chapter eight

The journey to fort was made on high speed because the vampires wanted to outrun the werewolves. Luck was on their side and they made it just in time,jai saw diego and his army standing infront of the huge gatesof fort.

"get ready guys dont let anyone get into fort"diego said getting ready. His eyes had become dark and the atmosphere was getting darker, jai grinned and yelled "attack"

the werewolves ran to the vampires and soon the fight begun. Diego used his fingers to seperate the head of a wolf from its body,jai wanted to get to diego he had always wanted him dead

and he started killing the vampires who were coming towards him, he killed one of diego's soldier and threw his body into the bushes.

Diego lost it when he saw jai killing one of his soldier he charged towards him he leapt into the air and slashed hom with his fingernails he almost cut off jai's arm.

jai saw his hand and got angry he turned into a werewolf and he bit diego's arm and almost cut it off but mike arrived just in time and stabbed jai and he let go of diego's arm.

Jai kicked mike and he flew off him,jai saw that he was defenceless so he ran away. Diego was still on the floor trying to catch his breath tony rushed to his side "diego look at your hands"

"it fine it will heal"as they were talking walter and his soldiers arrived they saw bodies of werewolves and soldiers sprawled on the floor then walter saw diego and he went to him, he was shocked when he saw diego's arm

" diego what happened here who did this to you"he asked examining the hand.

"it was jai and his army dont worry it will heal" he said and got up from the floor.

"are you sure"walter said looking worried.

"yes ophelia is all alone and i fear jai will attack versuvius i have to go

"if you insist send my greetings to phelia"walter said .

"i will dont worry"diego said

"tony,mike,and others let's go"he said and they leapt up from tree to tree.

When they got to versuvius he told mike and tony that he wanted to go somewhere and if ophelia asked they shouldnt tell her about what happened they nodded and entered the city.

Ophelia had finished taking her bath and she had waited for hours but diego didnt come to disturb "this is weird he doesnt stay away from me hmm" she waites for him but she didnt see him.

She began to miss him "i know i dont like him but i do miss all his taunting who will i ask about his whereabouts?

maria come here",she called out to her

maria entered the room"yes my princess you called me

"uhmm have you seen the prince"ophelia asked.

"no my princess i havent but you can ask tony and mike they might know"maria replied.

"true please tell tony and mike i want to see them now"ophelia said and maria left to go and call them.

Maria returned with tony and mike and they greeted ophelia "my princess what happened i see you requested our audience"mike said

"yes i did i cant find my husband where is he"she asked, she couldnt believe she had referred to him as her husband she guessed she was missing him alot.

"my princess we would be lying to you if we said we know where he is",tony replied.

ophelia looked worried where could diego be, "ok thank you,you may leave"she said and they bowed and left the room

It was already night and ophelia was sitting close to the window there was light all over the city that was vampires awake at night asleep at day.

ophelia heard a knock on the door and she was hoping it was diego but instead it was rimona she suddenly became angry.

"what do you want"ophelia said almost shouting,rimona sat on the bed and beckoned to ophelia to come closer but ophelia didnt move. "i asked you what you are doing here

"daughter please come and sit down let's talk i am your mother in_law"rimona said smiling.

"i dont think so please leave my room or else i will report you to my husband"ophelia warned.

Rimona became scared she knew what diego was capable of doing "there is no need for that i'll take my leave" she said and hurriedly left. ophelia closed the windows and slept off she didnt even eat dinner because all she cared about now was diego.
