Mirror Master

A reincarnation fanfiction with a Meta Essence. But this Essence is not a usual one. The MC has no control over what cheats he is given and thankfully, he is allowed to have a very strong one. He will start in ASOIAF and then travel through the Multiverse all with the power of Mirrors ... quite unusual indeed.

Yunkai

(Petyr POV)

It had been a while since we had sailed from King's Landing. I used the time to get more familiar with the small family of three. They were beyond scared of me in the beginning. That was good but also a bit annoying over time. The children were the first to open up to me. I offered them good food and sweets and they were convinced I was a good person. Elia didn't like that one bit and did everything to keep them away from me. It didn't work fully though.

After the days passed, Elia started to get more familiar with me. She asked me about small things, the state of King's Landing, which I could actually tell her and other things. I also asked her about her life and the things she experienced in King's Landing. After a while, her tongue loosened a bit and she started talking. The stress of the days and the fear she experienced were too much for her and she eventually broke down. I didn't go and confront her. I am not her father or her brother after all. But I sat with her and waited until she was done. Sometimes, you don't need to say anything and just listen. It seems that was the right decision. She was much calmer after that and didn't speak a word to anyone for two days.

And then, it felt as if she was a new person entirely. She most probably steeled her nerves for what was to come and changed her mindset. She knew that if she ever wanted to get back home, as in Dorne most probably, she would have to work for me and rise to the top. Little did she know, that she would already start at a very high position and only had to set up the organisation I wanted. I never planned to constrict her much. She could hide here and stay away from Westeros and help me at the same time. I am sure that in time she will see that it is in her best interest to do her best, for her and for her children.

Her children are another point I thought hard about. Theoretically, they had a claim to the throne, at least the little Aegon did. So keeping him around was not that smart politically speaking. And yet, I didn't care if he survived. It would be much simpler for me to control his growth this way and should he ever want to sit on the Iron Throne, he can do that for all I care. At the end of the day, I will always be there, since money is something every ruler needs, no matter his hair colour.

.

We have finally arrived in Yunkai. One of the cities in Slaver's Bay. I knew that I would bring Elia Martell and her children to Slaver's Bay, but not which of the three cities I would place them. And then the idiot Wise Master, Zozdiz mo Iqa, thought plotting against me was smart. The money they stole and the people they killed disappeared 'mysteriously' afterwards, but that's not what's important. The important part is that he thought to take something from me and that will not be tolerated. I will take everything he owns and give it to Elia Martell for her to use at her disclosure. He will not be killed and he will not be allowed to communicate outside unless Elia allows it. He will be under the command of a woman, a slave in all but name for her to use as she wished. She will hate that and curse me for the remainder of his days, but that won't matter.

"We're here," I say to Elia who has appeared behind me.

She stands next to me and looks at the port before going back under deck. I don't want others to associate her with me, since that would spell problems and I had enough of the headaches for a while. She will hide her features and her children will be sneaked into the mansion when I have everything under control. Everything has been prepared already. Elia and her children only have to take residence in the large mansion and change whatever they wish. The servants are mine and will not say anything. I will leave many hidden protectors for Elia and her children as long as they live here. I 'created' them and their outfits on my own. They are my clones and look like proper assassins.

I couldn't stop myself from doing that. I'm just enjoying myself too much for that.

I disembarked and started to walk through the crowd. Two guards were always following me around and giving me 'security'. I could feel the eyes on me already and knew something was wrong. There was tension in the air and I had a suspicion why that was. The Wise Master, Zozdiz mo Iqa has not been having a good time the last week. I rounded the corner and caught a peculiar sight. There a slaver was selling a young bed slave to the crowd.

The woman was gorgeous all things considered and he was claiming that she was still a virgin. The only strange thing was the place and time. I could clearly tell that the slaver was eying me out of everyone in the crowd that was placing bets and despite having many who wanted to buy the woman, he didn't accept it. Then there was the fact, that I knew who he worked for. He worked for another Wise Master in the city and that man as it would happen, was a good friend of Zozdiz mo Iqa.

I shake my head and walk passed the auction but the sweetest voice suddenly stops me in my tracks.

"Would you like to taste some of my wine, my Lord?"

I look to the side and see the bed slave holding a glass of wine in her hands. She expertly shows me all her assets without making it look forced. Despite having control over myself, I can't help but admit that she is truly a Fémme Fatale if I have ever seen one.

I am about to decline when I understand something. The feeling I have ...

I look her in the eyes and nod my head. She smiles and leads me to her tent where the slaver is waiting for us. He smiles as he sees me and rubs his hands together like a common letcher.

"Ah, you have taken an interest, my Lord. You have a very good eye, I can tell. So would you like some wine?" he asks me and fills the bed slave's cup who then proceeds to give it to me.

When I want to take it, she stops me and places the glass on my lips. It takes everything for me to not roll my eyes at the display. I take a gulp and then take the glass to drink all of the wine in one go.

After I do that, I close my eyes and wait. It should only take a moment to...

*Cough*

I cough and see blood on my hand. I knew it. I knew that something was up, but I didn't think that it would be poison ... especially not now.

"How bold of you. To do it now and not later," I say. The man on the other hand looks surprised, genuinely so and slowly backs away in fright. My guards have unsheathed their swords and are pointing it at the man ...

*Cough cough*

... before starting to cough as well. I watch as they start coughing their lungs out and then fall to the ground, dead. Impressive, since I don't know when they were poisoned. I can feel it as well. The poison is working fast and yet, I am not worried in the slightest. I turn to address the person who is responsible for this.

"A woman had a job."

"Indeed. You know I am glad that you approached me at this time. Your skills were the last ones missing in my *cough cough* repertoire."

"A man will die. No skills will help him now."

"Is that so?" I ask and then finally use my powers.

The Essence of the Mirror is more broken than I could have imagined. I use the ability to reflect the damage I received and instead of giving it back to the Faceless Man, disguised as a woman, I give it to the slaver. There is another bed slave in the room, who is even more beautiful than the one standing in front of me.

"A woman was right. The many-faced-go-"

"Shut the f*ck up. Your words bore me."

In the next moment, something extraordinary happens. Next to the Faceless Man appears his clone. The exact copy of him stands next to him. Before the Faceless Man can register what is happening, the Faceless Man/Woman Copy has already swung a dagger at him/her and cut his throat.

Blood spurts out of his throat and he falls on his knees. I approach him and hold up his chin to make him/her look in my eyes.

"Hm, that is a neat magic trick you use ... it will prove useful to me, thank you."

After that, he/she falls to the ground dead.

I wipe my hands with a cloth and then look at the final person in the tent who is still alive, besides the loyal Faceless Man clone. A younger bed slave girl, probably a bit older than I am and about to finish her 'training'. She looks at me with genuine fear but also tries to hide it and put up a brave front.

I think about what to do with her and then have an idea. Instead of killing her outright, I might have a use for her.

"What is your name?" I ask her.

"Marela ... my lord. Will you kill me?"

"It depends."

"On what, my lord?"

"Do you want to live?"

"...yes."

"Good. Then come with me. There is much for you to learn."

My business in Yunkai was finished rather quickly. The entire household of the Wise Master was cleaned of those who were a security risk or disloyal. I set up Elia Martell and her children with anything they might need for their endeavour.

I placed the hidden spies and assassins under her care and ordered them to protect her from any hidden danger. With the newly copied abilities of the Faceless Men, they could become anyone, since they were my clones. I also gave her about 100 Spartan soldiers who protected her and served as an intimidation factor.

The instructions for Elia were clear. She was to create an organisation made out of spies that would gather information and slowly spread through Yunkai and get rid of all opposition until I gained full control over the city. There was no chance for her to betray me since my clones were always around her and the Spartan soldiers were absolutely loyal to me.

I would still see what she would do and then take appropriate measures. If she proved loyal, I might allow her to go back home or send letters to her family. And when canon arrived, I might even allow her to go back home and pin all the blame on Varys. I would create some story that it was he who smuggled them out of the castle and whatnot. Yes, that would work fine. And what was he to say? That I was lying? He had no proof.

After explaining everything and staying for a few weeks, while going back and forth between Westeros and Yunkai, it was finally time for me to go back home. I was eager to see Baelish Keep and the land surrounding it. Also, I was summoned by Jon Arryn for what would surely be a political play on his part to 'constrict' my freedom or make full use of my 'talents'.
