.......Quotes.......

Before her body could fall to the ground he reached her taking some large steps his hands circled her small and slender waist breaking her fall. He looked at her delicate features and purred in contentment.

He held her so carefully that anyone who saw him now would receive the shock of a lifetime. His hold around her was firm but also very tender. He was afraid if he added any more strength he might hurt her.

Looking at her in his arms, the feel of it was indescribable. He has never been as happy as he is at the moment, though he was mad at what they had done to her but that he will take care of it later. Though the blood on her clothes and body made his nose crunch and made her look dirty, she was still the most beautiful creature he has ever seen.

He finally has his one after so many years of his long life. He could finally touch her and hold her in his arms. He lifted her off the ground and into his embrace. Though this was not how he wanted to meet his mate it was better than not finding her at all and he was grateful to the moon Goddess for sending her to him.

"Mine," he whispered into her ear. "I found you at last." he continued while hugging her. He then saw the wounds and cuts on her body and his eyes flickered, his green eyes turned pitch black as he stared at them making a silent vow to teach a lesson to the mastermind behind her attack.

He carried her outside when he heard the sound of a car coming to a stop. He knew it was his beta and gamma who have just arrived. He stood by the doorway and waited for them to bring an umbrella because it was still raining and he didn't want his mate soaked and getting a fever when she was in a bad state.

Inside the car, Raal and Kevin were thunderstruck seeing the king standing naked and holding an unconscious human girl in his arms and not looking bothered at all.

Was that the same Alexander Ragnar, the man who was always so cold and indifferent to everyone? If so then, why was he carrying an unconscious teenager? A human at that.

They were not sure if he was doing what he was doing willingly or if he was under some spell. Thinking that way their eyes darted to the girl he was holding. Though it sounded absurd, the latter sounded much more reasonable and believable than the one before even though the girl was just a human and nothing special but knowing that Alex would never turn to look at anyone even on their deathbed not to mention a human.

Snapping out of their thoughts, they both stepped out and approached him. Kevin opened an umbrella while Raal handed a pair of pants to him. They knew he would need them when he shifts back so they went to get some clothes on their way here.

Alexander looked at the clothes and then looked at Lillie in his arms. If he wants to wear those pants then he will have to let go of Lillie which was something both he and his wolf didn't want to do. But he has to put something on to cover his nude-ness from the eyes of others. Left with no other choice, he handed Lillie to Raal and took the pants to wear but not before he shot a warning glare to his beta and gamma.

Raal held the girl as carefully as possible. He didn't know who she was to their alpha, but she seems important to him for her to be able to make him get so possessive over her. He stared at her face trying to memorize every detail about her face so that he could recognize her if she ever went missing they will have to find her.

Alex took her back from him immediately after he was done wearing his clothes. "Go inside and clean up the mess. And take the woman to the mortuary. " He said making them look at what was inside.

Sniffing the air, they rub their nose with the back of their hands as the metallic stench of blood hit their nostrils. They were so distracted by Alex that they did not notice the chaotic scene inside the house.

Taking in the scene, they spotted the body of a woman lying on the ground they assumed she must be related to the girl in Alex's arms.

"Shouldn't we bury her at once, alpha?" Kevin asked. He didn't see any reason why they could not do that. They could just dig up some hole somewhere and throw her inside and cover it up. Taking dead bodies to the mortuary was a human thing and was very much unnecessary.

"No. She needs to say a proper farewell to her." Alex said while gesturing to the girl in his arms.

"Understood, alpha," Real said before Kevin say anymore.

They so badly wanted to ask who the girl was to him but they refrained from asking. Remembering his bad mood from earlier they didn't want him to return to that state again being the usual Alex is hard enough to deal with.

Obediently, they both went inside and did as he asked them to do while Alex drive away with Lillie and headed to the hospital. He needed to have her wounds treated so they don't get infected. By the time he got to the hospital, they were nurses already waiting for him with a stretcher.

Earlier, as soon as Alex left with Lillie, Raal contacted the hospital and informed them of his coming. Most of the people from the hospital didn't know what he looked like but they were given the details of the car he was driving so when the car entered the hospital driveway, they knew it was him. The man that they have been waiting for.

He stepped out of the car and looked around and saw the raw of nurses standing there and waiting for him but no one moved to help him and he did not bother with them as he opened the back door to carry Lillie.

The nurses were too stunned to react in time. The man before them looked divine. They have never seen any man more handsome than him and that left them paralyzed and their feet glued to the ground. They only woke from their trance when they saw carrying out a girl from the car. Realizing their mistake, they rushed to him to help him but he ignored them completely.

He walked past them as if they were nothing. He scanned the place and did not whom he was looking for. "Where is the head doctor," he asked, his voice coming out cold and domineering sending chills down their spines.

Who was this man? They could only ask themselves this.

Earlier, the head doctor had told them that an important figure was coming to the hospital and they should wait outside to receive him but they were not given a name. They were expecting someone celebrity or a popular business tycoon that they usually saw on television and in magazines but the man before them was completely unknown to them. All that they could see was an extremely gorgeous man standing before them.

No one could answer his question even though the question was quite simple, they didn't know how to answer. Alex was about to repeat his question when a more aged man came running and calling out to him.

"Me Ragnar!" the doctor called.

The moment they heard his name a loud gasp was heard from the people around as the women looked at him with dreamy eyes suddenly feeling jealous of the girl in his arms.

Everyone has heard of him. He was richer than anyone they could think of. He was the mysterious CEO of Ragnar industries who rarely appears in public or it's better to say that he never shows up in public and completely disregards public opinion as he runs his businesses behind his assistants, Mr. Wilder and Mr. Grey.

Alex looked at the scene with boredom in his eyes. He couldn't care less. All he cared about was his mate who was in his arms and these people are delaying things and making her health worse with every passing minute yet they call themselves doctors and nurses.

"I am sorry for my lateness, I was...." the doctor began but he was rudely cut off mid-sentence by Alex.

"Don't bother making up excuses, lead the way," Alex said with impatience in his voice and turned and started walking inside the hospital.

The doctor could only run once again in other to catch up to him.

Alex was really mad at the doctor, he was told beforehand of his coming with a patient try he dared to show up late when his mate's life was in danger. And to top all, he was going to some excuses. He will deal with him some other time, for now, his mate's life was more important.
