Chapter 3: Unexpected Curse

He slowly patted his pants and polo to remove any dirt. After that, he picked up his clipboard and the papers that blew I the wind earlier. As he was done picking and clipping them all, he noticed the beautiful decorated G-pen he found earlier.

Finding this pen to be beautiful, he shrugged and took the pen with him as he went out of the alley onto the bustling streets of New York.

No one noticed or payed any attention on him as people minded their own business.

Verzai, now know as Vincent Baley, thought about what he have to go through just to retrieve his memory.

I now officially have a trauma for trucks. Why the hell do I have to be almost ran over by one just to have my memories back? Just why?

He thought about what happened earlier and his face can't help but scrunch up and get chills up his spine. He was almost ran over by the same truck that killed him in his past life; same paint color, same front number sticker, same plate number and same number of wheels.

This means that... even in this life it seems like Truck-kun still bared hatred on his past doings.

He shook his head and tried not to think about this anymore. He thought that this would probably be the last time Truck-kun would ever bother him, as that hot angel manager said to him back in that pure white space.

As he continued to walk towards his home, his mind wandered and thought about the talents he got for this life.

~--[ Flashback-kun! ]--~

"You're quite lucky. Although one of the talents you drew is quite unsuitable for that world, at least you got two talents that can help you live in that chaotic world."

|| Talents ||: [ Weapons Genius ], [ Hacking/Programming Aptitude ], and [ Born Manga Artist ]

~--[ Flashback-kun End! ]--~

With [ Weapons Genius ], I can master using weapons much more faster and even reach the peak where I can use just anything in my possession as a weapon for slaughter.

With this talent, he can have Deadshot level weapons proficiency or even higher in just a year. He can even do that pencil trick of Joker if he wanted.

As for the [ Hacking/Programming Aptitude ]... it is a bit anticlimactic as the lady explained that this one only increased my comprehensive ability regarding the subject. Though I admit that this will help with erasing my tracks on cameras.

This talent isn't as good as the last but it is super helpful to him. Although he won't be able to surpass Jarvis with his talent in this field, he can still be invisible on SHIELD's radar if he trained this talent of his to the peak.

About the third and last talent of his, it is still quite a bit useful. He can just recreate manga from his previous world for some quick buck. Part of a world traveler's perk is that they can escape the copyright law.

(A/N: Not the author though T - T )

While he was thinking about how to use his talents optimally, he unknowingly arrived in front of his house.

With a smile on his face, he opened the door and yelled out.

"Grace! Your brother's here!"

Right after he yelled out, he saw a little girl come out of the kitchen. It was his little sister, Natasha. She is only four this year and she is an orphan like him. After the orphanage burned down in an accident, he lived alone with this little sister of his.

Even though he gained his memories back, he still loves this little sister of his very dearly. She is his only family in this life and he would do anything for her.

"Come give your big bro a hug!" Vincent opened his arms wide, expecting his little sister to hug him.

But to his confusion, it didn't come. He looked at his sister and saw that she was looking at him, confused. No, more precisely, it seemed like she was looking... right though him.

Just as he was about to ask her a question, he heard her soronous cute voice.

"Hmm? I thought big bro came home... why would the door open?"

This question made him freeze. But as if telling him that bad things could be worse, he saw his little sister walk forward and... pass right through him.

As soon as this happened, a scary thought flashed in his mind. Dismissing this and not accepting his current reality, he kept a fragile facade of a smile on his face as he once again tried to call out for his little sister to no avail.

"No! Nat! Big bro is here! I'm just right here, Nat! Why can't you see me?!"

As the reality of his situation began to sink in, he teared up as he thought about what would happen to his little sister now. She is the only person that have any semblance of family for him.

While he was crying on the couch beside his little sister who was watching cartoons in TV, he saw it flash and change as a message appeared.

|| Dear Verzai, now Vincent,

 I am extremely apologetic for your current predicament as Truck-kun was never supposed to be there as you regain your memory. It was supposed to be only an ordinary truck. With Truck-kun's interference, he also brought a G-pen Artifact from another world to your world. This G-pen is the one you have picked up. It is a cursed Artifact from another world and it grants memories about the past and future of your world in exchange for being granted the Negator Power: Unknown, but in your case as you already have the knowledge about it you were only cursed with being UNKNOWN. This was not supposed to happen and as compensation, I would be activating your system in advance and letting you pick the first template for it. I wish you luck.

  ~Sincerely, S. Angel ||

Anger, hate, horror, exasperation; these emotions flashed across his face as he read the message from the angel manager.
