instantly calmed down.
"I'm cooking for you. Have a rest."
"Okay."
"Go to Evans Group and check the progress tomorrow..." she wondered.
Sharon lay on the bed quietly and began to imagine the dramatic scenes that might happen tomorrow. She didn't know how things would go on...
"What? Check the progress tomorrow?"
Renata was taken aback by a call from Nathan's secretary Glenn.
She attached much importance to the cooperation with Genui Group, and the progress had been reported on time. Why would they inspect it?
Could it be that Nathan didn't believe in her, or did Genui Group mean something else?
"Ms. Evans, this is the rule of Genui Group. No matter who the partner is, we will conduct some follow-up inspections to avoid unnecessary and unpleasant things."
"I see. Please extend my greetings to Mr. Harris, and I will wait for you tomorrow."
Hanging up the phone, Renata froze for a moment. She then smiled slightly and looked pleased.
"I can see Nathan again tomorrow. I have to dress myself up.
No... I'd better know how things go on first.
Isn't it too shameless to ignore the work?
Of course not! I'm doing it for the interest of the whole company," Renata thought.
Nathan came out of the bathroom after taking a shower, and then he lay down next to Sharon.
"Are you asleep?"
The gentle voice sounded like flowing water, and it came to her ears. Sharon replied softly, "Yeah."
Nathan had a smile on his cold face. "What a lovely girl!" he thought.
"Oh? Can you hear me talking since you're asleep?"
Nathan's voice was full of somewhat tease.
"No,"
Sharon blurted out another word.
Lying on the side with her eyes closed, Sharon couldn't wait to stretch out her hand and slap her own mouth, which was uncontrolled by the brain.
"Oh, I see. So can I do whatever I want since you fall asleep?"
Saying that, he threw back the quilt and threw himself on her.
"What are you doing?"
Sharon looked at Nathan in surprise with her eyes widened.
This expression seemed to return to the time when Nathan first knew her.
Even if she was with the identity of Sophie, she was still Sharon in front of him, who was adorable and undisguised, especially her sincere eyes.
"Nothing. Are you sleepwalking now?"
Sharon nudged him and sighed softly.
"Come on! I was thinking about something just now, so I blurted out."
"What were you thinking?"
