Gifts

A/N

Had to do a ton of editing, the chapter has changed a lot. Had to remove the old post.

*Bang*

Neito fell freely and landed gracefully. With great control over OFA, he could do safe landings like this very easily.

"New order, cancel my invisibility."

After coming down from the building, Neito cancelled his latest order, which made him visible again.

Putting his hands in his pocket, he started walking aimlessly. Neito didn't have a destination; he just wanted to enjoy the environment.

After many years he was back in his hometown, and he wanted to experience the atmosphere around here.

'Law and order is good. This is the work of All Might.'

Neito thought casually. He was walking slowly, admiring the citizens and the buildings. This was a great neighborhood.

*Step*

*Step*

Without even noticing, Neito had somehow approached the shopping district.

He was standing before a gift shop, wondering if he should enter it.

"I haven't seen mom and dad in years; should I buy some gifts for them?"

Neito scratched his chin. He had returned from abroad hastily. He didn't have time to tell his parents, that he was back.

He was wondering, that instead of going home casually, should he buy some gifts first?

"I know what to get for mom and dad, but what do I give my younger brother?"

"I have never met him. He was born when I was abroad. I don't even know what he likes."

Neito stressfully rubbed his hair; he had no idea what his brother liked or what his personality was like.

"I should buy him something good regardless. I want to have a good relationship with him."

Neito felt that he should build a good bond with his brother. It was important that they understand each other.

The MHA story was basically about two brothers, trying to kill each other. He doesn't want his brother to do the same!

Especially because Neito was, in many ways, a better version of All for One.

"My copy quirk is a lot like AFO. I am pretty much the next generation of AFO, his superior version."

"That's why, I don't want my brother to become the next generation of OFA."

"I don't need a new OFA user wanting me dead all day long."

Neito shuddered thinking about such a situation. He must build a good bond with his younger brother. It was very important.

And if possible, he will make his brother a partner in crime—ugh, a partner in heroism. That's right.

"But the question remains: what should I give him?"

"Should I ask mom and dad? But that will ruin the surprise that I am back."

Neito sighed; it was such a drag. It would be great if there was a qurik that could help him decide.

Neito paused. He actually did have a quirk that could technically help him choose a suitable gift.

"New order can do anything, as long as I issue an order."

"Can it help me choose the correct gift then? Theoretically, it's possible."

Neito smirked. This was a great idea. But because nobody had used new order like this yet, Neito didn't know how it would work.

"New order either works on it's user, or on the environment."

"If I ask new order for a gift suggestion, I will either know the answer directly, or the world will somehow tell me the answer."

"Maybe a sheet of paper will fall on my face, with the right gift written on it."

"Or maybe a salesman will randomly tell me what I should buy. Anything is possible."

Neito shook his head; this randomness was bad news. He had the high spec quirk, he understood that this was totally risky.

It's fine if new order gives the answer directly to his mind, but if it affects the environment to give him a response, anything can happen.

'Technically, a villain could attack right now, and his shirt will spell out what I am supposed to buy.'

'The randomness is risky.'

Neito scrunched up his eyebrows. The risks were great, but he was pretty strong. If something bad happens, he can handle it.

Probably.

"New order; I will know what I should buy for my brother."

Neito held his breath, hoping he would get an answer telepathically. But after a few seconds, he didn't get a response.

"Shit, the world will give me an answer then."

"Hopefully, it's not a villain attack."

Neito waited with rapt attention; his eyes were searching everywhere for problems. Minutes passed, but everything was normal.

At this point, Neito was getting impatient. He wanted an answer quickly, so he could get going already.

*Boom*

Neito paused. He looked back at the gift shop. A shark-looking villain had destroyed the shop, and was holding two people hostage.

A girl and a middle-aged man.

"Don't move and don't call the heroes, or they will get it!"

The shark villain threatened everyone; he looked pretty scared, like he didn't have an attack plan.

It looked like he had decided to attack randomly.

And that was true; the shark villain wasn't going to attack a gift shop. He was planning to loot a bank next Saturday.

'What the hell? Why did I suddenly think it was good idea to attack this small shop?'

The shark villain was cursing himself. He was minding his own business, then suddenly had an impulse to loot this shop.

He regretted his impulsive behavior, but he was already in knee deep shit. He thought he might as well get some money out of it.

"Shark man, I apologize."

The shark's eyes shrank; he was shocked. Someone had approached him without him realizing it.

He quickly looked down and saw a blond boy, helplessly rubbing his hair. The shark didn't understand why the boy was apologizing to him.

"Go away!"

He didn't want to think about it either; he decided to kick this boy away.

*Thump*

But after kicking the boy, he felt a bit desperate. The boy didn't dodge; he stood there and tanked his kick.

The shark villain had a strong mutant-type quirk; he knew how deadly his kicks were. And this boy was not hurt after taking it to his face.

"You kicked me with the intent to kill. Now it's even between us."

"I don't have to feel bad about doing this to you."

Neito smiled softly. He was apologizing before, because he knew the shark man's impulsive behavior was due to new order.

But after the shark villain decided to kill him, Neito had no concerns about taking him down anymore.

"Feel bad for what? GAAAH!"

The shark's eyes bulged. He looked down shakily, and he saw something outrageous.

Neito had punched him. And he had punched him so hard that he felt his stomach touch his spine.

The shark had to drop his hostages, and curl up on the ground. The guy was panting from pain.

"Who are you? You hit like All Might."

Shark Guy muttered softly before losing consciousness. And the crowd who watched all of this happen, burst into cheers.

"Wow! Did you look at that punch? It was so cool!"

"Yeah, the villain said that guy hits like All Might!"

"Did you notice he is blonde as well? Is he related to All Might?"

The crowd began chattering loudly. But Neito had no time to care about them.

Because he had defeated the villain, he still didn't know what to get his brother! Neito still didn't have an answer to his question.

He was now wondering, if another villain attack was coming, and then he would get an answer.

"Thank you, young man."

But he had to stop looking for a villain, when one of the hostages thanked him. The middle-aged man he had just saved was thanking him.

Nieto looked down and smiled gently. He opened his mouth to say it's okay.

"Do you want to buy UA merchandise, young man?"

But the middle-aged man followed his business habit, and subconsciously started selling some stuff.

The man was the gift shop's owner, and for some reason, he felt like recommending UA merchandise to his savior.

He felt really stupid after saying this to his savior's face though, and was about to apologize.

But Neito laughed happily. After the man spoke, new order had deactivated. Which means this was the answer he was looking for.

His brother wanted UA merchandise.

"UA merchandise. That's what I was supposed to buy for my brother."

"Yes, Mr. Owner, I will buy your UA merchandise."

Neito agreed happily.

"Seriously? Aah, It's okay; you can take it for free. You saved me after all."

The owner got up quickly and ran back to his shop. Neito wanted to say he would pay for it.

But the owner ran away too quickly.

"He left.."

"Then, what am I supposed to do with her?"

Neito stopped looking at the shop, and he gazed at the second hostage he had saved. This was a girl around his age.

And currently, she was lying unconscious on the floor.

"Wait a second. She has yellow horns and pink skin."

"This is Mina, isn't she?"

Sato widened his eyes; he didn't think he would meet a story character here.

Mina Ashido, class 1A student at UA. His future classmate.
