Chapter 19: The Scarlet Witch is passionate! Natasha is here! [Extra Chapter]

After the chaos subsided, Lorien was caught off guard by Wanda's sudden embrace. He hadn't anticipated such a reaction, and certainly not what followed. Despite his earlier suggestion to pull away, Wanda held him even tighter, surprising him with her intensity.
Lorien quickly realized that something significant had shifted within Wanda. Her emotions were raw and palpable — a complex mix of exhilaration, relief, deep gratitude, and a burgeoning sense of affection.
Understanding the depth of the moment, Lorien gently guided Wanda to a more secluded spot. With her still clinging to him, he looked down at her, her face buried against his chest. He spoke softly, trying to grasp the magnitude of her feelings, "Wanda, you..."
Before he could finish, Wanda tilted her head up and leaned in. Their foreheads touched lightly, and then she kissed him, a tender connection that carried the weight of her unspoken emotions.
The proximity of the police sirens drew them back to reality, reluctantly pulling apart with a shared sigh. Despite the dim lighting of their corner, their eyes conveyed a fierce intensity, a silent exchange of emotions that words could not capture.
Wanda, still catching her breath, seemed to be seeking assurance and solace. Lorien, sensing her vulnerability, gently touched her face. He wiped the corner of her mouth with his sleeve and spoke in a calming tone, "We have plenty of time, Wanda. There's a lot ahead of us. But for now, we should move, Miss Witch."
Wanda, her hand resting on his, nodded softly. "Um..."
...
Outside on the street, the scene was bustling with police activity. Several squad cars had arrived, and among them were Agent Natasha Romanoff and NYPD Commissioner George Stacy, Gwen Stacy's father. Natasha approached the covered manholes and surveyed the aftermath, noting the unusual sight of cars placed over the manhole covers.
"Who managed this?" Natasha mused aloud, inspecting the scene. "And where are they now?"
Commissioner Stacy, after speaking with some witnesses, returned to Natasha. "Agent Romanoff, the people here mentioned a 'spider lady' in a tight suit and another woman using scarlet magic. They believe the latter was the Scarlet Witch."
Natasha raised an eyebrow. "Scarlet Witch? And she handled this with another super-powered individual? That's unexpected."
At that moment, Wanda and Lorien emerged from the shadows. "Natasha," Wanda called, walking towards her. "The situation is under control, but the mutant rats are still trapped below. We need a team to handle it swiftly."
Natasha looked from Wanda to Lorien, and back again. "I've already arranged for additional agents and police to assist. However, I need you to recount what happened in detail."
Wanda agreed and began her account to a police officer equipped with a body camera. Throughout her story, she carefully avoided mentioning Lorien's involvement, earning a silent nod of approval from him. She narrated how she arrived and responded to the crowd's panic, how the mysterious spider lady appeared and helped her contain the mutant rats, and how they managed to keep the situation under control until the authorities arrived.
As she finished her story, Wanda noted that the spider lady had swiftly left the scene once the police arrived. This intrigued Natasha, who was keen to learn more about this new figure.
"Who's that spider lady?" Natasha asked.
"I don't know," Wanda admitted. "She just appeared and started helping me out of nowhere and then disappeared just as quickly."
Natasha pondered this. "It sounds like there's a new superhero in town. I'll inform Tony Stark and see if we can identify her using his technology."
Wanda nodded, feeling a sense of relief that her story had been accepted. She turned to look at Lorien again, then back at Natasha. "Can I leave now?"
Natasha studied Wanda for a moment before responding. "This incident is significant, and it's already hitting the news. Ideally, you should come with us for a more detailed debriefing. But I'm not going to force you, Wanda. The choice is yours."
Wanda, aware of the gravity of the situation and the need to maintain some semblance of stability, agreed reluctantly. She looked over at Lorien, who had been waiting patiently. "I'll go talk to Lorien and then return," she said to Natasha.
Natasha raised an eyebrow, half-amused and half-bemused.
'Aren't you a super hero, so why are you acting like a lovestruck teenager'
