Finally, I can put it on the shelf. 289,000 words written, in an environment where one can do so after just 200,000 words, so if it took me this long, it means the data wasn't very good. But I expected this, because the protagonist of this story doesn't cater to public taste.

However, there's no need to worry about me abandoning the book, because I've grown used to failing. Plus, this is already my fourth book, with a total of 6 million words. My last book didn't even average 500, and I didn't even manage to win the full attendance award, despite writing 1.2 million words. But if I have stories to tell, then I will write them, and if I can make money, then that's a bonus—if not, I will just have to tighten my belt a bit.
