Understood, Doll Face?

After an hour, it didn't take long for Jean to receive multiple calls from the employees at Mimi's company complaining about Emilia. It appeared everything they had assigned her to do returned damaged and incomplete.

As Jean explained the damage that was done because of Emilia, she cautiously glanced up at Mimi who expressed a slight twitch in the corner of her lips.

That girl...who knew she'd damage so much.

Majority of the files that were handed to Emilia were heavily damaged and beyond repair, and some were torn into pieces. From Jean's words, the employees were beyond furious and annoyed by the girl's work.

A quiet and calm expression overtook Mimi's face as she stood up from her desk and walked out of her office. Jean, confused by Mimi's silence, follows the girl out.

It was time to make an appearance.

...

"Look at this! I asked you to do some simple copying of these papers, and you hand me back this? They're all completely ruined!!" The man held a stack of papers in his hands coated in ink.

Emilia's expression flushed red with rage.

Never in her life had someone spoken to her this way! What made it even worse was that he was actually blaming her for a task she believed he could do by himself.

"If you have so much time to scold me then you could have done it yourself!"

Even if he was an adult man, to be refuted by such a young girl... He couldn't help but feel beyond irritated. Anyone in his situation would.

"I have a job and so do you. Your job is to help those around you with simple tasks." The man explained irritably. "Your lack of work doesn't just affect you, but it also affects us!"

Emilia, not understanding his reasons, huffs. All she knew from his tone and lecturing words was that he was blaming and looking down on her!

"Hmph! How can I do my job when I wasn't even taught how to do it properly?"

"Oh really?"

The sound of a gentle and low voice interrupted the two's conversation. Upon heeding their voice, Emilia's heart pounded loudly, and she suddenly felt her body tense. Emilia turned to the familiar voice to identify the face she had thought of ever since that night.

"A...Andras."

"You say my Jean didn't teach you properly?" Mimi's brows raised, her steps slowly walking in Emilia's direction.

"I..." Emilia was at a loss for words, unaware of how to respond. When around the young man she couldn't help but feel flustered.

"Hmm?" Mimi tilted her head coolly.

Still unable to express anything, Emilia stares at Mimi with a flushed and dazed expression. Ignoring Emilia's flustered appearance, Mimi shifts her gaze in the male employee's direction.

"Those files, I had them backed up and copied for you."

Jean, standing behind Mimi passes the man a new and clean pile of papers. The man stares at the papers with a dumbfounded and bright expression.

"I know there were some setbacks, but I still expect you to turn this in according to the deadline. No excuses."

"Of course! Thank you, boss. I won't let you down!"

Revealing a light smile, Mimi nods her head. "En. Now get back to work."

Without hesitation, the male employee nods his head in gratification before rushing away to get back to work. After he had left, Mimi turned to look at Emilia, quietly observing her expression.

"Ms. Yimo, a pleasure to meet you again."

"Andras...I..."

There was so much she wanted to say. So much she planned to say when she saw him again. Yet here he was in front of her again and not even a proper sentence could come out from her mouth.

However, lost in her flustered thoughts, Emilia hadn't noticed the chill in Mimi's smiles.

"Ms. Yimo, I have to say I was surprised when your father reached out to me. But I was even more surprised to know that his daughter agreed to work for me. From this, I expected to see you working diligently." Mimi starts with an impassive smile. "But instead, during an important meeting, I'm informed my employee's work was damaged, causing them to be unable to complete their work."

Emilia choked on the words she was going to say and stared at Mimi wide-eyed. How come this wasn't what she expected for him to say after their reunited meeting?

The previous scene she pictured in her mind was shattered upon hearing his words of disappointment.

"If I remember correctly, while I was busy I asked my assistant Jean to show you around the area and explain your job. That included how to use the copier."

Feeling wronged, Emilia speaks up.

"Andras, to be honest, I didn't want to say anything before but I don't think she explained anything right. The entire time I was confused and at a loss of what to do. As a first timer, I believe she should have gone easier."

Emilia glanced at Jean with a pitiful and wronged expression. The look in her light silver eyes was pressuring as if she was urging Jean to support her.

Jean, standing on the side felt her eyebrows twitch. Why did she make it seem like it was her fault? If anything, during her explanations Emilia was hardly paying attention, and spent most of her time curling her hair and incessantly checking her appearance.

Mimi continues to stare at Emilia with an impassive expression, seemingly not minding her words.

"I see. Did you ask any questions during her explanations?"

From her straightforward question, Emilia stumbled, her pitiful expression slightly faltering.

"I...I didn't. But that's because I didn't think she was a good teacher! Her way of explaining things was too difficult! If Mr. Andras were to instruct me, I'm certain I'd do everything right!"

Mimi, examining Emilia's pitiful expression arches her brows. Slowly a dark glint flashes in her eyes, as a smile spreads across her lips.

"Oh? I'm flattered you believe I'd advise you better, however, as Jean said I had some business to take care of this morning. I apologize I wasn't able to greet you upon your arrival." Mimi said gently causing Emilia to blush.

"However..." Lazily, a smile spreads on her rosy lips. "Even without my striking presence there, you still should have tried your best to pay attention for me. Otherwise, I don't require someone who only pays attention when they want to work and disrupt my company."

With a smug expression, Mimi tilts her head. "Understood, doll face?"
