Two

I wake up as usual except this time if I'm in a house. It's a new start in my life. I went to take a shower and brush my teeth . After, I go downstairs and see that Rose has already cooked breakfast and is waiting for me to eat.

" Good morning Ava, did you sleep well last night?" said Rose while opening the window.

"Yeah." I said before getting back to my room and putting my clothes on. I just took a white shirt and a black trouser that I found before I went to have breakfast with Rose and Louise.

" Now that we have all had breakfast it's time to go out and buy some clothes for Ava" say Rose

Rose goes to get her bag and then the three of us go into town, every time we pass a food shop I stop at Rose just to taste what's there, there's a lot of stuff I've never seen before. We arrived at a children's clothes shop after 1 hour.

"Well this is it, we're going in" say Rose

We go into the shop and there are lots of clothes

" Pick the clothes you like the most" Rose says and I just nod in repons

I start to look at all the clothes in the shop but I can't choose, I want them all. There are a lot of clothes here.I just have to try all of them on.

"So there are some you like Ava ?" Asked Rose. I don't know what to choose. I'm not used to this kind of thing.

"You'd better choose two already and we can't buy the whole shop" says Louise as she looks desperately at her purse and sighs. It's not my fault if you don't have enough money for that.

A young girl saw everything that had happened and came next to me.

" You don't know what you want?" she asked me.I shook my head to say no.

"Since you have red eyes I would advise you to wear a black shirt and black trousers"

" Yes it's not bad I think it's good" I love black, it's simple but really good and you can wear it with everything.

I end up choosing a black shirt and black trousers then a red dress and finally a white shirt and blue trousers. I'm going to shine like a star with these clothes on me. I'm proud of myself.

" It's ok, you have chosen" says Rose

" Yes ." I said giving her the clothes I had chosen, she took Louise's purse before heading to the cashier with Louise. The cashier took the clothes and then told the price.

" That'll be 10,000 jewels please" I watch Louise's face , she looks impressed by the price of my clothes. I don't know why but that made me smile.

"So much, but there are not many clothes" say Louise

" Please pay instead of complaining.My love, " Rose said, with a face that made me laugh.

" Yes of course," Said Louise.

She gives the money to the cashier , there are tears in her eyes and after that we leave the shop. I don't know what we're going to do now. I just walk behind them and discover the city.

" I have to go to the guild to get the money for my mission yesterday" says Louise

On the way Rose tries to take my hand, but each time I let go of her hand. I don't like her touch. We get to the guild. The guild is huge and there are lots of people at the entrance, there's a signpost that says,welcome to Red Dragon. I wonder if there is a real dragon or even if it's a dragon that has set up this guild.Tha would be stupid but it could be true.

" Ava, there used to be a dragon here but it's been gone for a few years." Say Rose like she had read my thought.

" Oh that's interesting" I say thinking about what the dragon would look like. It's probably red, was it a girl or a boy? That's a great question.

A woman approaches us, she is very tall and beautiful. She's maybe a little too old for me though. She has light brown hair, her eyes are green with glasses on them.

" Louise you've come to collect your reward. You'll just have to go to the counter" Louise thanked her before going into the guild. I think I heard her name , Jane. She looks at me, maybe she's impressed by my charm.

" You didn't tell me that you had a kid Rose, I'm your best friend you can't do that to me." She sounded hurt but Rose laughed before responding.

" She's not our child I found her yesterday". Yeah don't make things stupid , there are not my parent.

" Yes, but a child is a child and since you decided to keep her it's like she's part of your family, tell me what your name is little girl" She turns to me and takes me in her arms. I just got out of here. It's too embarrassing.

" My name is Ava, nice to meet you Jane" I said , embarrassed by the way she has so much presence.

" This little one is great, keep her with me for a while. I want to talk to you Ava" Is she going to confess her love to me. I know I look so great though.

I look at Rose then she nods to me and says, I follow Jane then she takes me a little further so she could talk to me.

"Tell me right now what Louise and Rose are to you ?"What kind of question is this , I just know them for 1 day and I don't care about them but I know what she wants me to say.

" Well I feel like they are my parents because they take care of me and buy me what I need." They are just people that brought things for me.

"So if you like them, you should call them mum, don't you think?" Mum but they are not my parents. That is weird.

"I'm not their child, that's weird what you're asking me." But I could call you mommy.

" Don't worry you know they've always wanted to have a child since they got married, but never could. So maybe you could become their daughter. You know"She looks at me seriously I could make an effort just for that.

" Yeah, I think I'll try then." I don't know if I could call someone mom that is not my mother.

" Well, let's get back to them then." Jane and I went back to Rose and Louise had not come back yet.

"Tell me what you and Jane were talking about ? " asked Rose with a suspicious look on her face.

" We were talking about… "I was cut because at the same time someone tries to steal Rose's bag, but instead of running with the bag the person can't lift it, and the bag falls through the floor.

" What's in the bag that makes it so heavy?" said the thief.

Rose picks up her bag and beats the thief with it, the thief runs away. I have pity for him but he's alive .

"So what were we talking about Ava?" She looks scary.

She could kill me just with her hand. I should never try to kill her. I would die stupidly. I didn't expect her to be so spectacularly strong.

"She is one of the most powerful mages in our guild and also 26th in the world" Said Jane

"Just out of curiosity tell me how much your bag weighs ?" How can a bag be so heavy?

"I think it weighs 300 kilos" Rose say

" What 300 kilos?" I said surprised.

" It's not that heavy, when we get home I'll show you my altar collection and you'll see that my bag weighs nothing"

That means she could kill me in one shot, I better not piss her off then. Louise comes back with her reward.

" Do you want to go for an ice cream before we go home?"

"Yeah that's a great idea" Ice cream I really love that.

" Well, see you next time then, bye." say June waving at us

We go to a playground where there is a trampoline and swings and a sand pit for the children to play on.

"Ava, you can go play with the other kids" I don't care with this child I just want Ice cream.But it could be interesting.

" Yes, but then we'll really go and get some ice cream" Louise nods to say yes.

I went to join the kids who were playing on the swing. When I got close they all ran away calling me a monster and there was only one girl left she had brown hair and blue eyes. She looks cute.

" Why didn't you run away when you saw me?" I'm literally looking like a monster.

" Why would I run away from you? You don't seem to be a bad person either." This girl is either dumb or very nice but maybe she is blind too.

" My name is Ava and you" I want to be her friend now.

" My name is Ayumi. I'm half a dragon, do you want to play with me?" She doesn't even look like a dragon , she looks more human for me.

"Yes of course" I respond. It's the first time I played with someone other than Cookies.

I play with her, we play many games with her like swinging and running. I have a lot of fun and then her parents come to pick her up. I'm sad when I see her parents. I want to play with her and not go home.

" Don't worry I'll be back tomorrow , we can play together again" She said smiling and that put me in a good mood.

"See you tomorrow then" Ayumi leaves with her parents and I decide to go see Rose and Louise

" You had a good time?" I am really excited now.

"Yes it was great. I made a friend called Ayumi. She runs really fast. We played a race and I didn't win even once, can we come back tomorrow?" I can't wait to be there tomorrow and see her again.

" Yes we'll come here as many times as you want"

"That's great but now it's time to go and get our ice cream" say Louise

" Yes, finally"

We go to the ice cream shop and I get a strawberry ice cream and Rose and Louise get a vanilla ice cream.

"Be careful you got ice cream all over your face let me wipe it off" Rose takes a tissue from her bag and wipes the ice cream off my face

"You're really clumsy, you managed to get ice all over your face Ava" say Louise

" It's okay, but you've got ice all over your face too" I say laughing

" What? I'm not, I'm an adult"

" She's right Louise you got ice cream all over your face Louise "

Rose wiped Louise's face and we quietly finished our ice cream and went home. I run to Cookies to give her a hug

"Kids have a lot of energy, don't you think Louise?"

"Yeah, you're totally right."

Maybe I should call her Mum, like Jane told me, I don't know if it's weird. I just have to say it.

" Mum tell me what we are going to eat for dinner tonight" I'm embarrassed now, maybe it wasn't a good idea.

" You call me Mom?"

"You're my mom, aren't you?"

Rose starts crying and I go to comfort her, I didn't think it would make her cry.

" Mom don't cry please I don't like it when you cry" I said, trying to comfort her.

" Don't worry these are just tears of joy" she said and then hugged me.

" I want a hug too, don't forget me" Said Louise.

Louise joins us for the hug, we really looked like a real happy family
