Chapter 9 - Flashback

After the class, I went out, and there I was astounded when I saw Gong-Li standing next to a book shop.

I was glad to see him,

"Kistein,"

"Gong li!" I cried.

"I'm sorry Kirstein, I didn't tell you right away that I dropped out,"

"But why?"

"I'm leaving,"

"Where are you going?"

"I can't say, but don't worry, we'll meet again, okay?"

"But, you're my only friend, how can I go in school if you are not there? Please don't go!" I cried.

"Be brave, don't give up on them, you need to finish your studies, don't give up,"

"But what about me, you're my only strength when I'm at school,"

"You have to get used to me not having Kirstein,"

"But Gong-li," I cried.

"I'm sorry Kirstein, I'm leaving, we'll still meet again, you still my friend," Gong-li said and he turned around.

I did nothing, and I was saddened by his departure. After a few months, I met Jung-moon in Minsyu Park.

FLASHBACK ENDED

"Is it beautiful there in Korea?" Mabel asked.

"Yes, it's so beautiful! I miss to go there," I replied.

"What about your classmates? Are they good?"

When Mabel asked me about that, I didn't answered immediately, but when I remembered Gong-Li, I smiled. "Yes, they all good to me, especially my one and only friend in the class, his name is Gong-Li," I replied with a soft grinned.

"Oh really? Do you still have a contact with him?"

"No, he went somewhere, but I believe that we will meet each other again,"

Then Alison started to speak.

"You know Kirstein, it's better if you don't go back there, because you look matured. Maybe you're too homesick there, right?" Said Alison.

"Really, have I look matured?" I frowned.

"Yes, you looked like our former maid in the province. We have a maid, you really look like her, I suddenly remember her because of you!" Alison said, and she chuckled.

"Are you sure Alison, up in your province Kirstein has look alike?!" Mabel laughed. "She is also has a white complexion, it's just that she's old," Alison said. There she goes again. That's one of Alison's habits, for being criticized me. She just has that habit, but I consider her my best friend, because she was my only friend way back before.

Alison ordered food and we happily talked, but Mabel and Alison were the only ones who never ran out of stories with each other. I just stared at them as I listened to them talking, until they talked about boyfriends.

"Let's talk about boyfriends, okay!" Alison giggled.

"Boyfriend? I'm about to break him, and I'll look for a new one!" Mabel giggles.

"Well, but do you know what my ideal boyfriend is?" said Alison with twinkles in her eyes.

"Okay, then what?" Mabel asked.

"I want to have a Korean boyfriend! Like the ones I watch in k-dramas and k-pop stars, but I don't see any Korean guys here," Alison said.

"Oh, I also want to experience a Korean boyfriend like k-pop!" Mabel upbeat.

"Well, what about you Kirstein? Do you already have a boyfriend?" Mabel asked me. I felt sad when I remembered Jung-moon again.

"Kirstein are you okay?" Alison asked, as she notices my emotions have changed.

"Oh, I'm fine, I'm just remembered someone,"

"So, do you have a boyfriend?" Alison asked.

"Yes, I have a boyfriend, but he was gone now," I sadly said.

"Is it dead?"

"No, he just lost," I replied.

"So, that means you don't have a boyfriend, right now?" she asked.

"Hmm, as long as it's for me, even if we don't see each other anymore, he's still my boyfriend, we don't have a formal break up, he was just missing, he is lost, but he is always here in my heart and in my mind," I replied.

"Why don't you see each other anymore? Maybe he cheated you for someone else?" Mabel said. "No, he will not do that to me, because I know he loves me very much,"

"If he loves you, where is he?" said Alison as she crossed her arms around her chest.

"I don't know, he suddenly didn't come to our meeting place at the park in Seoul Korea,"

"Is he from Korea?" Alison said incredulously.

"Yes, because he is Korean,"

"Oh really! We are just talking about Korean guys here, then your boyfriend suddenly became Korean right away!" Alison scoffed and she chuckled. Just like before, she used to be like that, I just kept quiet.

"Well, okay then, go ahead, tell us more about your boyfriend, why isn't he showing at you anymore, how long have you been together before?" Mabel asked.
