Chapter 23 - Strange Snack

"Alas, we didn't see it, because it was Alison!" Mabel said regretfully.

"What are you, it's just fake, I don't want to see a fake dragon I hate," said Alison.

"And why do you say fake!" Gong-Li said suddenly.

"There is no dragon in this world, it's just a myth, isn't it?" Said Alison.

"But, it looks real!" I answer.

"There's a real dragon!" Gong-Li replied.

"Huh?" We exclaimed in unison.

How did that happen? I mean, is that dragon is real? " Mabel said.

"The dragon that appeared is a replica of the real dragon!" Gong-Li said.

"So, where is the real dragon?"

"Well, you'll know when you're a member," Gong-Li said.

"Oh come on! There are a lot of secrets here, and you will only know when you ended up a member," said Alison with blended annoyance. "That's the run of the club!" Gong-Li said emphatically.

We sat down again, before long after, there were beautiful waitresses and waiters coming out of a door, they were carrying a unusual kind of nourishment that was not in the banquet served on one side. One by one we were given a dish with just an unsual snack.

The cake is dragon molded and it sparkling shine, and beside it, there was a chocolate in a shape of a tree, and its branches are moving. We were amazed at what we saw.

"This is incredible!" Mabel exclaimed. When I looked at the chocolate that shape of a tree, I gazed at it carefully, as if I remember what Jung-moon told me some time before. "That tree called Hansun, it will only grow if a royal blood will plant it with their true love, if its not true love it won't grow," Jung-moon told me as he showed me the tree of Hansun when we were at Minsyu park. "You mean, this kind of tree can only be planted by a royal blood?" I asked him.

"Yes, but, with true love," he replied. "So, nobody can't plant it, but the royal blood?" I asked.

"Yes,"

"What if I found a seed of it, and I plant it?" I asked.

"You may plant it, but it won't develop into a massive tree, it will grow as a small plant, not a tree," Jung-moon replied.

"But why?"

"That's the mystery!"

"So any royal blood can plant it?"

"Yes, but with their true love,"

"What if it won't grow?"

"That implies, the royal blood's partner is not their true love, so, before a royal family will get married, they ought to plant the Hansun seed first, if it grows, meaning, their love to each other is real," "So if it won't grow, their love is not real?"

"Yes, their love is not meant to be,"

"So, they will not proceed their marriage?"

"Absolutely, that is the biggest test!" Jung-moon said.

I will never forget his expression while he was saying it to me.

They noticed me that I am in profound thinking.

"Hey, are you okay?" Mabel told me as she tapped my shoulder.

"I'm ok," I replied.

"Kirstein, do you know what tree is that?" Gong-Li ask me.

"Yes, this is the Hansun tree, right?" I answered.

Alison abruptly chimed in.

"How will you know that? It would be ideal if you don't say anything, because you didn't know anything," Alison scoffed. Gong-Li suddenly speak that makes Alison stunned.

"Kirstein is right, that chocolate is based on a Hansun tree," Gong-Li said.

"Hmm, I don't care, its just a tree anyway," Alison said as she crossed her arms.

"That tree is valuable for royal blood in Sounth Korea," Gong-Li said.

"Yes, I know about it," I said, and then Mabel chimed in.

"Really?"

"Yes, you can only find it in South Korea, and it's rare, because only the royal blood can plant it with their true love," Gong-Li said. "So they made a cake like this because it's rare?"

Mabel asked. "Yes, you can only see it in pictures, it's plants only grew in the kingdom and into secluded places," Gong-Li said,

"But I saw like that in Minsyu park? And it was a massive tree?" I stated.

"Yes, there's a Hansun tree in Minsyu park, a royal couple plant it before their marriage, and fortunately it became a tree," Gong-Li said.

"And if not, they will not allow to get married, right?" I said.

"You are right," Gong-Li said.

Alison felt envy when she found out that I know about it.

She promptly change the topic.

"Anyway, how can we eat this? It's still moving? " said Alison.

"Eat up," Gong-Li said.

I just smiled and grabbed the fork and table knife, and started slicing the cake. And as I cut it, I was so amazed and I seemed to be dreaming. "This is amazing!" Amazed I said as I sliced the cake,

There was a filling coming out, and it smoked as it lit up, the smoke was cold and it was very fragrant. And I slowly put it in my mouth, and I really enjoyed it.

"Only now have I tasted such a delicious cake! Nothing is as delicious!" I exclaimed,

Mabel grinned and started eating, Alison followed.

Like me they also enjoyed it. "This is so good! So delicious! " Mabel said cheerfully.

As we eat, we ask Gong-Li some questions.
