Chapter-5

[Minato's POV]

Today I got discharged with a warning from the doctor to practice carefully after he checked my body. As it was already near sunset I decided to visit Kushina to ask her about her day and our training under Mito-sama. When I knocked on the door and called out her name, I heard a running sound and the door opened. A hand suddenly grabbed mine and dragged me inside.

"Where are you dragging me Kushina?"

I asked after seeing seeing Kushina who continued to drag me to her room without replying, we entered her room and she quickly closed the door and signaled me to be quiet, and spoke in a hushed way,

"Tsunade Onee-san is sleeping on the couch so try to not wake her up"

So Princess Tsunade is sleeping here huh? Well, it's no surprise after all this is also her house.

"So how was your day?" I asked as I sat on her bed while looking around her messy room. She saw my look and blushed with shame and sat next to me before slumping back on her bed.

"Nothing special happened. Some were trying to bully me again but that was all solved with a punch on their leader's face."

She said as I chuckled, Really those guys never learn.

"So no one asked why I was absent"

Suddenly she sat up and I swear I saw a dark aura surrounding her she looked at me and said in a cold tone,

"Some of your fangirls asked why were you absent but I just politely told them to mind their own business"

My brain didn't want to question why she did that after I saw the ominous aura so to change the subject I asked her why Mito-sama decided to train us.

"Why did Mito-sama want to teach us?"

It seems my strategy worked as the aura disappeared and she spoke with a smug tone.

"Well after seeing your accident I asked Mito Obaa-san to teach us"

So that's the reason

"Thanks for that," I said smiling and patted her head lightly as a gesture of appreciation.

She blushed so hard that her face became the same color as her hair. Suddenly we heard a knock on the door and heard Mito Sama's voice,

"Can I come in?"

"Yes!" We both answered at the same time.

Mito-Sama opened the door and looked at both of us with a kind smile on her face. She looked nothing like a sixty-year-old woman, maybe a technique, or it's that she's just built different. I greeted her,

"Good evening Mito-sama"

She greeted me back and asked,

"Good evening, How's your hand Minato-kun?"

I showed her my fully healed palms and told her,

"It's like there was never an injury Medical jutsu is really awesome"

She sat down on the chair and gestured for us to sit too,

"Kushina has already informed you about me training you both right?"

"Yes, and thank you very much for that Mito-sama"

"No need to thank me. Thank Kushina she was the one who asked me to train you along with her and after seeing your recent… activities I think that is for the best."

I smiled awkwardly while Kushina laughed at that, I still can't believe I am going to be taught by the wife of the First Hokage herself.

Kushina who had been silent till now asked,

"When will the training start Mito Obaa-san? Is it before or after school?"

"Hoho, you guys don't need to worry about going to school, I talked with the Hokage and got you both permission to stop going to school. You will be directly graduated when you are 11 years old"

"What!" "Yay!!" Both I and Kushina had very different reactions to it, even though the school is not teaching that much useful stuff currently but isn't this cheating?

"Do you think the school will teach you better than me? " She asked while looking at me.

Fearing to offend her I quickly replied,

"I didn't mean it that way Mito-sama! I was just shocked!"

Hearing me shout both of them started laughing and I blushed embarrassed at my outburst.

"Anyway, come tomorrow morning at 4:30 am to the backyard of this house," She said as he left the room leaving the two of us alone. We talked about the new sweet stall that had opened and I asked her to come with me there tomorrow after the training ends.

I exited the room as it was already late and I had to make dinner, after saying goodbye to Kushina. While leaving I saw Princess Tsunade-sama lying on the couch while drooling. I chuckled at that sight and made my way toward my home. I used lightning chakra to increase my speed.

I unlocked the door and entered my house, I turned on the lights and went to the bathroom to have a quick bath. After drying myself and putting on a new set of clothes I made my way to my kitchen. I checked and saw that there were no vegetables in my fridge so I cooked some instant cups of ramen to eat and after setting the alarm for 4 am I crashed on my bed and covered myself with my blue blanket. I was a little anxious about tomorrow's training, It wouldn't be that bad right?.

Fuck I can't move This is the most exhausted I've ever been in my life, I lay down on the grass while trying to catch my breath, and my whole body hurts Mito-sama's training was too much. Even for me, who trained daily this was way too much, I turned my head slightly to my left to see Kushina completing her today's task. She made us run 20 km in under an hour at a constant speed while marking us with a seal that sends a small shock when we use chakra to make it easier. The seal was simple, it was working on a simple principle. After finishing that she formed a ball of water and told me to hold on to the ball while maintaining its shape and sticking it to my body by controlling my chakra, just as I did that she made me do exercises while constantly controlling my chakra to prevent the ball from falling, If the water dropped I was punished to do extra 10 sets of each exercise and due to the exhaustion I lost my concentration many times and was punished each time.

Since Kushina didn't have that much control over her chakra she was told to perform a series of physical exercises like squats, high jumps, and tree climbing while only using one hand. After she completed that Mito-sama told her to perform [Leaf Sticking] exercise to have better control of her chakra.

We both were lying down on the grass while Mito-sama said,

"That's enough for today. You can spend the rest of the day however you want"

She left after saying that and I looked at Kushina who lay next to me while catching her breath. I honestly didn't expect her stamina to be this high. It seems like Uzumakis are really just built different. I said,

"I didn't expect it to be this hard"

"Me too" she replied her voice sounding exhausted

"I'm very tired and my whole body hurts," she said.

"Mine too, I have prepared breakfast for both of us. Do you want it?" I asked while getting up to get my bag which was under a tree. I opened the bag and took two lunch boxes that were inside that had the breakfast I had prepared this morning which was just rice balls.

I took them and went near Kushina and gave a box to her, thank Sage I prepared one for her. We slowly ate the food as we engaged in some small talk. Thankfully we didn't have to go to school. It would be hell if we had to go to school being this tired.

[3 Months Later]

April, Year 50

[3rd person's POV]

In the Senju compound's forest, we could see two children sparring with each other. One was a girl with bright red hair which was tied in a ponytail, and she had blue eyes. Her attacks were strong and her movement was fluid. The other was a boy with spiky blonde hair and bright blue eyes. His attacks were not as strong as the girl's but his movement was very agile and fast.

The girl noticed the boy's arm coming towards her left shoulder and ignored it while smirking, just as she expected the hand vanished like a illusion and she grabbed the boy's other hand which he aimed to punch her right shoulder and twisted the hand, and locked the boy in a position where she was behind him and pointed her other hand to his throat.

"The trick won't work on me from now, Minato"

She said to Minato in a smug way,

"This is the only time you countered it and the fight's still not over Kushina"

Minato said while his body popped and released some smoke signifying that it was a shadow clone, a jutsu which was taught to both of them by Mito to increase their learning speed by exploiting the jutsu. Kushina with her chakra reserves could easily make 70 clones while Minato could only make 4 with ease which was a great achievement as it was a very hard feat for a civilian kid.

The smoke covered Kushina, sabotaging her vision. She tried to sense him around but he was hiding himself well. Not sensing him Kushina performed a series of hand seals and blew a strong current of air which cleared the smoke. Just as the smoke cleared she felt some force push her to the ground face first and felt a weight sitting on her back while locking both her hands and pressing the behind of her neck with her other hand.

"Minato Wins"

Announced Mito who stood there and acted as a referee for their spar.

"Now our record is 21-4 in my favor", Said Minato while releasing her from the lock and offering his hand to lift her up. Kushina, as the Tsundere she is, hmphed and slapped his hand away while pouting, earning laughs from Mito and Minato.

"Learn from the experience Kushina, don't be sad about losing," Mito said while patting Kushina's shoulders

Consoling her.

"And from tomorrow you can start using all the other jutsus you know instead of the non-attack ones. Now take the rest of the day as rest and do what you wish." She said as she disappeared with a body flicker.

"It looks really cool, right Minato?" said Kushina while punching Minato's shoulders.

"Yeah I will definitely learn something cooler than this in the future," Minato said as he started walking toward their usual eating spot, Ichiraku ramen. The ramen it served was really delicious and the shopkeeper was really kind. Kushina was absolutely addicted to the shop's ramen and would often drag him there while they were hanging out.

The past 3 months were really tough for them. When it came to training the usually kind and caring Mito turned into a demon, She made them push their body to the extreme limit while their Minato's chakra control was as good as a chunin. Mito taught them various jutsus of their affinities. She made them learn one of the forbidden jutsu, Shadow clone Jutsu to increase the speed of their learning.

Minato learned two lightning-style jutsus which were, [Thunder clap] and [Lightning Flow], one fire-style jutsu which was, [Fire ball Jutsu ], and one wind-style jutsu which was, [Great Wind Jutsu].

Kushina learned two earth-style jutsus which were, [Mud Wall] and [Swamp Trap], and two water-style jutsus, [Water Wall] and [Water Bullets].
