I’m awake and the sun isn’t even up yet. Somehow Jasper is standing in my kitchen with a giant smile on his face and a pep in his step. How is he able to be so alive this early in the morning?
I made myself a gigantic cup of iced coffee because we don’t have the time to stop on the way.
Today is war.
Black Friday will forever be considered my worst nightmare.
“Let’s do this! I have all the riot gear in the car,” Jasper joked.
Black Friday is one of the most important and traumatizing days of my life. Even more traumatizing than when my first foster mom made me clean her bathroom with a toothbrush. She would intentionally step on my hands when she was inspecting my cleaning.
The kids and I have always had the best Christmas’ together. Eric and Clarice would go out of their way to make it perfect for each kid. Impeccably designed presents both bought and made by hand.
