Aiden had been melancholy and not his usual joyful self. He had been upstairs in his room trying to sleep. Once again, he dozed off and his reoccurring dream began to play out. Aiden awoke from a couch in what looked to be a waiting room at the hospital. He strode down the hall while watching the busy doctors and nurses work. He came to the door of the room that he was on his way to enter. He put his hand on the door and pushed it open, but before he could see any further, he woke up. He collected himself and went downstairs.
His grandparents took notice of Aiden who had been sitting in the recliner in the living room watching the weather channel for three hours without a word said. His grandmother walked in and stood next to him as he continued to stare at the television. “What is it?” Aiden said in a sarcastic voice.
